Toonami IS OFFICIALLY BACK MAY 26TH!

WE WON. Cartoon network gave in.
Adult swim won ALL THE POINTS.
Toonami is back, even though it's still the original time slot as Anime on Adult Swim we get Tom back. That and two amazing shows Deadman Wonderland and.. Some other thing.. I haven't heard of.. But hey Deadman Wonderland that's awesome! <3 Now all we need is Gurren Lagann, Tiger & Bunny, and Eden of the East to make the programming block perfect.

katyasha 05-21-2012 07:32 PM

Sweet something new to watch.

Illusion 05-21-2012 10:54 PM

I can't wait... *Dies of anticipation*

Echo-chan713 05-21-2012 11:08 PM

I love Deadman Wonderland, I've seen the whole series. But sadly I don't have cable

hyjin 05-22-2012 12:27 AM

i hope its not another prank by them

Illusion 05-22-2012 12:54 AM

I think it's legit..
Thinking about it.. If Adult Swim did prank us, there will be a lot. And I mean A LOT of angry nerds out there. After promising this to us, after all this hype. That would cause SERIOUS damage to the network. Just expect to see high numbers for the next Toonami block.

hyjin 05-22-2012 01:02 AM

well the only thing to do is wait

Crystallyn Whisper 05-22-2012 01:11 AM

*flops and waits as patiently as possible* So super happy and excited. > w<

Ashy 05-22-2012 06:14 AM

hyjin 05-22-2012 09:43 AM

He means that so called live action stuff they were showing like Tim and Eric great show, Delocated, and many other as well.

Illusion 05-22-2012 06:06 PM

No more live action crap?
I can agree with that. Who watches that stuff anyways?
I watch the venture bros. Family guy, aqua team hunger force, robot chicken, and anime. <3 Oh and superjail.. I feel like I'm forgetting some good shows here..

hyjin 05-22-2012 06:23 PM

i only watch the cartoons not the live junk

katyasha 05-22-2012 09:06 PM

agreed I wanted to be what it was before they added the live action stuff.

Ashy lives in australia and they don't have adult swim =p

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 09:42 PM

Too bad their still showing bleach. Because other than that, I'm interested in the line-up, but I am so tired of bleach, I'm not even going to watch it.

And Toonami isn't back. It's adult swim with a different name for their "anime night" of the week.

hyjin 05-22-2012 11:16 PM

oh... well that no fun for ashy

Obbiesan 05-23-2012 11:52 AM

Well i cant wait and it might not be old Toonami yet but as was stated on twitter they got so little money for bringing it back they only got Deadman Wonderland and Casserin Sins. We just need to watch and support it if we want good Ol' Toonami back

Alpha 05-23-2012 11:56 AM

Well, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Yokuutsu 05-23-2012 11:57 AM

Good ol Toonami won't come back. There's not enough support for it. And I can watch Deadman Wonderland online somewhere when I want instead of trying to stay up late just to catch it.

Now, if they were bringing back some of the older stuff, hell, I'd even take Naruto, Outlaw Star. I miss Tenchi Muyo...wonder if I can get that on crunchyroll.

Good luck to adult swim with their Toonami. I won't be too interested unless .hack series start playing. Then I might stay up at night to watch it. Though I will admit, what I've seen of Deadman Wonderland is good...so congrats to them on finally getting an anime I like. Too bad the ones I want to watch other than that come on so late/early that I can't stay awake. Like Cowboy Bebop and some of Inuyasha.

Alpha 05-23-2012 12:22 PM

Eh, they may given enough time and interest. It's also a matter of other stations having the rights to some shows, such as Shippuden having been shanghaied by Disney XD.

Illusion 05-25-2012 12:12 AM

Well bleach ended in Japan so I won't worry about it too long. We will get a new replacement. Maybe they could air Hitman Reborn.
(And if they were truly awesome, they would skip the first 20 episodes when the manga made the conversion from a comedy to a mainstream battle manga.)
But I think they want more darker animes, fit for teens. So they could play Tiger & Bunny, the show is getting dubbed for American audiences and there will be a bidding war because people will be wanting to air it.

Ashy 05-25-2012 03:43 AM

bleah hasnt ended, from what i gathered its a bad translation and its on break because it caught up to the manga o_O

and im glad that deadman wonderland is getting an english dub :D

Illusion 05-26-2012 03:38 AM

I remember when Deadman Wonderland was put on Anime Season. I seriously said that this would be a perfect fit on Adult Swim's anime lineup.
THE BEST THING. I was talking about Deadman Wonderland to my friend Anup about a month or two ago. I told him how good of a anime it was and told him how fitting it would be on Adult Swim. When he sent me a Facebook message (right after I made a status update saying Toonami was back.) He said that "They were playing that show Deadman Wonderland I'm always talking about."

xDD I feel like I have a gift to bring anime to Toonami just by talking about it. So now I'm going to constantly talk about Tiger & Bunny in hopes it will be put on Adult Swim. <3
Which it probably will if Toonami hits off, especially considering that Viz has the rights to dub Tiger & Bunny and that they are currently Dubbing it as we speak. So I'm excited. <3

Funkduder 05-26-2012 04:42 AM

Is it strange that I want Ronin Kenshin? I saw a few episode here and there, and I found them interesting.

Alpha 05-26-2012 01:47 PM

Nah, it isn't strange Funk. I would like to see some of the old Gundams brought back though, especially the original and Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

Illusion 05-26-2012 04:55 PM

I personally never liked Gundam :/
Can I ask? What do you like about Gundam?

Hero 05-26-2012 05:11 PM

FFFF
Did I read the title correctly?
Oh my god I loved Toonami
Story of my childhood
I'm so glad that it's back

MeiMei 05-26-2012 06:48 PM

I am so happy. I saw my friend's status update on Facebook. At first I thought he was kidding, but when I checked he was so right. I can't believe it~! <333 I can't wait to see Toonami back up and in action again tonight. <3333

Illusion 05-27-2012 02:56 AM

*Watching Toonami*
TOM. It's been a while.... I miss you old friend.

Crystallyn Whisper 05-27-2012 12:04 PM

It was so awesome~ ; w; I missed you, Tom. I passed out after FMA though.

Glass Heart 05-27-2012 02:02 PM

YAY that's awesome

Alpha 05-27-2012 06:56 PM

Didn't watch it. Was busy with other things. How was it?

Illu: To answer your question, I trace back to my early childhood. It was probably one of the first animes that I watched and I personally like the idea of large scale combat by people within armored suits. Hard to explain.

Hero 05-27-2012 11:46 PM

dsaoidja
So upset that I missed it last night
/cries in a corner

Illusion 05-28-2012 06:25 AM

I can't wait until next weeks episode of Deadman Wonderland <3

Me too I want to see what happens next.

Rem 06-01-2012 03:41 PM

Bwahhh I missed it! *sigh* I always seem to miss the Toonami surprise sneaks

ShaylaSakura 06-14-2012 07:27 PM

Now they don't show Inuyasha anymore. T_T

Kit Katy 07-11-2012 07:09 PM

With the old shows, such as DBZ and Code Lyoko, coming to surface; it doesn't really surprise me that they're bringing it back. I wish they would've done so sooner though. The waiting and watching horrid blimps of the new cartoons, is really getting under my skin.

Haze 07-16-2012 05:16 PM

It was definitely a happy night at my place when we heard that familiar voice. And it's on Adult Swim so parents can't complain about their children being introduced to anything bad without it being their fault. > o>~
