Tangled...

So a lot of people that I know are really upset with the new Disney movie coming out, Tangled. If you haven't seen the preview yet, you can find it on youtube.

It's supposed to be an adaption of Rapunzel.

I, personally, think that the movie looks hilarious and awesome. I'm really really excited for it.

johnny 07-26-2010 04:30 PM

Mneh.

For some reason, I just cannot emotionally connect with computer-generated movies like that. It reminds me of Shrek. Fakey, plastic-doll people.

And, in all honesty, those particular ones look like they were originally profiled for a 2D movie but Disney's gotta be in with the in-crowd and make everything computerized like eeeeverything else on the market.

Lucid: 07-26-2010 05:14 PM

I think it looks cute, and I would want to go see it. but it would be cooler if it was a musical, or 2D, or something good like that.

Kyon 07-26-2010 05:16 PM

Oh yeah, I like musicals. >w>

The computer thing doesn't really bother me at all. I mean, you can do things faster, so it's more economical. But I agree that I enjoy hand-drawings more overall.

Duchess 07-30-2010 08:45 PM

i'm definitely all for hand drawn love <3333

But Rapunzel's hair looks sexy in 3D XDDD I might just watch screen caps from it. The storyline doesnt interest me much. But my mum wants to see it, so I'd probably end up goin anyways

Flaria 07-30-2010 08:48 PM

I so want to see that movie once its comes out. I liked them in both ways but I always enjoyed the Computer styled more for some reason because, high possibility of liking to see most characters comes to semi-realistic to life. x3

Duchess 07-30-2010 08:53 PM

I used to like 3D because of that when I was younger. I liked the idea of them being "real" with body and mass.

Now that I'm older, I appreciate seeing my drawing come to life and move on their own more.. as you know, drawings! xD I started to love drawing more and more and really like the idea of seeing that drawing in motion... not a lifelike model of a character.

Hence I started studying animation x3

If Tangled was a 2D movie, I would DEFINITELY see it. But as it's CGI, I'm not too interested at all.

Flaria 07-30-2010 08:56 PM

Yeah, I always loved both but I always enjoy the 2D more depending on the characters and the story plots. Lol. If I was doing Animation. I'm slow. They need people who able to sketch them quickly without much mistakes.

Taiki 08-03-2010 04:14 AM

I actually really like CG movies and I will probably see it when it comes out. I don't really like the story of Rapunzel but Disney usually changes things up. P:

I remember Disney announcing this movie was going to be next when the Princess and the Frog movie came out but for some reason I assumed it was going to be a 2D movie, I guess I was wrong. O:

Electric Roses 08-10-2010 05:53 AM

I'm not sure why people are getting so upset over it O.o looks good to me x3 I love CG kids films though, I'm so immature :D I particularly want to see it because the voice of the guy is Zach Levi and I love the TV show chuck ^o^

Ashurato 08-14-2010 07:08 PM

I think it looks hilarious and the main character kind of reminds me of Cary Elwes. XD

Burial 08-16-2010 03:33 AM

Oh i remember seeing a preview for that movie, It looks like its going to be Hilarious :3

Celeste S. 09-15-2010 10:23 AM

it looks rather neat to me so far. i tend to like 2D over CG, but i wouldn't mind seeing it.

Moon 09-30-2010 06:31 PM

It looks pretty cute.
Fairytale twists seem to be all the rage.
I'm wondering how much innuendo they'll have for the adults.
Seems to be growing, with them.

Yumm 10-03-2010 10:05 PM

i love animated movies, that movie looks cute and funny

Alyssia 11-29-2010 05:03 PM

I can't say that I'm upset about it being computerized....but I think that it would look a little better if it were in 2D. Overall it looks like it will be a lot of fun~ I'll look for it on dvd when it comes out though. I'm not much of a movie goer anymore~

AcidDrop 11-29-2010 10:07 PM

to be honest, i don't like the look of it, i mean i will probably go and see it but i wish they'd drawn it, like the amazing job they did for the princess & the frog!

Poggio 12-05-2010 05:24 PM

It was actually a surprisingly good movie. Very cute. Some of the scenes felt like they were stolen from ff but we can forgive them for that.

Jesc 12-06-2010 03:05 AM

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I really want to especially because the main character looks exactly like my best friend, if she were a Disney princess. I think it's going to be a fun adaption, but I'd love to know opinions from those who saw it.

NikkoGallarado 12-06-2010 05:12 PM

The movie was quiet funny.

Taiki 12-06-2010 05:48 PM

Yeah I went and saw it and I loved it. xD That horse made me laugh so much!

I especially liked the ending look of Rapunzel. o3o

Blue 12-06-2010 11:55 PM

I want to see it. I always prefered 2D, but that factor won't stop me from seeing a movie alone.

Taiki 12-07-2010 12:49 AM

I watched it in 3D and I was surprised at how ...3D it was. xD Like, the movie looked like it has so much depth in it. It was totally worth it in my opinion. O:

Blue 12-07-2010 01:57 AM

Huh, didn't think about 3D.
I might go see it if I have time.
I have exams and packing to do first >:/
...damn.

Taiki 12-07-2010 02:00 AM

I'm easily impressed though so I dunno. xD

Shenandoah 12-08-2010 11:52 PM

I hear the movie is absolutely adorable and I really want to go see it despite the fact I'm nearly 25. Apparently, this will be one of the last Disney Princess additions for a while, so if you like the Princesses, you should probably go see this one.

Hero 12-09-2010 04:16 PM

My friend just watched it last night and she loved it.
I really need to see this movie now haha

Fizzyology 12-10-2010 12:55 PM

I really want to see it myself. I can understand that people are tired of remakes or movies based off of other already made movies, but in the long run, all Disney did was take the basics of Rapunzel and then added a lot of their own ideas. I mean I don't remember Rapunzel being a crazy blonde with a lizard as a companion lol

Isis 12-11-2010 12:50 PM

I saw it and thought it was okay... mainly, the songs were pretty banal but the horse and chameleon were so awesome <3

Snow 12-24-2010 06:38 AM

I enjoyed the movie, myself. It was a bit predictable *which heck, is hard to not make that way due to it being an old story* but overall funny and fun to watch.

Uke 12-24-2010 04:40 PM

I saw it and I thought it was just precious! I loved how sweet and innocent Repunzle was, while still being able to kick serious butt!

Fake 01-02-2011 05:33 PM

I've never had a problem with computer generated movies :o
I watched it with my friends during winter break, and I loved it!

ATorridLoveAffair 01-05-2011 03:16 PM

Watching it right now.
Meh so far.

Jenny Harper 01-05-2011 03:39 PM

I am very much looking forwards to the movie and I'm looking forwards to watching it. It looks hilarious :)

Ana 01-06-2011 01:19 AM

Originally I wasn't that interested in it, but then I went to see it with a friend and really liked it. The two main characters were both really likeable, I found myself truly caring about what happened to them. And Max the horse was amazing. I want a horse like that, lol. It was just fun and cute and touching. Probably one of the best non-Pixar 3D movies in a long time.

ATorridLoveAffair 01-07-2011 06:05 PM

Guess I'm the only one who wasn't in love with it. :l

TreeGoddessAlways 01-09-2011 11:25 PM

It was a cute movie. Very sweet, very safe, very Disney. I was much more pleased with The Princes and the Frog. I tend like movies with more interesting Villians.

Agent Night 01-10-2011 01:05 AM

It was a lot more slapstick than I'm used to seeing in a Disney movie. I didn't think it was too bad overall

.rousium 02-12-2011 06:37 PM

I don't usually like these types of movies, shrek..uh, you know? But this movie was great. I really love Pascal. I've looked everywhere for a cute doll but no luck..so far!

Super cute movie and i'm a huge Disney fan..like, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty so yeah.

Echo-chan713 02-18-2011 01:13 PM

SPOILER WARNING

I watched the movie not too long ago on my computer, it's a really good movie. She's not the total dependent on someone or even Prince Charming to rescue her from despair kind of Princess. Some viewers could relate to her with the tense relationship between "Mother" and Daughter. Finally a movie that I remember that has no Prince in it to rescue her.

At the end I kinda cried a little when we thought Flynn was going to die. It was a nice movie that I can watch over and over again (which is rare for me)
