Pricing on sketches?

Hi all! :)

I'm thinking about whether or not to open a shop here, but of course I would like some pricing info first.

I usually only do sketches and they're kind of simple, so I'm not expecting much haha.

And a few more. They're all a bit old.

Thanks for looking. :B

If you put [img][/img] tags around your links it will show the pictures in the spoilers.

I love the art. 5k per bust maybe? more if you add color.
7k -10k for a full body?

Coco 08-01-2012 01:28 AM

Thanks, I just realized it - for some reason I always forget when copying from imgur. orz'

And that's much appreciated, it's more than expected!

Mizeria 08-01-2012 01:31 AM

Well... thats what I would pay for them
^^;

you could also maybe have a bribe spot for detailed, full color, full body work. If you're any good at that sort of thing, I think you could really make some Au off that. or even runes or items.

you could also double the price for couples if you draw them.

Coco 08-01-2012 01:36 AM

Oh, that's a good idea, thanks for the input. ^ u^

I can do some sloppy coloring sometimes, but it's rare.

Mizeria 08-01-2012 01:40 AM

If you open a shop please let me know. I would love to get art from you~

Coco 08-01-2012 01:43 AM

Why thank you, I certainly will try!
I like the horns and ribbons on your current avatar, actually. ;D

Espy 08-01-2012 01:43 AM

HOLY SHIT. I'd definitely pay at least 5k for a bust-up O____O

Mizeria 08-01-2012 01:45 AM

actually this avi wouldn't be the first avi I get art of
^^;;

but I'm glad you like it

Coco 08-01-2012 01:48 AM

@Espy - Gosh thank you! 8D

@Miz - Oh, hehe. Well, either way. x)

Mizeria 08-01-2012 01:50 AM

-hopes you decide to open a shop-

^^
I'm excited
New artists are always exciting

Coco 08-01-2012 01:52 AM

c: I may try. Though, I tend to bounce around various sites and forums, so I generally don't open one for long or have a lot of slots.

But Trisphee seems quiet enough, I don't think it'd be a problem.

Mizeria 08-01-2012 01:54 AM

there are a few of us that are art freaks, but mostly tris isn't all that active, sadly.
We need to find way to get more people here
buut...
I hope you do stick around.

If you open a shop, will you draw couples?

Pinkie 08-01-2012 11:18 AM

Headshot: 4k
Bust: 6k
Waste: 9k
Thigh: 12k
Full: 15k

More if they are colored but the leanness of the sketch is great!!!

Coco 08-01-2012 02:16 PM

Ahh sorry, I got distracted last night...

@Miz - I know how that is, the quiet sites are nice but sometimes feels like there's not much to say. I can try couples but not used to doing it often. c:

@Pink - Thanks for the input!

waist and thigh are both the same thing, from the bottom of the ribs to mid-thigh is all 'waist' art

Gallagher 08-01-2012 06:31 PM

Eh? I don't consider them the same at all. Not so different that they would need a drastic price difference, this much is true, but anything from ribs -> hips I see as waist, and hips -> knee I see as thigh. Both in buying and selling art, I can't imagine not having that line to know just what is expected.

I agree with Pink's pricing, though I certainly wouldn't argue if you priced full body like Miz suggested, eheh.

Coco 08-01-2012 06:31 PM

Heh, I typically split mine into bust, half and full body. Or only offer one of them at any time, just seems simpler. x)

littl3chocobo 08-01-2012 06:35 PM

well there are two good reasons for that, one, sometimes the natural 'waist' of the char is higher or lower than the top of the hips, this allows the artist to judge the most atheistically pleasing place to stop also if the art is more or less than what you have been paid you can add or subtract a couple inches off or the art without having to change what the order is or skip in other places

Gallagher 08-01-2012 06:39 PM

I see what you mean. But when I say hips, I actually mean something more like crotch, so I can't really imagine a waist going THAT low. xD

littl3chocobo 08-01-2012 06:41 PM

the art in my sig? my avi has a waistline that is under the breasts and uder the crotch, both are places to stop but nothing in between, that is what i mean

Gallagher 08-01-2012 06:45 PM

I'm afraid I just don't see it. My brain works in funny ways, so I might not be understanding right. I do like the way that art is cut off, though.

littl3chocobo 08-01-2012 06:52 PM

say you have to draw the art, to make it look the best you woul need to end the art at one of the natural cutoff lines, on that image there are two, the belt under the bust and the end of the doll-dress, you would /not/ cut off at the waist because that is in the middle of the dress and looks bad you would cut it off either at the belt or the bottom of the dress

both of those places count as 'waist' even though one is on the ribs and one is on the hips

Gallagher 08-01-2012 06:56 PM

Well, I don't know. I see what you mean, and that def works with a style like yours, but I know some good styles that could cut it off part of the way along the dress, too, and it would look perfectly fine.

Coco 08-01-2012 07:15 PM

Sorry, work got busy...I sometime have been known to crop a pic at a weird place, but I get what you're saying, choco. And I appreciate the advice! C:
