Thoughts on this ~
 

Upon recently finding out that dragon quest monsters will be remade and released on the 3ds I had to go find my old GBC games and start playing again. But that is not what this thread is asking.

My thoughts were to take a thread ~similar to the pokemon thread that was around in the hangouts~ where you can catch/raise the creatures from the game, breed battle whatever.
I know Dragon Quest Monster is more based on battling and growing stronger to be the best Monster master and all of that, though the idea of battles would have to be based off of base states or I would have to calculate some way of adding states to them as they leveled >.>; ~sure the information is out there somewhere~

Either way I was thinking of making this thread and I wanted feedback on it. Should I waste my time making it or should I just scrap the idea altogether.

~another idea for the thread was to have boss monsters appear at different times and depending on how many post with a certain format depends on if the boss monster wins or is defeated~

also what sprites would you rather see being used the new 3d ones from the ds games or the ole school ones from GBC?

Well i know at one time the pokemon thread where you catch and level pokemon was really popular

so i just did get the idea of trying this ^^; not sure how popular it will be but its worth the shot at it.

I'll probably work on making it later tonight or tomorrow. As far as others playing this game i doubt most have even heard of the series XD

i doubt it'll get lots but it'll be fun for the few that are there xD

it was back on the GBC anyway so the games old ^^ i dont count the new ones for the dS they are vastly different then the GBC ones

its ok they are remaking one of them for the 3ds :3 its due out this year ^^ in japan anyway so maybe late this year or next year for western world.

im sure they will there has been a lot of feedback for it to get translated for the states. people just hope that it stays true to the GBC style instead of the new 3d-ish style of the dragon quest joker series D:

i know they remade dragon quest 4 recently and i liked its updates they just redid the sprites but its the same story and feel just more animated ^^

yeah i started with the dragon quest games on the GB and then they released the monster ones i was done with pokemon red and blue so i was like eh sure why not xD

i fell in love with them <3

im not as crazy over the new dragon quest games though.. i like the old stories better

i have the ps2 one whatever it was .. i never beat it xD could not get into the story at all LOL

i was like that with a few other games i wish i knew about them back in the day xD

yeah a lot of them are.. i was trying to patch one of the monster ones that never made it over but the emulator didnt like it ^^;

normally the gb and gbc ones arent bad xD

normally... well now a days they are pretty much perfected as best as they can be

i think the only tales game i played was on the GC? xD i loved that one

i want to get the 2nd game in the series for the wii.. i just havent yet >><

aw D: well that sucks maybe i can find a friend who has it so i dont have to waste money on it xD

as far as controls go some wii games have control issues -3-; i know watching my hubby play skyward sword makes it seem like we should be in a mental health care center

i dunno if its the controls or if kano is a wii-ard :P

i think all wii games need the options for like nrmal controls.. cause the wii isnt very good xD for most things ive noticed

i remember that title yeah i heard about its controls as well D:

i think the only games i play on the wii are the harvest moon and i dont have to use the wii controls for XD

I have a big fondness for Dragon Quest so I'd probably enjoy a thread such as this, Rose ;)

As for other stuff being talked about here...umm, I just skimmed it ^^;;

its ok the other things being talked about is just bumping the thread up xD

and mk well if at least a few would enjoy it i guess i could go about working on making said thread xD

i doubt i will go about it like most of the pokemon threads where you have to pay for things or whatever xP

As for the games I happened to like Joker a lot, though I think I'd have to agree with you that it wasn't the same type of game that the GBC ones were.

With Pokémon I haven't lost interest...so much as lost time to play them the way I like to >.>;
