This was initially a shop, but I decided to turn it into a freebie thread b/c I miss having a home thread to hang out in and I'd like one again. Makes it easier to have a place to post. So come on in and hang out and maybe get some free art along the way!

• I don't guarantee I'll draw everyone, the way I do freebies is very much a mood-thing; when the desire strikes. But I CAN promise if you are here a lot and hang out and I get to know you as a friend you'll be more likely to receive art than if you just post once and vamoose.

My bf is actually French >w< I love his accent, it doesn't matter what he says - could be reciting a grocery list or reading the back of a cereal box - and it all just sounds like 'I want to make sweet, sweet love to you' |3 fufufu
I also love English, Irish, Russian, Italian, South African, Australian... ok i'm done xD sorry

I dont think i could ever date someone who didnt have an accent... i know it sounds shallow but..ahhh.. it's such a major turn on for me

What's amusing is I actually have an accent of my own - I grew up a stone's throw from Kentucky so I have a country drawl that gets real pronounced once in awhile and I -haaaaate- it...but my bf loves it. xD Just adores it. And he hates his own accent. Kinda amusing, that.

I probably have horrible accent. I haven't had much chance to speak in English. >o<

I love traditional arts, so I am glad to see some pen sketches, ehhehe. Though, your chibis are cute and so fit for signature using, too. x3

I don't have an accent.. though if I hang around someone long enough I tend to adopt theirs with out realizing it xD My ex BF was from North Carolina but his southern accent was thick and I started using the accent... I do it with like.. Harry Potter Movies or any other movie/show that has a thick accent.. :x its weird but fun..

I was talking to this girl from mississippi for about an hour and i started picking up her accent without knowing xDD It's just a strange phenomenon.

and Rainy.. if you havent had a chance to speak english much, then screw it and whatever language you normally speak. >O I wont understand but guaranteed I'd probably just drool.

I have a friend who is from Japan and lives there. XD She once showed me a poem she wrote in Japanese and that was the main reason why I realized that Japanese is reallly beautiful language - I had not come in any contacts with it before.

Lawl. XD Yeah, I like Latvian. English seems so... restricting sometimes. Normal dictioanry provides so very little words, mostly the same words for many things. We have so many synonyms. It's hard for me to write story in English because if I want it to be well written in Latvian, I have to use many little-known English words that I dig up in thesaurus and online dictionaries.

I wrote a Haiku once.. its somewhere on gaia in the charity I mimicked

My ex got to visit Okinawa and went to the mainland a few times, the lucky bastard lol (his brother's a Marine and married a woman from Okinawa and her dad owns a hotel so the family gets free trips over there a lot.) BUT that's okay, I plan on going to Tokyo for my honeymoon -3- he can't show me up!

I know a lil Japanese too, I can write hiragana, and some katakana...not too good at kanji, but I only took one semester. I can speak a few sentences tho!


Rain - They say English is the hardest language to learn...I can understand that, we have so many words that are spelled the same but mean different things. Although personally French is really hard to me ... wth is with everything having it's own sex I don't -get- it x_x

Lol, in Latvian, everything has a sex, too. x3 Plus, we have freaky pronouncing compared to English, pluuus we have nearly-impossible-to-fully learn grammar.
I like the older English, it's more pretty. But no one really uses it anymore. >: Otherwise, it really seems a little plain sometimes, like when I am translating my poems. >o>
