Oh oh oh~ I know a good puzzle game!~
If anyone has ever played Fable 2 you will know what I'm talking about: Keystone/Bloodstone, I'm making a set out of chip-paper. |
never played it XD did some newspaper puzzle today though
Vampires!!! whoooa hows it going?! *gets squished but doesnt care* |
Been trying to figure out a puzzle in Physics class for a while now...doesn't help that it keeps getting messed up.
|
I have brain destroyer: A bear walks south for one kilometer, then it walks west for one kilometer, then it walks north for one kilometer and ends up at the same point from which it started. What color was the bear?
And yes you can answer this with information given. |
uhh white cuz the iceburg moved?
Espy- what kind of puzzle? |
@Dark: White, because the bear was a polar bear near the pole: Euclidean geometry doesn't work there.
@Ninja: It's a puzzle of a brain. |
Espy is right. The north and south pole are funky like that.
And what about this one, Espy? A chicken farmer also has some cows for a total of 30 animals, and the animals have 74 legs in all. How many chickens does the farmer have? |
Oh gawd I hate that kind of puzzle. Gimme a bit.
|
Twenty-three. Basic math.
|
And Espy is right again. This one is fun but rather simple, now don't think oo hard, Espy dear.
Three students checked into a hotel and paid the clerk $30 for a room ($10 each). When the hotel manager returned, he noticed that the clerk had incorrectly charged $30 instead of $25 for the room. The manager told the clerk to return $5 to the students. The clerk, knowing that the students would not be able to divide $5 evenly, decided to keep $2 and to give them only $3. The students were very happy because they paid only $27 for the room ($9 each). However, if they paid $27 and the clerk kept $2, that adds up to $29. What happened to the other Dollar? |
Uh....I gotta go eat; I'll do that one later XD
|
Okay, I can wait to see if you will get this one right.
|
Back. Gonna read that now.
EDIT: Ugh. I've seen this one before, and hated it... |
$25 --> $30 -$5
$10 each --> $30 30 - 3 = 27; hotel gets $25 + clerk's $2; the $3 was added to $25, not subtracted from $30. They each only had to pay $25 / 3 = $8.33 Uh...That was my thought process; not sure if it made sense. |
i remember that one too XD never got it though :P i like 3-D puzzles mostly...i have a gigaminx and im mostly finished with it. (12-sided puzzle is whats in the link)
|
oh gawd, that looks like a pain in the ass.
if you hadn't gotten it by now, I love mindfuck puzzles >.> |
haha theyre so annoying sometimes but i like them too, usually XD
|
It be going well :3
Should try come on here more often xD |
yes come often!!! havent seen you around though,...o.O
|
I think I joined when they were having their masquerade event, or just before then.
|
Puzzle time. Actually, this is more math than anything; stolen from Math Team today.
Using four 4's, make an expression equal to each of the numbers from 0 to 20. You can use +, -, x, /, !, sq. root, etc. For example, 4/4 - 4/4 = 0 |
wait so...20 equations? blargh. does anyone know when the next event might be?
4+4+4+4= 16 4+4 - 4/4= 7 right? 4+4-4+4= 8 im bored now.... |
The "next event" was over by this time last year...I think the staff's just really busy.
Haha, sorry I bored you. I've a strange fondness for math. |
i do like math, usually, but more interesting problems like anti derivatives and spinning a function around an axis and finding the volume :)
|
AUGH. Hate revolving stuff. The class failed that test so badly, haha. Anti-derivs are fun, though, especially when you race to do easy homework problems. /nerd
|
i actually did well XD then when we reviewed it and had another test, i got 3/4 and everyone else got 0 or 1s....it was great XD but since it was so bad, we had a take home packet and i did horribly. and it replaced the other grade -_-
|
ive been doing tridokus, if you type it in google there should be a site that pops up on top that has them online. like sudoku except a triangle!! i just solved another one XD
