Avengers Assemble!

Okay, now that it's out just about everywhere it's time to have our talk.
What did you love?
What did you hate?
Who was your fav avenger and why?
And remember, use spoiler tags for the poor people that've not seen it yet!

Loved: All of it, but mostly Hulk, and Tony's snark, and

Hate:

Fav: All my love for Cap(and not just cause we got so many amazing butt shots...really...I swear) because he totally got the Flying Monkeys LMAO

And another fav moment:

So, yeah, can you tell this is one happy Marvel fan?

Illusion 05-07-2012 12:09 AM

I just got back form seeing. No joke JUST GOT BACK.
It seems like you had too.

My favorite moments.

Black Widow: Locke has killed over 80 people in 3 days.
Thor: He's adopted.

Other..
Agent Johnson: I watched you when you slept.
Capt Amer: O.e
Agent J: I mean I observed you when you were frozen.

Overall funny film. Great action. I already want to see it again.

Fey 05-07-2012 12:13 AM

OMG yessssssssssssss Coleson being all fanboy was sooooooooo perfect! And creeper..and perfectly creeper!

Actually I saw it opening night, but I saw it a second time tonight with friends that couldn't go Thursday/Friday.

Illusion 05-07-2012 12:21 AM

Black Widow: What is it? I'm in a middle of an interrogation. This guy is giving me everything.

XDDDDDD

Fey 05-07-2012 08:56 PM

I could probably spend this whole thread quoting the whole thing...I don't know of one character that didn't say something worth repeating. wooooow, double negative in that last one...oh well, grammar police come hunt me down!

Umaeril 05-10-2012 08:44 PM

Fey 05-11-2012 10:04 AM

Yeah I have to agree...PP was sorta just TOSSED in there, in a way that I was like O.o wha...why...you should be off running SI, shoo. And I do adore

Umaeril 05-11-2012 04:37 PM

OMG I just have to say...

Fey 05-12-2012 12:52 AM

I'm so, so panicked that Joss is NOT on board to do the other two Avengers movies. Freaked right the heck out! I mean..who can follow it?? would anyone want to be 'that guy' the guy that had to do the second one? I think I need to start prodding marvel fans to beg him to do the other two.

Asami 05-12-2012 10:37 AM

It really was an amazing movie. The 3d was fantastic ouo
so much win
8D i cant wait for the next one ouo

Umaeril 05-12-2012 12:09 PM

Hey Asami, I totally agree with you, the 3D was really awesome. Not overdone but in just the right places. Seems like 3D is getting better as we go along here.

@ Fey - Joss has really shown what he can do with this major film. I hope people just sit up and go "whoa" to this man who has been (outside of his genre) not appreciated enough. But I wonder how you would get fans to speak up. Is there a place one goes to speak up about this sort of thing?

Lauv Keiko 05-12-2012 04:45 PM

I loved that part most when cpt. america and tony stark argued a little bit like kids and tony answered with, "A multi-billionaire genius playboy philanthopist?"
XD

I saw that movie at a drive in movie theater it was awesome

What I love: the fact that in one scene when tony stark is wearing a black sabbath shirt (which is the band that wrote and made the song "iron Man", classic and clever humor moment in my book)

What I hate: this is based on my part but the confusion of the story between the characters, reason why it was my fault is because I only saw iron man 2 and no other hero movies. And I wasn't sure of the ending in the restaurant suppose to be funny.

Another Fave moment: that one with Loki saying "I shall not be bullied" and hulk just grabs him and throw him around like a rag doll.

Fey 05-12-2012 09:11 PM

The easiest way to get the fans' message out there is to attack social media. Everyone and their brother, including hollywood, is at it's mercy. Messaging Joss, Marvel and Disney on twitter. Posting with links on facebook. Linking blogs and tumblr accounts. In this day and age the fan has a lot of pull on what gets done. A good example is the end of...craaaaap can't recall the game...but anyway, game had terrible ending, fans protested LOUDLY, a new ending was released. That simple. If, as a fan, we now start pulling for him to direct again, we can probably egg at least two out of the three to get on board.

Arikana 05-12-2012 10:01 PM

I almost watched it today. But decided to go with watching Dark Shadows instead. >w<

Fey 05-13-2012 12:16 AM

I will go see both...monday for avengers again, probably mid next week for DS.

Ducky 05-13-2012 11:59 AM

I still haven't seen it, but I got home yesterday after 3 weeks, so i should get a change soon :D

Umaeril 05-13-2012 03:14 PM

I'd see it again for sure. But probably at home I'm thinking. *too lazy to go out and see it again*

Ducky 05-13-2012 03:26 PM

I very rarely go and see a movie, so i think i should make the effort for this one.

Umaeril 05-13-2012 07:04 PM

You should. Seriously. It is "retinal ambrosia" as my hubby says, total eye candy. If you like those kind of comic book action films then this is for you. If you like slow, psychologically intense thrillers with hidden motives and a twist at the end then don't go. ^_^

Fey 05-13-2012 07:53 PM

pfffffft, if you like psychological thrillers totally go, just don't expect this to be one LOL And it's easy for me to see things in the theater, I live about...well...::throws a rock:: that far from one that has pretty decent prices.

Umaeril 05-17-2012 10:29 PM

Same here so I should go out but I don't want to, too lazy. Did you catch that interview with Stan Lee? I think it was on the CNN site.

fineheart234 05-18-2012 12:09 PM

I will say this everyone did an excellent job playing everyone. It was a very good film. Written well :D

Fey 05-18-2012 05:53 PM

OwO apparently I gets to go see it again...so happy! lord I'm a nerdy li'l thing

Umaeril 05-19-2012 12:38 AM

Nice, how was it on a 2nd watch? Did you notice stuff you didn't notice before?

Fey 05-19-2012 09:16 AM

LOL I've seen it way more than two times. And yes, I always tend to notice something I've not seen before. Usually small background things, or oddly placed things. Started keeping track of all the product placements and things like that to see who's REALLY happy that Avengers is approaching 500M in the US.

Umaeril 05-20-2012 06:10 PM

Wow I never thought about product placement. How many did you see? I never made it back to see it again...we'll see about next week.

Fey 05-20-2012 08:15 PM

lesse, Southwest, Coke, Dr Pepper, uuuuhm...I know I saw more. I think at last count I found about a half dozen, but now I can't recall 'em all.

Umaeril 05-21-2012 10:39 AM

It's probably good you can't remember them, lol. They did not make much of an impression in that case. I really dislike product placement. Ugh.

Fey 05-22-2012 09:52 AM

I know why they do it, I mean you have to pay for the movie somehow. And I know I'd rather not pay for them, cause I wouldn't get the choice to not pay for the crappy ones, or the ones I wouldn't watch. But I'm sure if hollywood could figure it out they would.

Alpha 05-23-2012 12:01 PM

Okay, loved the movie and don't regret waiting to see it. Was better without the large crowd of people.

Honestly my favorite part was when they finally came together, Cap was issuing out orders to each and then just looks at Hulk and says, "Hulk, smash." That, plus Hulk's nice punch to Thor. Just out of nowhere with the idea of "we may be working together now, but that was for earlier."

Fey 05-23-2012 08:16 PM

I call that hit from Hulk the ultimate bro-fist...which Thor totally missed the cue for...

Lancelot 05-28-2012 12:23 AM

The whole cast, from superhero to villain were just amazing. Robert Downey Jr. was his usual wonderful self playing Tony Stark, there's a reason he's the highest paid actor in the movie. Mark Ruffalo did a good job with the Hulk, who was very entertaining throughout the movie, to my surprise.

Hero 05-28-2012 12:41 AM

FFF
I want to see it so bad
My friends keep raving about it
I'm bugging the hell out of my friend who works at the theaters to get me tickets

Kotomi 05-29-2012 12:51 PM

is that movie one you really should watch in the theaters

bf told me that, I'm currently the one with the money, I don't like theaters since I don't like loud noises...

kind of feeling bad I didn't take him though, he really wanted to see it... still debating about it, even if I don't like theaters

Wicked 05-29-2012 04:58 PM

I've seen it twice and really pushing to see it again.

It's definitely a "big screen" movie and you should see it while it's still in theaters if at all possible. But.. it was really loud Kotomi. I won't lie to you about that. Maybe ear plugs would help? oO

Fey 05-29-2012 08:42 PM

I think you could get away with not seeing it in theaters. Yes, it's super, super impressive on the big screen, but it will carry over well to the small screen. Assuming they don't mess with the aspect ratio.

Twigg 05-29-2012 09:36 PM

I loved it so much! There were so many funny moments in that movie, it was crazy! And I love your favorite moment as well! So hilarious!

Kotomi 05-29-2012 10:03 PM

well my family has a old large tv so I wouldn't have a problem with watching it on a big screen but bf tv's are small could take 4 of what he has to equal the one my parents got from my grandparents when they sold their house...
hmm ear plugs may work
even if I may get made fun of for it, it might get me past the loudness ^-^
thanks for the idea Wicked

Wicked 05-30-2012 08:49 AM

Who would make fun? Your boyfriend?
Pfft. I'm sure you have dirt on HIM so just have a sassy comeback in mind.

Still Fey has a point in that it will carry over. That's what the whole "formatted to fit your screen" thing is all about! So however you end up seeing it will work out just fine. There's the now factor if you go to the theater but if you wait and watch at home the snacks are cheaper.
