Avatar, The Spirit trials (Open and accepting)
Introduction Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and Sokka and Katara discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. Although his airbending skills are great, he had a lot to learn before he was ready to save anyone. But with the help of his friends, Aang defeated Fire Lord Ozai and ended the Hundred Year War. Zuko, Ozai's son and his ally, became the new Fire Lord. Together with Earth King Kuei, Aang and Zuko promised to return the Nations to harmony. Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko transformed the Fire Nation colonies into the United Republic of Nations, a society where benders and non-benders from all over the world could live and thrive together in peace and harmony. They named the capital of this great land Republic City. Avatar Aang accomplished many remarkable things in his life. But sadly, his time in this world came to an end. And like the cycle of the seasons, the cycle of the Avatar began anew. Avatar Korra was great but she faced an even greater force, Amon, the great equalist who wanted to take away all peoples bending. She fought against him and won, the great peace was restored but it took a great toll, the people felt a great hurt for the time their bending was lost and avatar Korra swore never to use her bending again as penance for the time that each bender had lost theirs. She was the great fighter but also the great negotiator. She lived until the bending destroyed her, the spirit of her powers destroying her. And such a new avatar was born to carry on the cycle… and they shall face an even greater problem. The power inside them is in unrest and this avatar may be the last, the great spirits feel like an avatar is no longer needed. That one person is no longer able to carry the whole burden of being the avatar, that the powers shall be split between two people come the next avatar if this one can not prove themselves. |
The World The world hasn't changed much in the past 200 years, except for the cities, they have gotten more advanced, the roads bigger, the trees smaller. They have tamed some of the wilderness that is the world but there are still places that are exactly the same as when Avatar Aang walked through them. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._world_map.jpg Main cities |

Ari stood tall near the door of the council room, they were arguing with the White lotus member again. Probably about the Avatar, it was always what they argued about. Shifting her eyes down under her mask she looked at her nails drawing out small sparks of fire from her finger tips. She was one of serval guards on duty waiting for their council member to emerge. Counting the heads she noticed that the Earth Kingdom representative only brought one guard today, the weaker earth bender was standing by a column looking lost with out it's partner. She knew no names of the other guards, the 3 water benders, two northern water tribe guards one the southern guard, the now one earth bender who protected the king's lackey from the council, and the one younger White louts guard.. not that the council member needed a guard.. they were perfectly capable of protecting themselves along with the rest of the council if an attack came. The Air bender never brought a guard, it was against their religion or something. Snorting a small puff of smoke went out her nose alerting her partner that she was bored. He nudged her side glaring as if to say, you shouldn't be here anyway so stop acting so haughty. Which was true... she was the youngest personal guard in the whole republic city force, but she was a good fire bender and bending even a small bit of blue flame made her extremely valuable. Glazing over her eyes Ari went back to what had brought her here. She was only 19, but the Army started her off young.. about 6 thanks to her father being the head of the army. She would run away from her cousins, the next Fire lord's daughter and several other important figures. She didn't want to learn how to be a proper lady she wanted to be around her aging father and learn how to fight so she could be round him even more. Her parents were older, she was a full 30 years younger than her cousin, the next fire lord. They had thought her mother was incapable of bearing children, but along came Ari after a risky pregnancy. She was a miracle to her parents and she wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. She would watch father train the armies of men that protected the fire lord and helped keep peace over the nation's waters and trade routes. For days on end she would just watch and at night practice the stances that her father had taught them. She was good, for a child and the fire lady noticed that making sure that she and her cousins all went to fire bending classes to training in the art. But her father was old, and once she turned 16 he retired to avoid favoritism in her assignment. But some how she still turned out here, in Republic city one of the most important places in the world. Hearing the doors open Ari snapped back to attention her head jerking up right to wait for the fire nation council member to appear, hopefully they had got what they wanted. |
In the city of Gaoling young Thokin stood out side yawning some it seemed like a lazy day for him, he was working on his Earth bending to improve it more but over time he started to get a little lazy not work on any kind of bending. Knowing better he should be doing so, but his interest was else where and he was becoming bored. Looking around wondering off from the training area he found a nice shady tree to nap under. What could you say about him? He was much like cat in away, but one thing he knew is he would have to leave the city soon to find other to each him more on the elements that would be needed to learn. Once getting settled down some, though in his own mind began to wonder as he slowly fell into a light slumber. I am the manry-est of men! |
Yue looked at the sleeping child, he wasn't of her tribe but it made no difference, he was the avatar and he held both Aang and Korra's spirit. Touching his forehead she let herself into his mind, for she was the moon spirit and could easily slip into his dreams. She appeared in a field much like the one he was in, he was practicing but instead of just earth, water and air also shot out of his palms like an expert. She smiled, even in his dreams he dreamed about being the avatar. Walking over to him Yue gently tapped him on his shoulder. "Young Avatar, I have important business with you."
Once she had garnered his attention she looked him straight in the eyes. "Know what I say is true, you are going to be the last Avatar if you fail this task. The six spirits believe that after what happened to Avatar Korra that one person should not hold all the power. They are either going to split the power between two people or completely remove the Avatar. To prove that the Avatar is still needed and capable of preforming their duties you will be given six tasks to complete, but you won't know when they are. We the six will be watching you but you won't know who we are. We can be anything or anyone.... we could even become you. Fail any one of these tasks and the avatar's power shall be split in two for the next cycle, fail more than two and we will remove you completely from existence. Understand this to be true and do your best to make the right decisions. Remember the Avatar a fierce fighter but also an incorruptible peace keeper. He helps those even when they do not deserve it and puts others before himself. " She kissed the child's forehead removing herself from his dreams knowing that he would get the message. |
Thokin woke from his dream holding his head some, looking about the thread trying to see who was around but his dream felt so real and the one who spoke with him felt as if they where close. Standing he knew what he needed to was to better him self and master all he can. Making a fist this was something that he was going to have to do he didn't want to give up the power nor did he want to no longer exsitste with in the world. Moving his gaze around he headed for the home he was staying in get his things ready for his journey. Once getting to the home of the people he was staying with he explained his dream he would leave soon, that he would head of to the city that Avatar Aang had created for all he would do his best try to keep peace with the world that could no longer hold it self together. Once parting way heading to the sleeping quarters he began to pack all he would need once getting all pack, he headed out his long black pony tail danced in the wind as he now would start his journey on ward to help him self and the world. Getting to the out lands of the area he headed into the woods looking for his traveling companion that he came across when he was younger a armadillo lion which he called Maru. Once finding him he smiled reached into the bag he carried to feed the huge beast then petted him. "Are you ready Maru? We are going out to see the world and help it and to better our selves." he said, while getting the sattel ready on Maru, once that was done he climb up pointed out to the lands far. "Republic City here I come!" he grind as Maru head off. I am the manry-est of men! |
Senalda Soyala Okena Senalda had to attend a meeting at Republic City Hall. In other words they gave her the boring stuff again. At least today she got to bring her two best fighters with her to the city and one of the best southern water tribe soldiers. The meeting was boring and long, but Sendalda kept her mind awake about thinking of training the avatar. It would be a great honor and would be one of the greatest things to come to the tribe, since protecting the Northern Water tribe against the fire nation back in Avatar Aang's period. The white lotus members were complaining of how it was to hard to figure out where the avatar would be because of how diverse the nations were. That was about all she got out of the meeting. Not like she was going to be the one to figure out who the avatar was. She walked out of the building following everyone else, smelling the smoke of the fire nation lackeys. Her nose wrinkled in disgust, but didn't do anything else. No need to stir up Fire nation anger. Her three soldiers followed suit to the inn she was staying at for the night. It would be a long ship ride back home and she wanted to at least give her warriors a job well done, with a trip to the city, before they had to go back to their cold homes up north. "Warriors!? You are dismissed for the night. Do what you please. BUT! be back by sundown, you are still a Water tribe warrior and you should still have disciplines ever on vacation." She gave the three a wink, the two Northerners knew what she meant as where the Southerner was confused. She wished them a good time. Once her soldiers were out of sight, she herself decided to go out and about that night. She thought she might as well get some of the city food. |
Sitting in a relatively secluded area of the Republic City's park grounds Taku wrestled with a small box that was his own personal project. The history of the young man would show he didn't personally follow all the old philosophies and traditions of the air nomads. But the lessons of his mother did instill a respect for them. His project was likely far from ever being complete but the ultimate goal was to disorient a person chiflow from a range- thus keeping someone from bending. Like all technologies it came with the danger of abuse but Taku saw it's more peaceful purposes in places like prisons and riot control.
The young teen after inspecting it over, apparently satisfied, put the mysterious little box, that looked suspiciously like a camera, away. He needed somewhere and some way to test his device without harming a bender. Taku was short of ideas that didn't involve aiming an untested device at some hired stranger. He looked through the leaves of the trees he was under; a gust of wind blew mind. Taku breathed it in with a smile. He'd broke his glider, what felt like, ages ago. He missed flying. But for all his mechanical skill he couldn't figure out how to construct one. It was aggravating considering he could get his hands on a new one easily if he just wasn't so prideful. |
Thank goodness the meeting was done, or at least it should be done by now. Admitably Tayu hadn't stayed for all of it. Why would she care? It's not like she was even allowed to go INTO the room! Her cousin, well third cousin, but that took ages to explain, was the Air Bending representative and had been forced to take Tayu along. It wasn't her fault that the wind gate training ground was old and rickety. Hadn't the last Avatar destroyed it? It must be held together pretty badly, so it wasn't HER fault it had collapsed again. Well, it might be, she just couldn't get a handle on doing things gently. So she'd been exiled from the island temple until it was rebuilt, and to 'calm' down. Right, cause RC was such a good place for a lack of stimulation.
So, while the meeting went on(and on and on and oooooon) she escaped to RC's Central Park. She'd heard they'd brought in new fish to the pond...she was hopeful to find some really, really big koi. She'd heard the story about her great, great, great(there's a lot of greats in there) grandfather riding one and she wanted to try. But, since she rarely came to the main land she was lost. Grumbling she stomped her foot and looked around. Spotting no one to yell at her she forced a stream of air below her and shot up into the air to see if she could find the pond. There! Floating to the ground like a rogue leaf she skipped off in the direction she thought it was, the remnants of her air bending shushing through the trees like a summer breeze. |
As chance would have it Taku happened to look in the direction of the air bender who made that breeze. That is if he deducting abilities could be trusted. But the fact she was falling from a medium height with a kind of grace where most people would be subject to the indignity of a falling rock...
"Hey!" he shouted as he demonstrated his own air bending by doing a full spin to propel himself just barely over the grass, landing a hop and step away from the young woman. His own bending barely sending a stray current through the air. Small as the air bender population was it almost came as a surprise he didn't know her but at the same time he didn't really get to know any benders outside his own temple. "It's been awhile since I've met another one like me." He stuck his left hand out. "Taku" |
Squeaking in shock as a young man popped up in front of her Tayu blinked. "Uhm," she quickly made note of his air bending and tilted her head to the side. Not a cousin, at least that shew knew, so...there were other air benders? "Tayu," she rocked back on her heels, her hair swishing from side to side. "Are you an air bender? Of course you are, but still, are you a new cousin? I thought that Uncle had brought in all the other cousins already. Where ya from? Did you wanna go to the lake and see the koi?" She barely took breaths between the comments, it was like being caught in a whirlwind of words.
Waving a hand at the city, "Have you gotten lost yet? I lived out in the country before Uncle took me in, so I get lost all the time. I think the lake is that way," she pointed east. "I'm trying to avoid having to go back to the island, b'sides the koi might be giant koi and then I could ride them." Finally taking a breath she tipped her head the other direction. "You don't say much do you?" ((Sorry Ju! She's sorta always hyper so she tends to talk over people, good luck!)) |
As Taku was being bombarded with a rush of words he was sure was more ramble than it was any question he was actually supposed to answer. His first initial response was a raise of his brow and narrowing of his eyes as he attempted to absorb the information. There was very imperceptible pause which chose to take a breath and opened his mouth slightly to respond at the end of her "last" sentence only to hear her apparently finish with "You don't talk much do you?"
Taku pretty much discarded all his answers because obviously her mind must have been like a sieve. She couldn't possibly retain...or rather couldn't possibly wait through all the precious seconds it took for him to say anything with 100% context but no fun. "How long does a second last in your hyped up world?" He smiled, showing he was really teasing rather than insulting her. "Cause that's all the time I had to answer about five questions sparsed between a couple statements not even related to the last question." The young man then stopped his next sentence as he realized who she was. "You are related to the current representative of the air nation?" Quickly realizing how it must've sounded to her though Taku tried to switch tracks to something else. "This isn't my first time in republic city. Even natives can get lost because of how big it is. It's just a matter of knowing the most important places and how to get there." |
Senalda Soyala Okena Senalda went to one of the venders and bought one of her favorite foods; Crab puffs. She just loved how they got the crab meat so puffy. With that in her hand she decided to go to the Republic City park. She liked how it had grass. The only other place that she got to visit, that had grass, was the spirit oasis and that was work. Once there she found two spunky air benders chatting with each other, she found this to be the perfect way to spend the rest of her time before bed. She would eat her puffs, like someone would eat popcorn at a movie. |
Thokin guided Maru to where he though RC was but then he soon realized he was at the cost that was about a day's worth a travel but then he also for got to get a map and he was horrid with North, South, East and West. "Ummm sorry Maru it seems I got us lost again and this time I don't think I know where we can go. . . " as he jumped off of the armadillo lions back walked around he couldn't tell where he was all he knew he was at the cost seeing the water he sighed. "I guess we could have gone left back at that train then straight a head. But I had a feeling I should have gone this way." he muttered to him self. Now he was going to stubborn with him self on how this had happen then getting annoyed he kicked the ground to make a chair he knew Maru was getting tired and it had been almost a full day he let out sigh deiced he would take this time to work on some bending. I am the manry-est of men! |
Misu Moshe Misu had just about enough of her home town and relatives for one vacation. She was just happy that it didn't start a week ago. But today was the day she got to go back home to Republic City. It made her happy. She was packing her clothes as fast as she could so she could get on the boat before any one else and pick her room. It took a few days to get back up north, so they had to have rooms on the ships, but if she wasn't careful she would get stuck with some one else, like her brother. She couldn't stand him one bit! Finishing up her packing she went out to the ship with bag in hand to find the one room she enjoyed most, the one by the shipping room. It was were all the goods they kept to transport to the other cities. It was the best spot to watch the benders, bender the goods out of the ship. She got lucky this time for no one had already picked the room for themselves, which means no brother! She was happy and started to only unpack a bit making herself cozy while she waited for the rest of the family. She soon fell asleep on the cot, when she was reading a book about Avatar Aang's journeys. She woke up to the ship starting to take off. She looked around to see if she was still alone and she was. She got up, stretched, started thinking about something to eat. She wondered around the ship to see where the rest of her family was when she found them. "Misu I was so worried we had left with out you! Where were you hiding?" Her mother seemed upset but her father just rolled his eyes. Her brother was daring to climb her. "I just found my own room mom, no big deals. I had to or you would have stuck me with him!" She poked to her little brother as he pounced in Misu direction. He hit his target straight on the face with his small body. If she didn't know any better she would of thought he was an air bender, but because of his training he got he was very skilled at it. "See? what did i tell you!?" Her words were muffled and all you really heard was her brother's giggles has he started to climb about her. She finally was able to pluck the four year old off of her body with one good yank. "No more. I am getting something to eat!" She tossed her brother at her father and ran as fast as she could so she could lose her brother. "Well at least we know she is alive." Her father gave her mother a huge smile in hopes that would ease the tension. Her mother gave him the death stare. Misu found her way to the kitchen to steal a bit of fish before she would get caught. She peeked in finding no cook in the room. This was perfect timing. She slowly opened the door and slid into the room, slowly making her way to the unattended food when she saw them; Egg custard tarts, Avatar Aang's favorite food. She grabbed five of them and started for her escape, with one already half eaten when she got hit in the face with the door. The pain was great, but it was much worst then what it seemed like. It was the cook. She stared up at the man from the ground, stilling holding all of the desert for the night in her hands. She finished off the one tart, and handed the four tarts back nicely but that didn't work. She was sent back to her parent's room. She had to stay there for the rest of the ride, though she planned to escape that room and at least make it to her own room, by the time they reach the port into Chin Village. An hour was all it took to hid in the room with her parents, maybe her dad knew she was behind the dresser, but her mom was clueless along with her brother. This is how she was going to do it. Her brother's nap was coming up soon, so her mother will be distracted by that, and when that happens she will just go behind them and make a dash for the door. Most likely making it out with out being seen. The moment came for her to make her dash for it. She almost didn't get seen but her father caught her. All he did though was wink at her and whisper 'no more stealing'. He was proud of her skill to get past another Kyooshi warrior like her mother, and also get by him, since he almost didn't see her leave. But Misu took this chance and made her run for it towards her room. "Made it!" She was a bit out of breath, but nothing that bad at all. She looked out of her ship window and saw Chin Village's port. Only a few more minutes until they were docked. This was her favorite part of the trip; unloading. She got out of the ship and watched as the Earth benders and Water benders, used their skills to carry the heavy boxes off the ship. She could stand there and watch them for the hours it took them to unload everything and reload the ship. |
Sitting in his seat he watched as the water laid still but he knew better then that, he worked on his earth bending and fire, he was very shaky with his water the one he had most hard time was air, he was able to make small bits of wind bit not enough to throw full gales of them. Soon in a while he saw a ship headed for land this made him wonder. "Hey Maru are you ready to head off again? I see a ship it's headed that way." he pointed to the west. "So we should see if there is a small village there and maybe we can get a ride to RC and not have to worry about getting lost any more!" he was excited for this. The huge beast blinked and watched as his master ran around gathering things up and get settled back his back. "Okay Maru off we go!" Thokin yelled as the armadillo lion got up headed west for the village that the ship would be docking at. After what seemed forever for the poor armadillo lion they reached the small village Chin. "Here are Maru! Chin it looks nice sorry about having you take the other path and then had you back track." as he petted Maru. Sliding down his back he land on the ground took the reigns walked into the town with his mount looked around. "You must be hungry Maru, cause I know I am we can grab something to eat here and we see if we can get on the ship to head out to the city and find my self some teachers to help me improve my bending." as he continued to talk to armdillo lion. Stopping he could smell something being cook and it seems it caught Maru's attention also. Wondering over he spoke with the man gave what money he could give then sighed he was only able to get enough to feed Maru. "I didn't have enough sorry buddy but here you will need this more then me." as he smiled fed it to his companion. I am the manry-est of men! |
Misu Moshe Misu's attention got distracted by a armadillo Lion coming into the village. The only time she got to see one up close was at the zoo. She slowly ventured towards the animal to see if she could get close enough to pet it. She then noticed that the lion had an owner. She could only wonder if he was a bender too. She got close enough to touch the animal, but her Kyooshi warrior training rang through her head: that maybe she should ask before just touching. "Uhh.. hi." Misu waved at the boy. He looked about her age. "Can i pet your armadillo lion?" She held her hands behind her back and waited for a reply. It was just about all she could do to keep herself from touching the animal. |
Thokin was caught of guard by the person as he looked back at her, tilting his head to the side walked up to her looked her up and down as cat would looking at someone who was watching them in return. He then moved back to Maru, whispered something to his friend then looked back at the girl. "Okay, you can pet him." he nodded some as he finished feeding Maru the last of the meat, he held on to reigns so Maru wouldn't do anything to scare the girl. "His name is Maru, he is my friend we are heading to the city, I'm Thokin." he nodded some he was in away being a little stand offish cause of his cat like persona but at the say time he wanted to know more about this person who just showed up asking if they could pet his armadillo lion. I am the manry-est of men! |
Misu Moshe Misu's eyes lit up when he said she could pet the lion. "I'm Misu Moshe. Call me what ever you like." She started to pet the beautiful cat. "I am going to the city as well! How are you getting there?" She put her face to the lion's fur and started to rub her face all over him. "soo fluffy..." She was really enjoying herself a bit too much. She turned her head to the side to see Thokin, but still kept her face on Maru. "Are you bender? If so i would love to see some bending. Maybe I could take you out to lunch?" She gave him a smile and then continued to rub her face in the fur. |
Once the words Lunch and Bought where in the same sentence he was all over it. "Sure I can show you some, and I'll even let you ride Maru for a short bit." he said to her. As he was told never let ones kindness go undone for if you do something kind in return something good will always come about it in the end. Food was on his mind since he used what he could use to get Maru a meal before him self. "So where are you coming from?" he asked her. I am the manry-est of men! |
Misu Moshe Misu was happy with their deal and went to go find a near by noodle shop with him. "Oh i am coming from Kyooshi Island. It's where i grew up." She smiled thinking about how she will try and ride him through the city in a few days. As well as Thokin bending. "You never answered my question. How are you getting to the city? Boat, train, car?" It only took them a short bit to reach the noodle shop. In fact they could still see the ship. The restaurant was a bit busy with all of the sailors and ship riders, but they got a seat pretty quickly. "SO what type of bending do you do? Earth, Water, Fire, or Air?" She gave him a big smile, showing her teeth. It was a grand moment every time she got to talk to a bender. "I will have the Five Flavored soup please." And when ever she meant one her age, she would always take them to a meal to learn more about them. Hoping one day one will like her. |
"Oh well was going to ride Maru all the way to the city then I noticed I got lost, so I was thinking maybe we could go by boat if they will allow Maru on the ship I can't really go out any where with out him he is my best friend after all since we where small. Kiyoshi Island I hear it lovely place where you have huge Koi that people can ride is that true?" he smiled at her. Once they got to the restaurant he saw how bust it was and he could smell the food his stomach growled loudly as he pinked some. "ehh sorry haven't eaten since I left this morning to head off to the city." Once they both found a place to sit he was asked of what kind of bending he could do. "Well I can Earth Bend, and bit of other things." was all he could really say he didn't know if he should say anything about him self being the Avatar after all everyone they said they where one something odd and strange would happen like with Aang even with Korra he was told all the trouble they went though and what had happened to them it was rather something he didn't want to have so many people know. "Umm, I'll have a beef noddle bowl is that fine?" he asked. I am the manry-est of men! |
Ari got back to the main house taking off her helmet and armor as soon as the representative was safely inside. Under her armor was her under wrappings, they were loose enough to let it be still known that she was female, but tight enough to battle in. Running to her bunk in the guard area she threw on her vest, grabbing her sword. during guard duty she had to look like a typical bender, a fire sword of her waist would mark her as a highly trained individual. Now that she was off duty though it was time to let herself be known. She wasn't important enough to be known to the public eye that she was a royal, family twice displaced away from the throne but still a royal.
She wanted to get away from it though, most of the other Guards knew that she was of the royal line and they treated her differently. Hell sometimes they acted as if she were more important than the council member, which she wasn't, she was nothing important because she would never take the throne she was far enough down the line that unless the whole Capitol City was destroyed some one would all ways be there to take over. Closing the door behind her Ari set out for the park to see if any one was causing trouble, the fire benders in this city where mostly calm but there were a few that wanted to see the rise of the Phoenix King... which thankfully would never happen. Azula had died during Avatar Korra's time, and Fire Lord Zuko didn't act like his family members. The park seemed calm today, a few air benders who weren't on the island... |
Grinning wide Tayu took no exception to Taku's words. "A second is nearly a year, specially if I have to sit STILL for it! But that's okay, you learn to talk over me, or at least everyone I met has." A puff of air brought the smell of puffed crab and her stomach growled. "And, uhm, I guess I'm sorta related to the Councilman...it's like a bunch of seconds and thirds and half removed cousin steps, but there's some sort of relationship. Though I know he sometimes claims I'm not." Rocking on her heels she sways to and fro.
"And if you're not a cousin, of some sort, does that mean there were other air benders that survived the war long, long, long ago? Or is your family some deep dark secret love child sorta thing? And I swear, I never got lost at home, but I think they change street names every Friday because I knew where this great tea shop was, but when I tried to go back it was a dry cleaners! And I know I didn't get lost...maybe...probably...." (Ju, et al, I hate to do this, but I'm gonna be outta town until sunday night, so if need be you can either drag Tayu around or you can just say she hyper-lost herself into the woods, sorry! I was just so excited this got started I couldn't wait!) |
Misu Moshe Misu wondered if he had thought through the whole ship ride thing, but at that moment she was more interested in in what he meant by 'bit of other things'. "So can you metal bend as well? That could come in handy." She grinned at him. Misu started to play with a metal spoon in hopes that if he could she would ask him to bend the spoon. A few moments went by and their soup was brought to them. "This smells yummy! Have you ever tried the water tribe's famous soup?" She offered some of the soup to him, not minding if he used her spoon. "Oh and about the koi fish. Yes. It is true! they are very big and only the water benders can ride them, so i never got the chance." Her mood dimmed a bit at the thought of her not being bale to bend anything. She took a sip of her soup and cheared herself up. "mmmm It's so good!" She looked at a clock and saw that it had been getting closer to the ship getting ready to sail off. "Oh, it's almost time for my ship to set sail. Have you figured out how you are getting up to the city?" She felt the need to help the bender to get where he had to go. And she wanted to become better friends with him as well. She had few bender friends. Most of her friends were from her home town or from her Kyoshi Warrior class, but that was it. |
"I'm pretty sure my parents' story falls woefully short of a good romance novel." Taku did note her stomach growling. As he turned, "He let's get something to eat!"
The young man held a momentary paused when he noticed 2 other people nearby seeming to be staring at him and Tayu...one was a woman seeming to possess wisdom that came with age. The other was a warrior judging by how she held herself. That or just a hot girl with a rebellious streak, maybe both. In any case Taku didn't like the feeling of being watched. He hoped he was just being needlessly paranoid. Taku liked crab puffs so he decided to speak to at least one of them. "Good evening ma'am. Where'd you buy that crab puff? It smells really good." |
Thokin looked at her, "Metal ummm I'm not sure on that yet, I can do earth, like I said a little of this here and that there." as he ate his meal taking a small sample of hers. "Your meal is very nice, I should try and order it when I come by here again." as he continued to eat his meal. "I muust visit to see these Koi I would love to be able to ride them!" as he listened to her story. "You wish you could be a bender don't you?" he asked as he continued to work on his mean, as he heard her ask the question of how they where going to get to the city. "Well if we couldn't get on the ship we could keep traveling by land or find another way around." as he scratched the back of his head laughed a little at the idea. "Wait what it's leaving soon?!" he panicked. I am the manry-est of men! |
Senalda Soyala Okena Senalda watched as the air bender came over to her to ask about her crab puffs. She didn't really know what to say. It was hard for her to communicate with others, that she wasn't training. Though he had good manners and was rather kind about asking, she just told him. "Over there." She pointed to the direction of the main city. She realized that wouldn't be much of a help. Getting low on crab puffs though she decided to show him the way, so she could as well get more crab puffs. "Ok just follow me." She stood up and started to walk in the direction of the delicious puffs, popping the last one in her mouth. It was a short, but quiet walk for her as she lead the young man to the vender of crab puffs. "I wish to have one more set of crab puffs." She got out her money from her water tribe coin purse and handed the vender man the money. |
Misu Moshe Misu didn't quite understand the little bit of that and stuff, but she decided to let it slide for now, hoping to figure it out later at some point. She also thought on how he thought to ride the Koi since he said he was an air bender. Misu laughed at the fact he really didn't think it through. "Ok i got this! let's go!" She set the money down on the counter and devised a plan to get Thokin on the ship. The hardest part was going to be Maru. Out side of the shop she stared at the ship, they were still reloading some items on the ship. "Perfect!" She made her way over to the ship's side and then whispered to Thokin; "Ok here is the plan: first we must get Maru into the cargo space. After that sneaking you into my room." She grew a devese smile on her face. "I just love action. Life gets so boring sometimes." She grabbed Maru's reins and started to pull, dragging the armadillo Lion around when none of the benders were looking. "Ok Thokin, knock over those creates with your bending." She poked to the last creates that they had to put into the ship. Once that was done it should be very simple for her to sneak Maru into the back of the cargo. Once they had finished that it was time to board the ship for good. It would be challenging since her room was close to the back of the ship. But with her skills she should at least be able to get in with out a problem, Thokin was going to have the most issues. "Now you need to follow me exactly. Got it?" She stared straight into his eyes, making sure he understand how important this step was. She started out slow, making her way towards the doors. She waited for a bunch of people to go in all at once. "Stay by my right side, and kept with my feet." She went to the middle of the line, hoping for the other ships riders to give him the cover he needed. Once up to the ticket checker all she had to do was show him the ticket and as long as he followed he steps he should be good. Once in hopefully they would be able to make it to the back with out any one asking for a boat ticket. ((you can control my character to get to her room if you want! It should make things a bit easier for you to make a fuller post)) |
Ari watched as the people walk of before shaking her head and going further into the park to the Koi pond to practice her stances. She stood near the bushes making sure she was atleast slightly covered before releasing her inner fire. The deep red pulled with wisps of blue on the edges.
Proof that she was related to the crazed ex fire princess, people outside the royal family that could make blue fire were extremely rare, and contracted by the military for training and watching. After Azula going crazy they blamed it on the flame making sure that all benders that could produce even the lightest tinge of blue where under a constant guard watch for signs of insanity. Just another reason as to why she wasn't going to ever be ruler or High guard of the military. The highest postion she would ever get would be head of the blue guard, an elite force no doubt but assigned to some of the oddest tasks. Never near the royal family, never on it's own. She was glad for her power but cursed it all the same. She would never be on her own. Ari let the fire dance in her palm moving the flames to where they moved in different ways seperating the heat between red and blue before consentrating even more and making a figure of just blue flame and another of red. The figures where vague, like a ghost but they bowed to each other before moving in closer and all but touching walked around each other in a circle. The Water Spirit and the Fire spirit. |
Thokin listened to her plan some then moved around to the side to make sure he was not seem or notice able for what ever he was doing he seemed to be like any normal person standing about watching the people work. With a quick kick, to the ground he used his bending to push up some rocks to knock over some of the cargo that was to be going on to the ship as he moved his foot back the piece he had moved up was gone. Looking over Misu, telling her to go on a head. The workers scrambled around trying to under stand what had just happened and why all of the cargo just toppbled over for no reason. This was going to be the hard part for Thokin, he followed on to the ship while everyone was in wonder in what had happen but he was going to have follow Misu all the way back to her room which he didn't understand on what she had meant, but was going to try and follow all her movements as best as he could. Ducking and sneaking past so many people after they where able to get Maru safe away it was trying to get to her room. He looked about trying to figure out what she was doing as she snuck and ducked and rolled he followed as best as her could and that was not easy for someone like him who had no idea what was happening. But after running about almost getting caught they finally got to her cabin room Thokin fell to the floor. "I have no idea what that was. . . .but it was really hard to do." as he laid on the floor trying to make sure he was all there. I am the manry-est of men! |
Tayu bounced after the woman and Taku...they were going to get...oh! She stopped and peered at the newest mechanized driving machine parked at the curb. Her male cousins had been talking about the White Lightening for days, and look here it was! Clasping her hands behind her back she peered from on her toes into the windows. Her hands behind her since she was often yelled at by others for getting 'your grimmy hands [on] my auto-driver!'
Circling the car she got vexed when she couldn't see in the back window and hopped up and down, small puffs of wind keeping her hovering, but rattling the carriage of the vehicle. "Ooooooooooooo, they're gonna be so jealous when I tell 'em I got to see one in person." she chortled to herself. Done with her perusal she looked up and squinted to see if she could spot where Taku had gone. Screwing up her mouth when she didn't immediately spot him she twiddled her thumbs behind her back. What had they been looking for again? |
Misu Moshe Misu laughed. It happened almost everyday for her. She REALLY liked her egg custard tarts. "Oh when you are around me you will get use to get." She gave a huge smile as she lied down on her bed. "So, Why are you heading to the city for?" She turned to look down at Thokin on the floor. "Nice bending by the way." She enjoyed the fact that she was now going to have a roommate, a bending roommate. She felt like her life was about to change. A knock on the door startled Misu. Did her parents know what room she was in? Misu pointed to under her and whispered;"Hide." She slowly answered the door, but kept the only enough for them to see her face, just in case Thokin needed a bit more time to get under the bed. It was her father. "Dinner is gonna be soon." She nodded to her father, but he didn't leave. "Yes, father?" He looked at her. He could see right through her. "What are you hiding?" She was speechless, how did he know? "uhhh...." Her father gave her 'the look'. It was all over now. |
"Why? Well I had a dream that I needed to head there for a reason of my own and the world in away." as he looked up at her, gave her a smile. "Earth is my main element after all so I would be rather well at it." he admitted to her. Hearing the knock Thokin looked around trying to find a place to hide as Misu started to point to the bed he tired to wiggle under it, he was able to but his long pony tail stuck out with out him knowing. All he could do was hold his breath some as he listened to the conversation that was happening. I am the manry-est of men! |
