Hi I'm Scylla and if I don't regret one thing it's that I roleplay a LOT.
Recently all but one (and it happens to be on here) of my roleplays have just DIED thanks guys so I need some new partners.

My requirements:
-Decent grammer/spelling.
-No mary sues or godmodding/powerplaying.

Notes about me:
-English is my third language so I'm sorry but there WILL be awkward phrasing rarely. I try to stop it. It happens anyway.
-My writing style is MUCH better than this post would indicate. It's cleaner.
-I like romance on the side but not as the sole focus. I'm fine with boyslove/girlslove/any sexuality romance, but once again it's just on the side.
-I like group roleplay and one-on-one. A lot of group ones aren't planned, they just end up that way with people joining.
-I can roleplay in German and Gaelic if anyone speaks those languages better than English.
-I'm very flexible
-I'm a bit busy so some days I might have to reply only once. I can't be replying every hour, sorry :(

-Fantasy (I have several possible scenarios for the fantasy one)
LOVE IT. I'm open to other suggestions, yeah. But these ones get me the most.

Well, like you, I am also busy quite a bit and can't always manage lots of posts per day, so I think that would work out well.
However, as this thread really hasn't seen much activity, I'm wondering if you're still around and looking.

If so, fantasy would work wonderfully for me for a role-play genre as I have tons of characters that could fit into almost any scenario.
Having said that, I'm not very good at coming up with scenarios, but would love to hear (er...read...) some of yours.

hok faster than I thought here we go:

Sci Fi
Android escapes from a facility that he was created and working in. After he discovered something truly horrific going on there (biological experiments, unethical weapons experiments, you can choose this or I will if you want) he went to escape and blow up the facility as the unethical activites there go against his internal coding to serve the race that created him. The way your character comes in is up to you, but they somehow help him escape from the facility and blow it up with him. They can be a human who worked there and disagreed with what was going on and so left; they can be a human from outside who went to shut down the facility, they can be an extraterrestrial race working against the humans/human plans to screw things up for the galaxy.
LIKEWISE, this same scenario can be reversed: I’ll be the outside influence who helps YOUR character blow the facility away.

Computer stuff like in tron – you’ve gotten sucked into a highly interactive video game that is way more than it appears. Now to get out you have to fight your way through loads of stuff to the Core, ably assisted by my character ( a computer program) but there is much more than meets the eye…
This one has a LOT behind it, so ask if ye be interested.
FANTASY:
To do with demons: my character, a demon, has found a way to bind souls more easily and in a way that makes his offer way more appealing to humans. In exchange for a hundred years of service to HIM (instead of the other way around) a human with a damned soul gets a chance at salvation. However, if the human somehow blunders during their penance serving the demon – commits a grievous sin – then the human’s soul belongs to the demon to do with as he pleases. This one does get heavily into structured religion (not like preaching or anything, but it has a religion set up in the world) so if that makes you uncomfortable, like… speak up. This one has strong possibilities for romance and/or relationship building, which is fine. The demon character is genderfluid and can be a boy or girl depending on what you want. In this one, a human character is required.

Fairies and rubbish: this one, a character of mine who is part-Fae is the last of his kind, but possess parts of an item that can rebuild his race. He enlists several other creatures to help him along the way, your character being one of them. Your character can be whatever race you wish and we can include romance if you like. This one also has strong potential for group roleplays, or the playing of multiple characters by me/you.

Dystopian steampunk: exactly what it sounds like. Through a combination of time travel, science experiments, and universe-hopping the main character (can be you or me) finds him/herself in a dystopian era that has cities and devices run solely on steam. Corsets are considered proper adventuring attire and strange mechanical beasts fly the sky. As the main character progresses his/her journey in an attempt to fix the time slump, he/she meets a strange scientist (you or me) who is working on an all new energy source called electricity…. Once again, possibilities for romance and group roleplay but only if you want. Roles are flexible and genderfluid, and the level of dystopian society/mechanical power can be agreed upon betweent the two of us, like.

I must say, I really do like the "Fairies and rubbish" one.
Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

where are you interested in taking it? what kind of character would you want in it?

I am game for the fantasy or Distopian future plots. I think though for the distopian one, electricity would be a rare and valuable source of energy and steam still the more popular route to go. If you don;t mind doing a boys love one for that I am game.

Dystopian steampunk is way cool and I have no problem with boyslove. and the idea of electricity as a rare and fairly unpopular energy source. that's a cool idea. would you like to the be the weird scientist or the main character? obsvly both are boys if it's boyslove

XD the scientist, if you don't mind. I like playing scientist. Also what period of time would your person come from?

though preferably he'd land up in 1890 or late 1880s, I'm thinking he's from approximately 2110, but since he messed the timeline up, he's now changed the future too - everything goes on steam power now. So he's from a futuristic society that doesn't have to deal with broken machines or anything. And how old will your scientist be?

Wait I am confused, I thought it was about a person that came from the past into the future. XD at least that is how I read it. I guess it makes sense to go back into time. -ish silly-

My person would be early to mid twenties I haven't decided.

Then my character should be a little younger, late teens early twenties, like.
the main point is that the character thinks it's a different world/parallel world with similar continents and such, and doesn't realize it's his own world that he's fluffed up. it's up to you whether scientist realizes his mistake or not.
you can go ahead and work out your character and I'll work out mine, then we can hash out the other problems such as mapping and location.

So after doing a bit of wiki searching about the turn of the century I think I can pull it off. Where would you like the setting to be? And is it alright if they are the same age? I'd like it better if both of them were at least over 20. And I can't decide between Morgan and Cameron for a name. It would depend where the setting is, if its Europe, then I would make him something else.

Same age is fine with me. I was thinking that we not go the traditional steampunk rout. by having it in england. i was considering either germany or america, whichever you find more suitable, though if you have another suggestion I'm open to it. Germany is in europe though. /captain obvious

my character would either be named Mira Schiller or Nikita Schiller, and his age is flexible at this point though I know for sure he's blond and medium height and build.

I would prefer America orr Russia or France, they are all favorite places of mine, or India. I only say America because I was reading about the Glided Age which is right around the time period we want. It is when skycrapers came into play and the electric bulb was discovered.

Lol, no blonds for me, mine would be native american skin tone, a little lighter, brunette, curls. Green eyes.

Wow my characters are usually exclusively dark-skinned : D
this guy's going off the track like.
his hair is wheat-colored, but i think he's medium in skin color. eye color is uncertain as of now.

Russia is lovely though i'd have to do a bit of research unless you'd like to stage it in america. if it's in russia, my character can be from Germany since i'm familiar with that language. so he'll just say stuf like "mein gott" and whatever, like. Russia it is?

XD Then I say stick with America, I would just make crap up if it were Russia honestly. I know a little about Saint Petersberg and nothing about Moscow. ... Then again America is kinda boring. Since it is going to Alter the time like we could fudge it possibly?

Haha mine usually vary depends on what I am in the mood for and I have been in the mood for various color skins. I am thinking Something Egyptian that tone.

Making up crap is fine too. that's actually my usual M.O. unless my partner seems like a research stickler, which i thought you were at first. whatever pleases you is fine - Russia or America. I know the same amount of infomation about either. and that's a good point. because we're altering the timeline we can fudge it up. i like doing that actually.

I like to know the basics for certain things, like I know nothing about steam power or the time period so that is what I looked up. I also looked up things about light bulbs so when the time comes he can talk terms xD. That is the extent of it really.

Since it's Russia a random street corner could be good. or a bar. or maybe at an expo where the scientist is showcasing his electricity? that would give my charac more reason to go over to him, he'll be "oh finally something I've seen before!"

That works for me. xD I suppose though my character will be speaking Russian does yours know Russian?

yes, but the native languega of mine is german. we don't actually have to write in russian because i know nothing about the language itself

XD, I was going to cheat and do that < this is speaking in Russian> sort of thing, but I suppose my guy being of education, would know more then one European language.

We can just assume it is german when they are using English, as long as we don't forget it should be fine. My new question is, what should they do after they discover the light bulb since steam power is already such a big player in the society.

what tmy character is trying to do is fix the time slump he thinks he's caused - he doesn't realize it's schrodinger's line of reasoning, and he created an alternate pathway (universe). it's up to you whether the scientist knows this or not. but my character has to somehow enlist yours to help him in fixing the timeline

I think I would prefer it if he didn't know it XD it would create less of a time pardox, he would paranoid anything he does will muck up the time line instead of acting naturally.

That's what I was thinking but far be it from me to tell you how to develop your characters
also I'm in the final throws of exams so please bear with me for a week or two while i get my character together and my tests finished, sorry.

It is alright, take your time though I have to be honest XD I will probably crave a different plot when we decently get to talk again.

I don't mind :3 versatility is my strong point

dear lord i've been gone too long. i'm ready to start back up on a roleplay with anyone, one we've already planned or a completely brand new one.
sorry this took so long, quite a few things in my life got a little complicated.

I love both fantasy and sci-fi. Right now I don't have any original plots in mind. Although I would like to create an RP based on Final Fantasy 8 or 9 if you'd like to do that. =)

Either way I'm interested in any plots or characters you want to use. ^_^

ps I'm not inclined to be romance focused.
