Skylanders: Spyro's Adventures
 

I am a big fan of Skylanders and I was wondering who else played it.

What paths did you take? Which paths do you think make the best Skylanders team?

Well, I've heard of the game but I haven't bought it yet.
I'm waiting until the pack gets lower in price for the 3DS.
I do like the looks of the game, and I plan to get a pack with the ninja/assassin girl in it.

The 3ds game is more of a platformer than anything
if you have a wii or a xbox 360 get that one c: xbox would be best because the portal it comes with doesnt need batteries but if you get the wii one you have to get LOADS of batteries.
and i would get the 3ds one later so you have the 3ds exclusive figures. and the game as well

its a really really fun game
also make sure when you get to the arkeyan armory to say yes to everything because if you say no and try to level up or something you cant continue the game. its one of the only bugs in the entire game. and it really sucks because thats the last few levels of them game D:

also i like the idea behind the game like pretty much every single spyro game you have EVER played EVER has been a skylander adventure. and you were the portal master. its kinda hard to explain unless you know what im talking about. but even though it says "spyros adventure" in the name the game really isnt about spyro or a spyro game at all. hes just one of the characters c:
i just thought it was so cool that they had that in mind to say that about all the games because it ties everything together in a way. like you never really understood why you did all that stuff, besides what they tell you but now that you know that spyro is a skylander and his job is to help everyone he can. it really makes a lot of sense

and the back stories to all the characters are AMAZING i love them all XD they are very interesting to read c:

I've been debating about this game cause it does look interesting the whole spyro thing is that part that gets me to where I kinda dislike it.

When i saw it i went pretty much wtf... and i found it stupid and very pricy bc you need to buy the figures to use them... which is very stupid... what do you do i you lose one or it gets destroyed? pretty much your sol and need to buy a new one...

Its a really fun game though. You dont have to buy all the figures though. just the ones you like though we have all the figures that are out atm we are waiting for the rest to be released! i am so excited c:
you can get a case that will hold them all so you dont loose them.

Yeah that's my point though your spending more money for small figurines just to play the game... i rather play COD and buy the maps that i actually find good...

Well I look at it this way skylander is just a collectible game just like heroclix or magic or even yugioh. So either way your spending money to collect something.

yeah but you can make the money back with magic and yugioh...

people will buy your skylanders from you if you dont want them. e.e
you just have to find the right people C:

there are a lot of fun things you can do with the figures i mean even if you hate the game the figures are awesome looking and done very well c:

The idea behind the game is interesting, but personally I think having to buy and keep track of the different figures is a bit ridiculous.

not really. i mean i guess it could be ridiculous to someone who isnt organized and stuff but its pretty easy. the figures are perfect sized they arent too big, not too small. some even glow in the dark. and they arent even that expensive e.e

really i made this thread to discuss the game not to ridicule the figures. i wanted to talk about levels not prices, or where all the blue butterflies where if someone was having troubles finding them or whatever. not having you and hyjin team up on me and tell me how stupid the price of the figures are? i get it. its not your cup of tea. so post once then get over it. just saying they arent expensive and yes there are many but its like a card game. but at least you know what you are buying when you buy it.

I wasn't stating anything about the price or anything. Wasn't trying to gang up on you either.

As I stated, the game seems interesting and it is a different concept for a game.

well it just seems that way to me. I mean, i find other games pointless like skyrim but i dont go to that thread and talk about how pointless i think it is or anything.

Thanks for the tips! I can't really get the one for xbox because I don't own the xbox. As for the Wii, well I don't know.
I guess I just have to keep researching and save up some money.

It is a cool concept but the fact that you have to buy the of the different features seems odd. Kind of like buying pokemon but to get a pokemon you have to go buy a code. I understand that you get a couple of different features... but for a completion-ist I bet it would be a nightmare. One of my friends has it and she has lost one of her figures to the great dane.

okay i get it about the figures stop saying that. its annoying now.
look i want to discuss the game not buying the figures. yes its apart of the game and its okay to discuss it once. but not five million times.
can someone at least try to talk about the game? e.e

you guys just cant post here because you want to post. you have to know about the game. obviously you have no clue because you keep saying the same stuff over and over. instead of talking about price we could talk about the different figures and their back stories or their abilities and which paths people take. which character is your favorite or which do you not like at all. which element is your favorite. what level do you like. how many hero challenges you have done, or which ones you are stuck on. Locations of items you need. or just anything relevant

if you dont know anything about the game please dont post unless you want to know more about it. stop complaining about the prices. its not relevant.

I know about it, i have played it on the Wii. The figure I played got eaten by my friends Great Dane. I liked the game, but I am annoyed that I lost my game because of the deal with the dog.

well place the figures up higher next time. get the case or something.

i personally love whirlwind. maybe because i love unicorns, maybe because i love dragons, maybe because i love rainbows XD or all combined! its everything i love in one character C: plus SHE looks awesome and is one of the *few* female characters in the game c: Her backstory is really sad though ;-; i feel bad for her... shunned by dragons for her beauty, hated by unicorns for her appearance and ability to fly ): no real home. but she found solace in the storm clouds and she learned to harness the tempest powers.
her two paths are tempest dragon and ultimate rainbower
i picked the rainbow path because her ultimate attack is AMAZING! though if you want strategy you should go the tempest path ^^

also she is one of hte few (if the only one) that can heal other characters with her soul gem ability ^^ even though she is an air skylander and not a life skylander c:
