I know the series has ended, but it played tonight on the syfy channel. And all of it's on netflix.

So, who else here is a fan of O' Neil and the gang? And who wants to geek out about it? :D <3

I've watched every single episode and all the movies. Only thing I haven't seen was the cartoon series they tried to spin off, but it didn't do so well so looks like I didn't miss out on much.

Personally, once O'Neil was promoted and even when he was frozen it went kinda downhill since it started getting a bit mundane with the villains and save the world stuff. Still not a bad series, but it had its time and did well.

I wasn't a huge fan but I liked it. I watched it off and on, so there's a lot of it I'm not familiar with. Teal'c is easily my favorite character.

I'll be honest. These days I'm more into fanfic than watching the show.

More than I care to think about. But then you find the absolute gems, that you find yourself reading and rereading.

I avoid them like the plague. It's pretty easy to tell from the first paragraph or two what kind it is.

To get back on topic, what are your favorite episodes?

Hell yeah! So happy there's so much Stargate love.

And O'Neill sold the show to me. He's my favorite character. I stopped watching once he dissapeared and I've tried to watch other crew mix ups but I can't do it, I just can't. Which is why I put SG-1 at the top. :] <333 Daniel also has a soft spot in my heart because of his archaeological nerdyness.

I didn't even know there was a cartoon series, I feel like it's probably pretty bad.

And I don't know about favorite episode yet, since I'm re-watching it all on netflix. I'm currently on Season 2 ep; 11.

I skipped around a little bit and watched a few episodes after that because I forgot where I was but the Fifth Race and Holiday were pretty good episodes. (Still in S2)

My favorite eps are the ones that showcase Teal'c, naturally. For instance, the one with the young girl with the watergun.

Just watched that one. I love the ending to it. Another one of my favorites Teal'c scenes is actually in Holiday, mainly 'cause it shows off the acting skills they have in the body switch. I thought that was pretty cool.

Refresh my memory, what is Holiday?

Holiday is the one where they go to a world and everything's kinda covered and all of a sudden this old guy comes out and Daniel and ... I forget his name touch this object and it switches their 'consciousness' or whatever and then Teal'c and O 'Neill touch it and get body switched and then they have to hunt down the guy that's running around in Daniel's body.

Ah. It would have been cooler with Sam and Teal'c. That would really have showcased their talent.

I've noticed as I'm re-watching the show, a lot of shit happens to O 'Neill. And every few episodes they almost destroy the earth.

Just got done with the Tok'ra episodes, I forgot Sam even had a dad.

Yeah, do you ever get the feeling that SG1 was just playing it all by ear and it was only blind good luck that kept their mistakes from being fatal?

Of course the second I said that the next episode has O 'Neill getting shot with an arrow that flung through the stargate and then they almost destroyed the world again by pissing off spirits.

Bad ass, well, welcome to the coolest TV show ever. Haha.

I'm still worming my way through season 2 but I'll be caught up with you in no time.

I don't know which season it's in but the one about O 'Neills son is so sad. I think it's in one of the earliest seasons.

I own all of SG-1 and Atlantis, including the movies that go along with them. Pretty massive Stargate nerd here xD Haven't got around to checking out universe though.

I'm not sure if I'll like Universe, with it taking such a new turn compared to the other two series. I quite enjoyed the simple, if rather stale, format of them XD

if Universe failed so bad (compared to the run times of the other shows) I wouldn't imagine they'd be to up for making anything new Stargate related o-o

No that was not intentional but I feel super clever right now. xD I'm a subconscious genius.

And I tried to watch Atlantis and such but. I just couldn't do it. Then again I'm tooth and nail attached to the original and anything else is just too strange. xD

IF it's a proper movie, and not just another extended episode.. then i may be interested. They were working on some Atlantis movies for a while.

i own all the seasons of sg1 and atlantis, universe was terrible. i call it Stargate: Battlestar Voyager :o

I have yet to watch it because it really didn't appeal to me. it simply doesn't feel like Stargate, from what I've seen.

Universe wasn't that bad, it was just a leap from both SG-1 and Atlantis. There is a reason though that it didn't get renewed after it's second season though since it didn't quite have the following, and that was largely due to their inability to really settle on one major enemy. The way they ended it though it could be brought back as a TV series again or as a movie. Just a heads up.

If it ever gets picked up again in some way I may consider watching it. Don't much feel like watching two seasons of something that will just abruptly end.

Perhaps the planned Atlantis movies are actually going to happen? xD

Could be, but first they would have to get Atlantis back to the Pegasus galaxy (at least I would think so) if they were going to have it involve the Wraith.

Also, I kinda hate that they axed the Stargate MMO that they had started developing a few years back.

perhaps it will just end up with the Wraith attacking earth, since that's their whole goal isn't it?
