Tera (Open beta date)
So for those who have not heard Tera Online is finally in the beta stages for the western side of the world ~finally!~ At the present time the game is in the closed beta stages, though if you buy or preorder the game you get into all of the betas. The open beta will be in a month or so and then anyone who signed up to try and get picked for the beta will be allowed to play, at the time the characters will not be cleared <3 After that beta the headstart for those who pre-ordered the game begins so over all they just get to keep playing instead of a week wait time for the game to be released. no there is not a bunch of ads on this game, and even without the million of ads plastered everywhere this game has a good and strong following. Most who were able to test the first beta are now complaining that they can't play the game :) (kano is among these people with withdrawal hehe, i would be but I've waited over 5 years for the game to get to this stage.. i can wait a bit longer.) Anyway! Who has gotten a chance to play this breath of fresh air in the mmo market? :D Or anyone planning to try and play even? The combat style can be described similar to DragonNest for anyone who played it or Vindictus, or as Kano likes to say it's God of War turned into a mmo without button combos. XD No macros or face rolling in this game, unless your goal is to die on the first mob you attack ^^; Open beta will be after the last and final 5th closed beta. Thursday 4/19/12 - Sunday 4/22/12 there are the dates :) Anyone looking to be part of a guild or would like to be in a casual guild with planned progression feel free to poke this site. I know i will cause it seems like Monster Hunter to me a game the made me question my skills as a gamer >w< it was fun cause you had to learn boss patters and still attack not stand around and mash a rotation for damage

Plus people have to watch where they are.. we had a issue in the lv 20 instance of the slayer getting in the lancers way :< not being able to walk through people kinda bites at times heh ^^; but yet adds to the challenge |

I just can't wait to get a new vid card, i was scared that my computer wouldn't play the game because i have a 8 year old card ~pets my poor baby~ she can only run direct x 6 and this game calls for a min of direct x 9? xD
Though i lucked out on lowest settings i get zero lag from this game so thats a good sign there that the engine and coding is well done :) Though on the good news soon after the taxes come back in i can get my new card and some more ram ^^ |
I want to play it SO BAD.
Right now all I can do is watch OMFGcata (@youtube) play it and cry tears of sadness. I'm so sad that its a sub based game! I really don't have the money for it, but but...I'd have to get into the beta and try it before I commit to something like that. If I do get in the beta at some point and like it at all I'll definitely buy the collectors box and sub. ; u; You have no idea how long I've been waiting for a game like this. |
Well I can add you to the list of people to tell when the open beta is live :3 the characters from there won't be cleared so if you decide (or can afford) at a later date to get the game your character/account will be there ^^

I've been playing it since the second CB test, and it's actually pretty nice. I like the combat system ( unless there's lag, then you're screwed. Dx ) but since I'm just a bit antisocial in mmos, I've been practically soloing it... which isn't a good idea, since instances are mandatory. OTL
Sohey, if anyone on here has a group or guild or anything on a PvE server when open beta starts, tell me. @A@ lol |

@__@ I can't stand PvP servers. I was on Jagged Coast for one day, because it seems it's where my friends were, but the overcrowded channels giving me lag because of my single core processor ( can't upgrade it since the motherboard is old OTL ) and the horrrrible community that's on there, I decided it'd be better if I just solo'd without the thought that I might get repeatedly ganked, lol.
Since I have an issue with mass amounts of assholes, everyone normally says "then don't play on this server", so I don't. Dx I've got a lv30 sorc on Serpents Isle ( PvE ) but since I can't find groups, I'm not getting very far anymore. |

I don't know, but I always have that stressful fear feeling whenever I'm on a PvP server. xD;
A friend of mine had been killed three times, and I don't react fast enough if I'm not prepared beforehand. OTL I figured I just shouldn't bother with PvP servers if I'm not going to PvP, lol. |
If people could in fact just run up to a player and attack them, I didn't notice...maybe because my friend and I were always playing together.

I don't know the PvP system very well. I think you have to turn on the skill and then you can go for people, but I'm skittish and didn't want to take the chance, rofl @__@;

the pvp system i havent tested much either ~sucks at it~
i knwo there will be pvp servers, pve servers and rp and pvprp servers |

I think I paid $60-65 in total for the CE digital. But that was only because they make you pay for a month's subscription, after the free month.
Not even the CE hard copy should be over a hundred bucks. o__o; That's like... around $80, I believe. Just be sure not to click on it twice or more; it doesn't reset the cart automatically. One guy bought 13 copies, I think, by accident. xD; ( How I would love to be rich enough to do that and not be in major debt. OTL ) Rose: Just one thing; I don't speak on vent. >A> I like to stay an enigma. Rofl Just for future reference, because I've been in several groups where it was either highly recommended or required to be on vent. Dx And I'd had trouble with people before because of it. |
Oh thats fine we dont ask that everyone talks ^^ more then free to listen and type with our goofings hehe
if you group with us at any point we just ask that you can listen in most cases :P we have enough chatter boxes to make up for a few not talking ~myself included.. |
Lol, if I hadn't had several crappy experiences with it, I would be good to go with the talking ( once I start, I don't stop. OTL ) but I find it really troublesome now. +would rather just not set up for any hassle later on+ Besides, my mic is built into my laptop screen, which doesn't work, so I have it set up like a desktop. Therefore it's too far away from me for the mic to pick up my voice. xD
+also uses two different computers at the same time+ If I talked, I'd have to switch keyboards to press that button, otherwise you'd hear the conversations of everyone else in this house, and I doubt they'd appreciate that, rofl. But yeah, I could listen if I redownload vent or something. +uses games on actual desktop and everything else on laptop+ |
well we use Mumble instead of Vent you dont have to adjust the voices or anything and is cheaper then Vent ^^;
but if you go to the guild site we have the information and how to set it up or someone (or myself) can walk you through it :) works just like vent pretty much just cheaper and seems to be better voice wise |

I'll go poke the app when i get the chance or tell one of our officers to do it :) so long as your not a jerk we don't really have rules .. maybe warnings if your in chat or our mumble that some of the jokes can be er out there ^^; |

I have the same problem, after playing Tera it is impossible for me to play any other game...thank goodness we are less than two weeks away from OB XD..

Manda is my event keeper, as much as I love Tera I don't keep up with it's updates or fashion stuff that we like to look at. I'm too lazy .-. I just spaz out when she shows me. I can't wait for name reservation. There are currently no other MMOs I wanna play atm and Diablo 3 is the only one interested. |
