Tattoos
 

Alright, the purpose of this thread is pretty simple, to talk about tattoos. I know some people have issues with em (religious, personal, or otherwise) and others are perfectly fine with them (either on themselves, or with others having them).

So, opinions on the matter?

To get it started, I will state that I am okay with tattoos. Hell, I have one that I am planning out right now. Only reason I didn't get one sooner was because of the fact that one of my parents has issues with and has said he would disown me if I ever got one (that situation doesn't bother me now). If anyone is curious, it is being designed as a dragon whose tail wraps around my upper arm right at the edge of what a short sleeve tshirt would cover (left arm to be specific) with the body higher up and wings flared slightly, and the head ending up on the edge of my chest with a tendril or two of smoke coming out. Likely doing coloration with main being black and the negative space (kinda the scales) being purple along with the wisp(s) of smoke).

... I dont have one but i can get one whenever i want just that idk what to get... i was thinking of getting the polish eagle on my arm but im not really sure about it now...

I've got two...Both of which are Harry Potter book references, and I plan on getting about 3 or so more...One of which will be music notes on my other foot. The other two will have something to do with Harry Potter as well, one will be the first line of the entering warning to Gringotts "Enter stranger but take heed", not sure where though, and the next will be a dark mark, but tweaked to have a music note instead of a skull somehow, it will be on my left forearm...

Other than that, I do kind of want to get a tea cup with "We're all mad down here" written in the steam, but I'm not too sure about it yet...

Yeah, and I adore Alice In Wonderland and it just seemed perfect...

And what is wrong with my number of tattoos Hun?

i didn't say anything about it but that is a lot... i only want 1 i think... idk...

It's actually not that many, only two of them would be anything larger than what I've already got...

I knows... I still don't know what i want...

Meh, it's one of those things that my parents told me I would never get simply because of the pain factor, and I challenge accepted that and they paid...

lol... if i got one i would have to pay for it... rules of my parents... they said i could get one as long as i paid for it and it could be covered up...

I kinda want to get a hellokitty face tattoo on my shoulderblade.. but idk >> its kinda stupid.. but i love hk.. i really have to think about it though...

I got one, and Hyjin if you want a tattoo give me ideas and I can try to draw. I am stuck on Alpha's atm.

yeah thats the problem... idk what to get... i was thinking tribal around my biceps but idk now... i was also thinking of getting the polish eagle but idk about that either...

I think you should think about it more...Like google other people's tattoos for ideas...that's almost the way I got the idea for my tea cup...

OH and Tiva, if you want to, you could try working on either of my big ones if you need a new idea to help you get unstuck on Alpha's...

If I could get a tattoo it would be a simple font at the back of my neck that says "Made in China". I've wanted that since I was 16

I love Tattoos.

I have three myself, my third, I just got two weeks ago.
I have a Bat on my right shoulder, a bow and arrow, [in the name of being a proud Sagittarius] on my left wrist, and I JUST got my Triple Moon on the back of my neck. I'm planning on getting a lot more, but... I don't know where, and if Hermes would be alright with it. He didn't sound too thrilled when I got my neck one. xD;

im ok with a small one. If its large then in your old age it starts to sag... buti would never get a name, you could end up hating them. So maby a butterfly:small,on the back of my neck.

I think tattoos are so cool but I'm scared to even think about getting one I'm such a wimp....

I would love to get one, but i need to get some money first lol. but my main concern is finding something that i want on my body for the rest of my life. It would have to be something that means something or symbolizes something in my life. recently i've been giving some thought to a simple black dove (i know it's already been done...) on the front side of my hip or a small one on my ankle. i can't have it anywhere i can't hide it b/c of the profession i want to go into. i think i'm attracted to the simplicity, and it would symbolize the peace i need in my life, to just go with the flow and to not let people anger me so much.

yeah if i was to get a tattoo it would have to be easily covered up by clothing... nothing exposed...

One of mine isn't going to be too easy to cover up, but oh well...I can't not get my dark mark...

Very nice. Well, you do like Harry Potter so it fits.

As for me I have two tattoos that are being planned out at the moment. One by my lovely girlfriend Tiva and the other by me in my spare time.

That's way cool. I've designed one kinda for my boyfriend.

Very nice. Always good when someone close to you can help with it.

Tiva is stuck on mine at the moment, and I actually need to sketch my idea out for my other one.

My design is going to be a celtic knot circle with a yin yang in the center because he and i balance each other out so well and we're both of scottish descent. and both love that culture

Nice. I love the culture as well, but I actually have Irish heritage so similarities there.

My idea is a band around my ankle (not sure whether to have it simple or a specific design) with initials of people I hold dear. Also considering doing it as simple script running together. I have at least three right now (people that is).

that's way cool. i'm personally too scared to do them, but in high school i always would trace my hand on paper and do fun designs on it, one of my favorite was doing favorite song titles along the ridges of my hands. it looked really cool

Nice. I've had this idea for a while, but not been considering until recently because my dad hates tattoos and would have disowned me for getting one. Don't have to worry now though.

What do you mean? And my family would kill me if i got one.... they are super super super strict.....

Long story short, I got tired of putting up with being treated like a child and beaten by him when he gets extremely pissed or we are rough housing. I moved out and am being helped through college by my mom. When I last saw my dad to get the last of my stuff from him, he refused to talk to me except to tell me what was mine and asking if I wanted any of a few items.

Oh wow.... I need to move back out again.... I had been out at college...... but then i am taking a break and had to move back home.... which sucks....

Yeah. There is more to it than that, but that is about all I feel comfortable explaining here on Tris. The rest is really personal. Only Tiva and my mom know the full story as to what happened and why I left.

And yeah, that would suck. I have been with my mom while going to community college for fall semester, but am going to my intended school starting here in a few days for the spring semester.

That's way cool. I'm hoping to get into the culinary program at our community college, and then possibly going on to a college and do interior design i think.... or maybe music....

Well, just make sure that you love what you do. That way you will never work a day in your life! Or that's how the saying goes at least.

My big thing is going into Criminal Justice and then commissioning as an officer in the Army.

That's way cool. My big thing is cooking, i love to cook. But.... most places don't offer a bachelors degree in that.... and my parents say that i have to get a bachelors or else i'll basically be a failure for the rest of my life....
