St. Patricks Day
Top of the morning to ya lads and lassies we haven't made a thread for this here holiday yet so what are ye plans for it? Plan on acting like an Irishman and drinking til the bitter dawn? Or maybe a little party pinching the non believers on their tush? I just realized we hadn't made a thread yet for this lovely holiday of drinking and for the true believer Saint Patrick who 'drove all the snakes from Ireland'. I has a story, my brother in law was in Atlanta he went out drinking with a couple of his unit buddies on St Patties day and they good lost getting back to their car. They had to climb a fence and KC apparently caught the top of the wire and cut open his pants. When they got back to the car and turned on the lights, he saw that he was bleeding and that that cut had gone quite a bit deeper. He had cut open some of his private parts and while drunk his field medic friend had to stitch it closed. |
O.O That's a heck of a story.

I don't have any fun drunken stories to tell... My dad has bunches of army stories but I can't think of any that relate to booze or nothin'. -is disappointed-

I'm actually Irish by way of of my partner in crime. We'll get married eventually, then it'll be all legal and whatnot. I also plan on going to see the Chicago River get colored green on Saturday! <3 |
Nice, I am part irish, as in my dads family looks like a bunch of leprechauns. All 5'5" and under for the men and 5'2" for the women.

xD you can't see them but they tend to live in the rose and when I have hair they multiply. Plus they are magic lice.

I lived in Ireland for a year and got to spend one St. Patrick's Day there. We didn't go to Dublin (there were too many people there o.o), but we were in a relatively large village and got to go to the parade. It was fun, and I remember going into a pub. XD I was fifteen at the time, but I had already been in a few. This one was absolutely PACKED and a friend of my little sister's (who was only MAYBE thirteen) was sitting at the table, sharing an alcoholic beverage (don't remember exactly what it was) with her mother. No one said anything. XP |
