Valentines Day
 

Valentines Day is two days away so did your get a little something special for that certain person yet?

I kind of....forgot to. /shot

But seriously, just seeing "Valentine's Day" reminds me of the Linkin Park song with the same name.

V-day makes me feel sad *curls up*

Um not really....My older brother birthday is that day though.

Me too kinda. I've never had a significant other so it's sort of another day for me. A friend of mine got me a bouquet of pink roses though, a few years back. He was a nice guy and a good friend, but not someone I could see myself being intimate with (the phrase so many guys dread, I imagine. True sentiment though). Lovely gesture though. :). We tried to go out for dinner but all the places in town were plugged up (no surprise there) so we made dinner at my house.

Alpha and I don't really celebrate Valentines day. I am getting chocolate for other reasons than the holiday.

I really don't see the point of valentines day. If you're not showing enough love to your partner, and need a lame holiday to make you get off your ass and be loving.. well you aren't doing to well.

single people moan, couples get all haughty and superior, and lots of companies make lots of money. What's good about that?

I partly agree with Ducky. However, on the other hand, I use Valentine's Day as an excuse to tell all the people I love that I love them, without having to worry that they'll all look at me like I have two heads.

Am I happy about the commercialism surrounding Valentine's? Of course not but I'm happy for reminders for people to tell others they love them, even if they aren't romantic about it.

This will actually be my first V-day with a special someone. Although, our plans are pretty much our normal plans, nothing much special about it, and we're both too broke-ish to do the whole commercial aspect of it.

My original plans were actually to get together with a friend (who also finally has someone) and drink in memory of all the 'Singles Awareness Days' we've had in the past.

No. I'm single and I prefer it that way.

Especially since one V-day I got with someone and they cheated on me about a month later. Love is apparently cheap.

I think I'll buy some over-the counter chocolates and share it with my friends. :D

I don't do anything for Valentine's Day. I kept forgetting it is Valentine's Day all day it is that irrelevant to me. Although, my mom did give me a small bag of candy this morning. :3

It's not Valentine's.

It's single awareness. So what I got today? My mother yelling at me.

My fiance and I went to take his friend to the National Guard place this morning. It was a sad thing to see him off for 7 months, but it's his life and his choice. But still sad :c

Then while we were waiting for a special "place" ;) to open, we looked around Target for a little while and checked out their digital slr Canon cameras. If I want a really good one I'm gonna have to fork out about $700. Then we went to Ross and looked around there. Funky dresses right now lol. Afterwards, we went to the special "place" ;) and got a couple of nice things to use. We went to Walmart after that to get his watch re-sized. On our way home we stopped at Panda Express and got some lunch :) It was an overall good day, but the day isn't over yet!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone :) I'm sorry to those who are single or think of it as just another day, but remember you have friends and family who care about and love you :)
