a hair mis-hap?
One time, I wanted hot pink streaks in my hair.
I wanted to do it myself b/c i was tired of paying $50-80 to get it done at a salon.
I bought all of the stuff to do it myself.
Then, my mom convinced me that she could do it. or at least the back. which turned out to be my whole damn head, including my scalp.
My whole head of hair was bright fuchsia. Just in time for the new student orientation at the school i was transferring too.
Needless to say, i learned my lesson. b/c i just can't pull off fuchsia. on my scalp.
Any hair disasters or disasters turned regular looks?

My mom bet me $50 to cut all of my hair off so it can be a pixie cut, I did it and got the $50. While the hair started to grow I started to style it all weird shit like spikes, fohawks, fluff, etc. Then on my 11th grade pic I did a fohawk but my mom hated it so she messed it up at the last minute so it looked all fucked up, and then in the end every time I looked at the pic it looks like I'm a lesbian oTL

My hair does all sorts of stupid things, haha...Unless I go to sleep with it completely dry, it'll up end weird in the morning. Once had a random three-inch spike of hair sticking straight out. That was interesting. Unintentional blow-dry fohawks are annoying, though.

Worst student ID pic was fifth grade, when my mom decided it'd be cute to give me thin braids >.>

@Echo: OMG, you shaved all your hair off? i wish i was so brave...did it look good short? cuz i got like the crazy-chubby chipmunk cheeks, i don't think i would look good w/ short, short hair. I wish i did, cuz like you said, you can do sooooo much w/ it! what is it with moms and hair? lol, at least you got 50 bucks, i got cotton candy pink for 3 months while waiting for it to fade away. XD
@espy: lol braids,elementary pics are THE WORST. my parents thought that it would be so cute for me to have a bowl cut, like ear length, for my 2nd grade pics. but seriously my hair does crazy shit in the morning. i've got like almost to my shoulder hair, and it will be sticking up all over the place on one side and flat on the other, it's beautiful X3

whatever you can pull off works. but i do hate it when your hair needs a trim and nothing looks good. that's when i can tell i need a cut.

Basically going over a sketch with traditionally a red pen. (I usually use a blue pen when I redline; long story.)

Well I guess you could call my hair currently a mis-hap. The top layers are black (with minor roots showing), and the bottom layers are bleached (although not exactly completely), and died highlighter green (which has faded to highlighter yellow in places)...although I must say, it's kind of fun and amusing so yeah. I don't care what people say, I kind of like it.

that actually sounds kind of cool...sometimes the stuff you don't purposely do end up looking really cool. once i got used to my pink hair, i liked it, and actually got a few compliments. kinda makes you feel more outgoing too, at least for me, i'm kind of a shy person in real-life. do you plan on keeping your hair those colors? cuz they sound really awesome :3

No, not shave it, just pixie cut. it was alright but I look more chubby since I didn't have the volume in my hair, my hair looked like current Justin Bieber's hair. I dyed my hair platinum blonde (which turned Strawberry Blonde because of my Natural hair) with red tips, then blonde with red streaks, then blonde hair with fuchsia streaks, I had almond hair with highlights, went to natural, and now I have burgundy red hair with the straight bangs.

I had lots of styles

My hair's a bit annoying even now....it constantly curls in at the ends, and my skin's really sensitive...

Anyone know how to straighten it without using an iron or special shampoo and stuff? (my hair, mind you, is already really damn straight, it's just the way it's cut that makes it do that stupid curling thing, I think.)

I have wavy hair so it's difficult to straighten it out but it's so easy to curl and to keep it that way. I've always loved the Shirley Temple curls and for some reason I look good in them, I just don't have the time to do them.

Does it curl in or out?

@echo: all those colors sound really pretty! especially your current! sorry about assuming you shaved it :\ my bad. the platinum with red tips sounds awesome! it would be cool if you kept like a scrap book of your hairstyles, then you could show people and be like, i rocked it! <-i'm a dork, i know :)

@espy: idk but i've asked my hair dresser about why my hair flips out on one side and under on the other (my hair is super straight too) and she said that everybody has cowlicks, and girls especially have it around the neck area (if that makes any sense) and that it can cause hair to not lay right or flip out/ be curly on the ends. ? idk. but as far as getting it straight w/out curling/flat irons, i can't think of any. sometimes putting hair in a ponytail works, but then you get that crimp from the hair tie.

Curls in x__X; And also a bit forward. It pisses me off so much! And I'm taking a shower in a bit, which is why I'm asking now.

Meh, so I trimmed and layered my bangs and sidebangs; looks decently straight-ish, but I'll have to layer the back later, too...

Tomorrow morning might be a different story altogether.

I do plan on keeping it like this, although the random color will change (next it's hot pink instead of green)...and I would post pics, but it's looking kind of shabby so I want to see if my hair-stylist can fix it to where it doesn't look like a college kid got bored and bleached part of her hair...

Hey I was the one who colored it! But I understand, it is about time for me to either recolor it red or color correct it to brown.

@ Kalie_Namir: Very cool, i like hot pink :) i've had it put in my hair a few times, but the color the hairstylist uses always washes out soooo quick. like within a week days, it's half gone. but my mis-hap we used manic panic and that stuff stayed forever! I've bleached my hair, and it just looked kind of brassy. :\ idk, i've got weird hair :3

Tiva, I said nothing really bad, it's more the bleaching that my stylist needs to fix, I'm hoping the ends can be bleached and the whole thing a little more evened out...

Yeah I know.
I may do it red but I don't plan on cutting it until I get married. So at one point it will have to get color corrected unless I want to deal with dying it for several years.

Espy sweetie next year we are finding you and cutting your hair and doing everything that you want to do to it.

I second Tiva's offer. We will gladly help you with your hair...Doing something random to it is sometimes the best thing you can do make you feel more confident, it worked for me!

Argh.... my bangs got really blunted this hair cut..... I hate having extremely blunt bangs. Guess I need to let them grow out.

Yeah....I've had something kinda similar. Although it was more they left the top longer than I told them so it looked like a high and tight to a greater extent....

My bangs a re kind of weird they look lie fangs because I cut them myself with craft scissors
