--I'm pretty sure some guy has said that.

Anyway, I'm sure some of the persons on this site have tattoos, have plans for tattoos, do tattoos, design tattoos, or like looking at tattoos.

So this thread is about (no, wait for it) TATTOOS.

Post pictures, as long as they comply with the ToS and Rules, or post designs/plans for tattoos. Discuss the pain behind them, the fun behind them, or anything related with tattoos.
Start talk on any extreme body mods and feel free to link pictures of other neat tattoos you might have stumbled on during your ventures on the internet.


(please make sure your tattoos comply with the Rules, I understand some people get tattoos with questionable content)

I refuse to post pictures because too many people have been assholes on other sites.

But I have a black tattoo of a rose with my dad's name underneath it.

I'd get a tattoo but 1.) my school doesn't allow for that, 2.) my personality seems to somehow go against it, and 3.) I'm freakishly afraid of pain.

What can your school say if they can't see it?

And it didn't hurt that bad. I've had more pain from a shot I had to get....before they sewed up this area right above my ear.

i adore tats but i am mundo ocd, i always scratch off temporary tats within a couple hours, i know better than to get a real one

And Yokuutsu, I understand about not posting pictures. But that's neat - do you have any other plans for tattoos?

Chocobo, lol. If you get a magical tattoo that would rise to the surface of your skin and then disappear at will.....

No plans currently. I plan on going into business management....so until I know where I end up at....I'm going to refrain from more for awhile.

That's probably a good idea. Once thing I've noticed is that tattoos have become a lot more common recently - i used to play 'count the people will tattoos' at beaches and pools and such
now i play 'count the people without tattoos'

They're still not too common in upper management...which is where I want to end up-more money.

in business, they aren't common, right. Many of the biologists and teachers i know have tattoos CX It's so commonplace now, i used to worry about getting one. now i'm just like 'WOOOOOO DRAW ALL OVER MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

That's what I think. when i feel the need for inks, I'll go do it, but only then.

otherwise it's a couple k to remove it right when you start to regret it

Tattoos are interesting, but I think I would change my mind about what what I want too much to get one.

That and my parents would not like it that much if I got one.

Sleeves are done a lot, but I think you should get what pleases you and not worry about the thoughts of gits who call it 'overdone'

That sounds cool, but also like you're in for a lot of pain.

A lot of people are Irish. So the heritage card only works....if you're a lot more Irish than most people -just saying-

I have had people say shit about my tattoo. Bad shit. Which made me learn a few things: Don't ask a serious question on Gaia. Gaia does not know how to answer a question without being douchebags at the same time. The only good tattoo by their standards must be intricate and colorful. Mine meets neither of those.

I only have one tattoo.
I'm not entirely happy with it anymore, so I may change/add something.
It's a little wing above my right ankle. If I find my camera, I will post a photo of it.

I want to get two swallows on my hips, though. I know, I know, they're one of these overdone tattoos, but I really don't care because they have a meaning that I love so much.
They stand for hope and true love. And a long time ago, sailors would get them as a talisman to guide them back home to their loved ones. They would get their first swallow for s certain amount of nautical miles travelled on the oceans and then a 2nd one after another amount again.
I also love the Love-Faith-Hope sign for its meaning. But unfortunetly I hate religion, so getting it is out of the question. I would have to take out the cross and add somthing else that stands for Love-Trust-Hope. So yeah, I don't know when I will be getting my next tattoo.

I've often thought about getting the Star Wars Rebel Alliance emblem on my neck.
But that would be so INCREDIBLY nerdy that I could never bring myself to do it without questioning my sanity. XD

I dont know. Just because I have been a Star Wars fan for the last 13 years doesn't mean I will be one for the next 50 to 60 years! XD

Ah no, I thought about it but I don't really like the location for it.
It would kinda have to wrap around the leg and I think it would look weird.
