Story: Two players get trapped in a game. Let the story arch begin.

It was after class. He rushed through the streets like a kid excited to get to the good houses on Halloween. His destination was his friends place. Nestled deep with in his bag was the newest version Beta version of Verquis Quo, the epic massive online video game that held millions captive. Version 4 promised to deliver a real virtual experience. Being the fan that Julius was, he scored a free trial version from comic con San Diego. His nerd-gasm was reaching a fever pitch as he banged on his friends door.

Tsukasa is in classes as well, but his are online...so he has a lot of more time to waste than any other student ever should have. Which means he's in the middle of playing a game when there is some banging on his door. "Be there in a moment." He yells before bidding farewell to his crew on the game and quitting. Then he finally goes to and opens the door. "I see you're excited today." To state the obvious.

He licked his lips and grinned. Quickly he twisted his bag around and unzipped it. With out saying anything, he simply bounced as he pressed the game case into the others face. He let out a breath did didn't realize he was holding. "It came with two headsets, and two install codes. Guess who I choose to be my partner. Eh Eh eh." He time he said Eh his eyebrows rose excitedly.

He backs away a little bit. It's hard to see what something is when it's against your eyeball pretty much. He just starts smiling. "I have no clue whatsoever. Couldn't have anything to do about you being here could it?" It's obvious he's joking as he pulls the other in a bit to shut the door. "You know where the electronics cave is." He has more than one computer...because he's an addict and can actually play two games at once.

He shuffles inside and into the Cave. He specifically made his friend leave one corner in the room full of wires an outlet free for him when he came over. He plopped into his bean bag chair and plugged his computer into the only available socket. "hmmm..." He says at last. "You are lucky I love you more then my own mother." He said not looking up but punching in his layers of passwords. "Do you have munchies or should we call the china hut?"

Tsukasa just smiles at him. "I would say I love you more than my electronics....but ya'll are tied now." He sticks his tongue out at the other a bit. He's joking. He needs social contact. "I have some munchies...but we should call them anyway cause...that sounds really good about now." And his stomach does agree as it makes this ungodly noise.

Julius turned and made a quick joking kissy face at Tsu. "Good, I need to refuel after that all night paperfest." He shook his head. he had spent a terrible night alternating between writing his paper, drinking monster energy drinks and raiding a dungeon. "Do you want your usual?" The people at China hut had heard from them so often, they had gladly opened up a tab for him. His fingers were still working over his computer when he was prompted to put the disk in. The computer let out a soft sigh.

And what does Tsukasa do? He starts singing. "Can you feel the love tonight?" Elton John song is a go. "How it's laid to rest.It's enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best." He couldn't stop himself. "Of course...and can we get one...some of those things? One of those sweet little pastry like things?" His eyes are kind of shiny at the idea of it. He has no idea what they're called or anything...he just knows they're good and delicious.

"Yes!" Julius laughed. Of course he always caved very easily to Tsukasa's demands. "And an extra order of egg rolls." Since his computer was in the process of setting things up, he abandoned it on the bean bag chair, shifting through his pockets for his cell phone. He walked to Tsu's kitchen as he made the call placing the order.

"Yay!" Tsukasa tackle/hugs him tightly. He loves those friggin things. Though that might just be because they're sugary as hell. Sugar is always good. "Egg rolls are good too....actually all Chinese is good." He just kind of follows Julius into the kitchen as he orders. Once he's done, "So now, talk about the game." He knows what he's seen on the internet, but there has to be more.

( Sorry I havent responded to this one in a while I realize I had to think of the game world since I don't play wow)

The boy brought the game case with him and pushed it into the others hands. "Now Image!!!" He exclaimed with hand gestures. "the gave we love, but this time there is a story mode, which takes your character into the peril of over 20 dungeons, thousands of side quest, and internet co-op. The best part is, even though the game is new, you can use your stats from your old saved files so you don't have to remake your character." He had yet to get to the best part. The part where the users controlled the story line, and that it is the first online virtual experience by a mass community. He wanted to save some surprises for his friend. "And we get to test it out. Grim is back!" He jumped and pulled out his wallet to see if he had enough cash to pay for the food.

(It's alright....and it doesn't have to be WoW....I just picked a class/race from there cause....it would simple to find it again and know what I'm doing XP)

Tsukasa just chuckles a bit as Julius's excitement...not that he isn't excited too...he just doesn't show it like that. "I just hope all the dungeons aren't the same. You know how many games recycle those. So I hope they put some extras in.....or will when it's released." His excitement is showing in the wiggling like thing he's doing now. It looks weird probably to anyone in the universe. "And good deal. You know who I'm using of course." He has multiple characters on any game he plays if it's allowed. "Sasaki. Always need a healer.....or ten." He snorts a bit.

( I am basing it off the ff world because I like having things like gun blades X-D)

"Yes, it will be glorious, I have saved and leveled up Grim just so I can be badass when the new game arrived." He sighed like a fanboy imaging the epic battles he would have, in virtual reality. "Though there is a warning that it might hurt if we play for a prolonged amount of time... some blah blah about messing with the psyche." Warning labels were for sissys.

"Well, I leveled mine up....because I have no life." Tsukasa chuckles a bit hearing the fanboy sigh. "Well, if it's virtual reality....it can mess with you. Like walking on the treadmill and getting off. Your body is used to moving without going anywhere...so you're disoriented when you stop." He shrugs a bit. He kind of nudges the other a bit. "Game time?"

The others eyes widened biting his lip. The last time it was game time they had forgotten to get their order and it sat on the porch all night until a neighbors loose dog had gotten in the food. "Game time." The other nodded. He grabbed a soda and scurried back to the room. He plugged both helmets to the usb ports on his computer. "Since there are two helmets it should let us both log in at the same time." He put the disk in the game and gave Tsu a head and controller set.

Tsukasa wants to get playing. He's excited about playing if he;s wiggling is any clue. He joins in on the grabbing a soda thing and goes and sits by Julius's laptop."Game time! Game!" Just very excited. He looks at the headset for a moment before shoving it on his head and taking the controller. "Let's play the game now!" He's kind of bouncing a bit.

He was a little glad his friend had already put his head sit on since he was bouncing in his lap. He followed the other and typed in a few commands. Across their faces the command prompt for the game and the opening cut scene emerged the two in a world of realistic graphics. The screen prompted them through a series of instructions which logged them in and loaded their beloved characters. Finally another cut scene reveled the story, that all teh beta players were invited to a special gathering at the palace to launch the new game. Once the scene was over a black clothed figure gestured at the players before shooting a ball of darkness. He thought this was the age old villain that the games usually implored. It was just after cut scene that showed the players how to get to the palace, that Julius felt something strange tugging at his stomach, it was odd like a vacuum cleaner. As far as he knew they didn't leave one on. He attempted to pay it no mind, until his entire body felt like he was being squeezed through a tube and he blacked out.

"YAAAAAY! Game!" Excite Tsukasa is excited. "Good graphics..." Especially since this isn't the final release or anything. "I missed yoooou Sasaki!" He giggles a bit. "Eh...what's this?" He likes to talk while playing his games. If no one could tell. Tsukasa gets that weird feeling as well. I feel....weird?" He's a bit confused...he doesn't feel sick...just weird. Tsukasa goes through the same blackout before waking up, still confused. He kind of pokes at Julius's character that he can see. "Hey, Julius! Are you alright?"

Unlike his friend, Julius felt sick. When he was done emptying his stomach he looked over to see his friend, but realized that he was in his rp character. "Sa...sasaki?" He reached out and tapped his friend, he felt so real. He assumed it was the produce of the virtual reality device but it felt a little too real.

Tsukasa/Sasaki just lucked out on the not being sick thing. He steps back a bit at the tapping. "A-are you alright?" He's just a bit worried about his friend. He'll deal with any other problems later. Him/his character fidgets, a bit anxiously. "Do you feel alright?" He looks worried, just a lot.

He sat up looking around. "I feel fine, I think." He laughed a little. "just not used to being Grim." he admitted, it was far different seeing his friend and himself, he guessed as the person they were lord over for all these years. "I mean first persons a little... weird..." was the only word he could find for it. "To the castle?" He wanted to get in a decent quest before their delivery came.

( I haven't figured out how they realize they are stuck yet.)

"Good...cause even if I don't show it....I do worry about you sometimes..." Tsukasa says softly. He snorts a bit at the next part-not being used to it. "Yeah first person is a bit weird, but we'll get used to it. It's how we live our lives you know." He just nods a bit. "But if they say our princess is in another castle....I reserve the right to hurt people."

(They realize they can't take off the helmet things? Or when they realize they aren't holding a controller?)

( hmmm I guess either could work. Although my character can be dense xD )

He laughed. "As long as you don't refer to life as, live action, I think we are still good." He used Grimsoirs staff to help himself up off the ground and took a good look at the world around them. Beyond a city lie, just down the hill from where the pair had landed. "I'll be happy as long as shes better then princess peach." He held out his hand for the other. "The party awaits us."

Tsukasa/Sasaki laughs a bit. "Real life is real life. Live action is anime movies except instead of cartoons...with real people. I promise to not get those confused." He laughs a bit more. "Yep....5 billion castles and still no damn princess." He just takes the hand without thinking. "Onward! To great adventure! And treasure of course."

(Lol...just a suggestion since it came to me lol)

He didn't realize he was squeezing the others hand since it came so naturally to him. He pulled their joined hands forward to pull Tsu closer. "And who else do you want in our party?" He asked "Two mages in the woods alone..." He stopped himself it sounded like an introduction to a bad joke. "well this game promises to be hard we are going to need more then just us."

Tsukaas stumbles kind of, but it's all good. "Well....we need some kind of warrior?" Basic party tactics. "A tank or something." Which may not be available due to this game being new, but you never know. He snorts a bit. "And now for the rest of that joke?" He nudges the other a bit. "And you know, no matter how dangerous it is....I'm willing to charge into death!" And sometimes, he's actually won doing that.

"I guess that is what this party is for, and no I will not have you charging in head first." He squeezed the others hand, remembering what happened, quite a few times at the latter recklessness "Not this time... they say the visors connect directly to the brain. Besides..." he added with a smirk. "That is my job." He released the others hand to teasingly play with his hair as they came to the gates of the city. It was already teeming with life from npcs and other users that already gained access to the game.

He starts flailing a bit. "But that's the fun way to play! Charge into the unknown and kick butt or die trying!" Or, at least...that's the way he sees it. It's always been fun to him. Besides, video games have unlimited lives...so it's all good. "So we're in the Matrix now?" He chuckles a bit. He shakes his head a bit. "Time to find someone to drag with us! Who do you want?" Like class or abilities wise.

His eyes looked around at the users that were already slowly forming parties. A shrug fell from his shoulders. "I dunno, a warrior I guess, we have a healer... an archer?"

( did you want to double characters?)

He snorts a bit. "So whoever's left over?" He's obviously joking, but he had to say it. "Healers are always a good thing to have...or others who know at least one healing spell. "How about...a thief....or the equivalent here? You know, in case there are treasure chests. Locked ones." He's played games where you end up screwed because you don't have a good enough thief.

(Up to you?)

He looked around at the selection of people and squeezed Tsu's hand. "at the level's we are now. I think we can do the beginners quest with out any one else." Even he had a few other skills under his belt after all he was part knight. "If need be we can find some other users at the party." It sounded like a reasonable idea to him. He pulled the other along into the city pausing every so often at a shop.

Tsukasa just smiles, squeezing his hand back. "Yep, good point. Time to go on the grand adventure alone. Besides, the game should let us add people in the field if we want too. So we're all good." It's obvious that Tsukasa is excited-he's kind of wiggling. While they're in the city, Tsukasa of course has to look at shiny weaponry and potions. "You can't have too many potions."

He laughed and wondered away from his companion. He started looking over the items like a bird drawn to shiny things. He was looking for talismans in particular something that would give Tsu's healing power an extra boost with out killing his other attributes. At last he came across a pearl medallion molded into a strange hybrid of a Celtic knot and a Chinese knot with jade embellishments. The npc launched into an explanation of the world and the town and how it was a special beta item not to be offered in the game until the second expansion pack. He bought it once he was able to get an word in edge wise. Saving it as a surprise for later in the game.

Long as they can find each other later, Tsukasa is fine with this. And so he wanders off to potions. Which he finds out that you can buy potions you can throw and do damage. And mana potions....and of course the basic healing potions. He must buy some, just in case, which he is focusing more on the throwing potions and mana potions. They should be good with those, but he can't currently find any that boost attributes. "Maybe they'll add it later." After he looks at some things, and plans on buying some of them...especially this armor that boosts health...his friend can wear it. And health boosting is good. So, he goes to find his friend and shoves potions at him. "Here. Take these."

He looked at all the stuff that had been put in his arms and laughed. "Why thank you mother." He looked around and bought a bag to carry most of the items in. Once they were settled he plucked one out at a time to inspect it. While looking over the strange assortment of things he debated giving Tsu his gift, deciding it best be kept for later. "Shall we make our way to the castle? I'm kinda starving."

Tsukasa just smiles at him. "They seemed useful to me. Especially the throwing ones. They can do damage from farther away. And without using mana or anything. What isn't good about that?" He just follows him and plops down, watching Julius/Grim go through them all. "I can run in circles while throwing them...trying to regen mana. So I won't be completely useless." He just blinks a bit at the idea of food. "Fooooood!" He starts kind of nudging the other towards food.

"Down boy." He said realizing jokingly he probably should have gotten Tsu a collar for his pendant. "I am not even sure if we can eat virtual food." He wondered if their chinese food had been left at the door step again but continued to pull the other towards the castle. The creators had done a grand job with the palace. They passed through lavishly decorated marble halls to get to the main court room. Inside the royal npc were sitting on their thrones entertained by the players. Grim eyed them but immediately spotted the food table far off near a balcony. He pulled Tsu over to the table.

"You know not to mention food around me...and what did you do? Mentioned food." He just smiles. He's temporarily forgotten about the Chinese food-him and his short term memory. While they're in the castle, he of course has to look at things and poke at them...like anyone would. "This place is....lavish." To say the least. "Yay! Food!" He's somehow doing chibi eyes at the food.
