The Hunt For The Throne! (Check OOC for details)

The streets were filled with people of all sorts as Kate made her way through outer city of the castle, It had seemed more people were interested in this endeavour than she had previously thought. She made to a man standing along side his street side shop. "Excuse me sir, Can you tell me the best way to the throne room." The man turned around slowly "Oh, Great another mindless man looking to get power that doesn't belong..." The man froze as he turned around seeing Kate stand under the small covered roof of his small out door store.. "OH, pardon me miss all day a bunch of men have been bothering me with the same question, Is there some big event happening at the castle?" Kate giggled and shook her head "You could say something like that, So do you know the way?" She smiled as she pulled from her pocket a small amount of gold and handed it to the man, Kate was not the type to just ask for help without paying someone back for it. "Oh you don't have to do that, As for directions you take this street all the way down and there will be a draw bridge, At the draw bridge there will be 4 guards talk to them and im sure the rest of the way will be clear." Katie smiled leaving the gold on the mans counter in front of him and running at a decent pace toward the direction she had just been told of, She was excited for this challenge she wanted to make the world a better place not only for all the Grown men and women, But for the children as well for she knew what it was like to grow up alone and always scared to face your parents,Well parent for Kate. |
The noise from the huge crowd was a little overwhelming, the hustle and excitement over the challenge for the king's throne was causing such a ruckus. Ears pinning back against her head, a young woman sat on the roof over a little shop's porch and watched the crowd pass by. "Nnngh.... Man this place is getting to crowded." Shaking her head, the short dark hair swishing around her face as she moved to jump down to the street.
Landing in a crouch in the alley, Mairi's eyes rose slowly to glance over the crowd and take in a little bit of her surroundings. The great city was a little new to her, since she liked staying out closer to the mountains. But the wind had carried the news, and she couldn't resist the idea of finding out who would be the new ruler. Especially if I can help a kind person get that power. Someone who actually deserves it.... Brushing the dust off her green pants, she turned to head off away from the crowd to get some peace and quiet. Adjusting the quiver of arrows on her back, she gripped the bow lightly in hand and sighed. "But who in this world would actually be just and kind with all that power at their beck and call...." |
Elneri stood right next to her friend, she had met Lucifer along the way of leaving her house, after her uncle passed away. They had their differences, but, that was what made them friends in the first place. Elneri stood, noticing the crowd "Yeesh, lots of people huh, Luci?" Elneri spoke as she smiled a bit, she knew he hated it.
Lucifer scowled, "Don't.Call.Me.That" Elneri smiled as she moved along the way, "We need an easier way to get through" she frowned, she didn't liked things like this. They walked throughout the crowd, Lucifer's reputation suited him, and it was surely noticed that he himself killed his father. Most feared him because of that and so they moved out of the way, not all of them, but, some did, others glared at him. |
Eyes flicking over the faces, she tried to absorb some of the things that she caught sight of. "Hmm..... That's weird..." Mumbling to herself as she stopped to observe a particular pair that caught her interest. They didn't seem normal at first glance, and that was intriguing in a crowd of human's that were hurrying towards the castle.
Moving slowly towards the pair, her fingers tightened slightly around the bow and she tilted her head to get a better view through the gap in the crowd. Ears twitching slightly, Mairi's eyes narrowed in upon the bow that the female was carrying. A small squeak escaped her throat as she attempted not to drool over the craftsmanship that had been used to create something so unique looking. "Ooooh..... So nice looking..." Stopping she realized that her voice had been loud enough to carry in the crowd, but she hadn't realized how close she was. "Elves always have such amazing bows~" |
Elneri glanced over to where she heard the word 'Elves' she always did look over unless she would be stopped by Lucifer, who at the moment, was paying no attention to anyone around him. "Who said that?" she glanced around, hearing wasn't a strong point of hers, better than a human's, but, not better than most elves like herself.
"Who said what?" Lucifer asked watching his friend walk over to someone aimlessly, not saying a word about what she was doing. "Eli?" he asked once more, not a single reply as he watched her walk over to a female with cat like ears, though not a cat. "Ah!" she exclaimed not caring who all looked over "So cute!" as she felt one of the girl's ears without realizing what she was doing. She never thought about what she was doing until it happened. "Hm? Oh, sorry sorry, yours ears are just so cute and soft" she smiled. "Eli, stop that" Lucifer spoke to the blue hair elf "Stop what?" she asked cutely unsure of what she was speaking about "You're causing a scene" he stated "So are you" she stated back and they both stopped talking, but, Eli laughed a little. |
Eyes going wide, Mairi squeaked and stared up at the woman that was feeling one of her ears. "Oh my... Ummm.... Hello?" Giggling lightly as she squirmed to try and get free of the hand. "Whoops... Sorry... I get distracted by people's bows...and clothes... Very nice by the way." Commenting as she turned her eyes to the other person.
"Is this your friend sir?" She asked a little politely, attempting to try and seem good in the public's eyes as she looked towards the man that was with the elf. "I didn't mean to distract her if you guys were busy... I guess I saw the bow in that shop behind her and thought it was her's on accident." Giggling as she pointed in the direction it had been. |
"She is, what-" Lucifer was interrupted by Elneri kicking him in the ankle making him shut up "Excuse him, he's normally not a people person" she smiled. Lucifer scowled "Oh stop pouting" Elneri said to Lucifer "I'm not pouting!" sometimes Lucifer acted like a child and it was cute.
Elneri glanced over at the bow "ooh, that one is nice, I can't use bows. I never learned how" she laughed a little, she felt silly being an elf and couldn't do one of the most simple things en elf or anyone could do. Hold a bow, let alone use it. "Oh. I'm Elneri, you can call me Eli. This is Luci" Elneri smiled at the girl "It's not Luci!" Lucifer exclaimed adding "It's Lucifer" with that statement people behind them started whispering. "Um, you know what, why don't we keep moving" Elneri spoke as she stuck close to Lucifer not liking people staring. |
Nodding quietly, she tilted her head at the man and frowned as she saw what he meant about the people staring. "Okay... I understand what you mean there. It does feel weird when you start to attract attention." Smiling as she turned towards the castle and glanced back.
"So are you guys here about the information on the challenge for the throne?" Tilting her head, she wondered who they really were deep down and why they might come here. Upon coming to the big city, Mairi had only found the people who wanted the throne and the power that came with it for their own personal gain. |
Kanon looked about the small wooden cottage that she had lived in all her life this was the time she would now stand on her own two feet and leave, since her grandmother had passed it was saddening for her and she had no idea what was happening with in the world. It was part of her grandmothers plot to keep indoors and not know what was happening in the world. But this was needed Kanon needed to leave she knew for her self this change would be good for her. Gathering up all of her items then walking over to the door taking the heavy cloke and placed it on over her armor getting the swords place at her along with the small pouch.
Looking back this maybe the last time she would see home again. "Sayonara Obachan." then bowed headed out the door knowing they lived in the woods she would need to head out. She knew the land well knew of a city that here grandmother would go to get some items they would need. Making her way down the dirt path which took her long about way in a short while later she had made it to the main road started to walk down it to the castle town she had heard of. Bright blue eyes shined bright this was her first steps out side of the world and new start for her. Heading down the road keeping a well pace she would soon reach it in no time. Looking up seeing the sun was high it was clear it was noon maybe, she was not very sure but seeing it has taken her long while to she moved on getting to the town looking at all the people. Now being who she was she had no idea this many people could be here it was scaring her a little. "Oh. . . so many people. . . " she said to her self. |
Kate's Pace began to become faster her, She came to ignore her surroundings she wanted to be the first one to get there and the first one to leave, that would give her a decent chance to win this. I wonder how hard this is going to be, There are alot of people showing up and.... Kate's Thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her running into a girl with a cloak who had just stepped out onto the streets.
Kate stumbled backwards falling into a pile of discarded boards of wood and cutting her arm open. "Im so sorry!!" She said using her powers to create air current below her and pick her up to a standing position. "I was so focused on making it to the event that i forgot to watch where i was going" Kate rubbed the back of her head looking over at the girl to see if she was okay. |
A small soft squeak came from her as she tired hard to hold her self from changing into a fox she was holding it well but once the person in front of her started to move she lost it and changed into a fox everything she had falling to the ground the cloak covering her. "Ahhhh, oh no! Please don't hurt me! Or eat me! I am new to this town!" she cried curling up under her things trying to drag the swords closer and stuff everything in the small pouch she had.

Kate blinked for a few seconds, She had never seen magic like this before it interested her.. "How..Did.. you do that.."
Before She could even let the girl answer she dropped to her knees with a kind smile and honest eyes. "Don't worry I don't eat cute foxes it might mess with my karma" Kate giggled as she slowly backed away giving the fox space "Im sorry that I ran into you, I was just excited about the Challenge of the Throne, I didn't hurt you did I?" Kate's arm was bleeding from the cut she got in the fall onto the floor next to the Fox, but she ignored it she was more worried that she may have hurt the women she ran into. |
The small Fox was able to get the pouch to open as she placed the swords in along with the cloak she had then was able to place the pouch around her neck then sat up looking at the other, bright blue eyes looking at her some. "I-I am fine, I'm not hurt in any way. But, but you are hurt." as she tired to look inside the pouch to give something to the women. Once she found what she was looking over, Kanon moved closer to the person pulling out some berries crushing them smearing it all long the cut the pulled out some leaves to wrap the wound. Once she was done she bowed her head said a small prayer.
"That should make it heal better." she said to her nodded a little. "I hope you don't mind. . . ." as she took a few steps back, ears flickering some watching all the people. "So what is everyone here? I don't understand." |
Kate smiled at the girl foxes kindness though, Kate could have used her Earth Heal power to seal the wound and heal it she decided to just leave it how it was, It would seem rather rude to do that after all her hard work. "OH them? You didn't hear? The king has passed away and is throwing a competition to see who will take his place as the ruler of the world. So any and all battle ready warriors have gathered hear in order to join the competition " Kate smiled and pointed to the Rapier that was held along her hip in a scabbard. "I want to win to make this world a better place for people of all ages and race, that is my dream.."

The small fox listened but didn't understand anything. "There was a king? People are going to fight for his power?" she asked looking confused. "I don't understand. . . .this is the first time I have been outside on my own with out my grandmother. . . ." she said to the women as laid on the ground curled up her ears dropping to the side. This was the first ever she felt scared being out side like this. "You have a nice yume for the world. . . .but will the world like what you wish for them?" she asked.

Kate smiled as the girl explained how she was pretty much new to the world. "New to the world huh? Well I could always show you around, I mean i can't just let you get lost and in trouble can i?" Kate smiled gently picking up the fox in her arms and petting it. "Oh I hope you don't mind i just couldn't resist, As for my ideals Im sure that everyone can enjoy the idea of world peace.." Kate placed her back on the ground and looks toward the drawbridge. "Im heading to the competition now would you care to join me?"

Getting picked up and petted was something she didn't mind it was what her grandmother would do with her when she was smaller to calm her during heavy rain storms. "I don't mind, I like the feeling. . . .my, my grandmother would do it help me keep calm." she said looking to the other.
"People have ideal's just not everyone will follow them is what my grandmother would say. No matter how right you are others will think other wise." but nodded some to the other question that was asked. "Sure I can go with you, I don't mind." |
Kate giggled walking forward toward the Drawbridge with Kanon following her behind. "In a just word Opinions have to be present, Evil has to exsist, although Some may not like my ideals the idea of a just ruler is having the majority of people from the nation you rule stand by your side with unwavering loyality." Katie looked forward spacing off thinking to her self about what she had said, She believed in those words, She believed in her self and in the end that is what was most important.

Standing on the drawbridge, a slight breeze rustled his hair as he turned to check on his companion. "Hurry up already.... Geez Fuzzball... You're slower then ever today, what's wrong with you?" Growling as he narrowed the icy gaze upon the foxkin that walked just behind him. Hand loosening it's death grip on his staff, Jokull sighed and gave in to the tiny bit of kindness that he could show towards a young boy that did what he could. "Here Makani... Hand me the pack that has my stuff. You're already carrying enough as it is with all the stuff you claim you should keep." Grumbling slightly as he went back to cruel honesty.
Tensing slightly, his ears flicked back and a small whine came from his throat. Makani respected, yet feared the elf that practically towered over him. "B-b-b-ut... I'm good Jokull, it's just the crowd that's slowing me down, I promise." Glancing up at the castle before them, his hazel eyes flicked over the landscape and mapped out possible escape routes as he thought about any trouble the elf could cause with his unpredictable moods and use of ice. "Is this really a good idea? I mean... We could just get the information from someone else later...." |
Following the women, Kanon looked around at all the people blinking some trying to understand what everyone was doing if there ideals where the same or not but this was something she didn't think about cause she didn't think it would matter her in any way.

Elneri walked with Lucifer up the street where the others would gather to. They had already drawn attention to themselves and they didn't need to keep doing it anymore. Better than wandering around in black capes though, people would think they were totally freaks or something.
They caught up to the fox girl they saw earlier "Hey look, there's foxy" Elneri spoke as Lucifer sighed knowing she gave everyone a nickname like that. He was luci and now this girl was foxy. |
Stopping long enough to throw the bag that contained her items on the ground by one of the shop walls, Analeigh's eyes narrow in disgust at all the people and other races. If she didn't need to stock up on items she would end up needing during her trip, she would of bypassed this little town. Resting her staff against the wall, she plops down on the ground to rest, her auburn hair creating a wall to cover her eyes. Soon she would need to make more of her medicine to sell, glancing into the small pouch that held the little of the currency Lei had left to spend, she sighs.
Seeing children stop and stare at her as they made their way to market, Lei rolls her eyes and thinks of her.. accomplice.. yes, that was a good enough word to describe the raven haired girl she usually traveled with at times, Ele was the better of the two with children, Lei couldn't stand being around them, kids were like a curse put on this Earth. She heard people mentioning stuff about something happening at the Castle. Good for them. she thinks, leaning her head on her hands. She couldn't care less about the happenings in this town, once she got her supplies, she would be heading out. |
Jace walked silently amougst the crowd in his full armor, The Metal plated helmet covering his face, People stopped to stare in awe at his present. Have they never seen a Dragoon before? Jace ignored them as he made his way towards the shop area of the small town, It was there jace would look for the man or women he wish to follow, Or the other option of course Someone to hire his blade.
As jace came up to the market he noticed a women laying against a wall with a staff beside her glaring at small children as they passed by he walked to her carefully studying her movements he turned to look at the women. " I assume your taking the Quest for the Crown are you not, I care not of the crown but, I am offering my services to help those who wish for it, As long as I still get to be a mercenary while they Reign.." Kimiko stopped as she noticed the fox stop in her tracks looking around and blinking "Curious huh? There are alot of things in this world yet to see, Its kind of neat watching someone experince the world for there first time.... Oh! I forgot to introduce my self, Im Kate and you are?" She said smiling looking down at the fox |
Looking back at the women Kanon had forgotten to give her name. Her grandmother would be scolding her for that, of how rude it is to not introduce your self to another. "Oh! I am so sorry! My name is Kanon, but you can call me Kaonon chan, is what my grandmother would call me. You have a very lovely name." looking up at the women with her large blue eyes. "I-I was never really allowed to be outside on my own, my grandmother had me stay near our home. I was also home school till now." this was the reason she knew nothing of what was happening with in the world.

Lei's eyes flick to the person talking to her, "Do I look like I give a care about some throne?" she says in a bored tone, "I don't care what this country does or who they put on the throne."

Kimiko giggled looking down at the fox then smiling "Well, for someone who is nervous i think i might let you know that there aren't to many talking foxes in the world so that will get you stared out more, You do have a pretty name though Kanon I wish my name was as pretty as yours." Kimiko looked ahead to the drawbridge, The future seemed bright she had a traveling companion and a goal maybe she had something to look forward to after all
Jace looked down at the spiteful women, his teeth gritting underneath the helm. "Such an aweful attitude toward someone who was doing nothing but trying to offer you help" The man clucthed his lance tightly in his palm as he looked at her, This women got on his nerves and it wasn't common for that to happen.. |
Tyrial was riding ontop of Loki his eyes tired. Loki looked up at Tyrial and his ears flicked a bit "Tired master?" he questioned. Tyrial blushed and nodded yawning he laid forward onto Loki "can we find a place to rest?" He asked scratching behind Loki's ear. Loki looked forward and sniffed the air "I can smell people do you feel it is safe?" loki didn't like bringing tyrial near people due to his battered past but he had a weakness for the young boy. Tyrial nodded his eyes trying to stay open his stomach then growled.
Loki's ears perked "Hungry master?" he then picked up his pace they had not eaten in a few days and he had to feed Tyrial he had took the responsibility of him from his old masters. Tyrial nodded blushing from his stomach noises "is town close?" loki looked forward and nodded heading on. |
Lei smirks, "Plucked a chord, have I?" she stands up, her skirts falling around her ankles, her expression emotionless, "And this is me being nice." She plucks up her items and brushes past Jace.

"Huh pretty? It's not that great, my grandmother gave it to me when I was born." she said looking around at the people. "I guess you are right people are not used to this I guess. . . .can we go some where I can change back with out people watching me?" as she looked around at all the people again.

Jace smirked and laughed as the women brushed by thinking she had the upper hand. "Oh, I see your one of those people who do nothing but run from there problems. Your nothing but a child, A immature child at that." Jace stabbed his lance into the ground sitting next to it and leaning against the pole that connected them together.
Kate giggled and picked the fox up quicky running to an alleyway where there were no people. "You should be okay here ill go look out." Kate made her way to the end of the alley looking around the streets making sure no one dared to go down to the end where kanon was. |
Jace smirked and chuckled as the women brushed by him like a hethen as she thought she had the upper hand. "Oh, i see you are one of those people who runs from there problems constantly never making anything of there life, Your nothing more than a child and quiet honestly im glad i didn't side with you." Jace stabbed his lance into the ground and sat infront of it leaning against the pole that held the lance togehter.
Kate giggled and nodded gently picking the fox and her things up, making her way down to the end of an alleyway and setting her down "This should be a good spot ill go lookout" Kate ran to the end of the alley and watch around as people passed by not letting a single soul go towards the alley. |
Looking about the area seeing how no one would be able to see her, moving her gaze down to Kate to make sure no one was going to come this way, it seemed okay. Closing her eyes as a blue light covered her body as she started to changed back from her fox forum into her human shape. Taking the pouch from around her neck, quickly placing the cloak back on, removing the the sword tieing them to where they need to be along with the pouch at her hip. Once all done heading back over to where kate was Kanon spoke to her. "Thank you, Kate, is this better?" she asked.

Lei stops at that comment, her eyes flick back at Jace and narrowed, "Oh?" a cruel smirk crosses Lei's face as she turns to look at him, "Your not really in a position to judge me, boy cause if I'm not mistaking, if I'm a child, than what are you?" her lip curls in disgust, "And for your information, I don't run from my problems cause I tend not to get around the things that like to create problems and if that doesn't give you a clue." she gestures around them, "And that includes assholes like you."

It wasn't long before Loki had gotten into town with a sleeping Tyrial on back. loki woke him gently "master..wake up.." he cooed. Tyrials head rose and he blinked his stomach growling once more he jumped off loki his small tired body tumbling. Loki quickly faded into Tyrial's locket. Tyrial was in the center of a town. his eyes automatically hitting the ground he was to shy.

Mairi glanced back curiously at the elf and smiled. "Oh hey.... Sorry I got distracted by something, but I don't know what it was now." Sighing as she frowned and turned slowly to look at the castle. "Yes... Well... Are you guys here to see the castle? Or are you here for the throne challenge?" Smirking, she turned slowly to look at Lucifer and nodded, ears flicking back.
Jokull sighed and took his bag from the foxkin before handing the wallet over. "Go get something to eat, and I'll meet you at the other end of the drawbridge after I get the information I need." Smiling as he nudged the boy off and headed away. Makani frowned and shook his head. "Fine... I guess I'll do that." Mumbling as he turned slowly to go see what he could find. Eyes flicking over the small signs that told of delectable foods, his stomach rumbled softly. "Ooooh.... What should I get. I don't know what even sounds good." Speaking to himself, the boy wasn't paying attention, well that is until he ran straight into another person. Falling to the ground, he gasped and jumped up. "Oh! I'm sorry about that! Please forgive me!" Bowing deeply as he hurried to offer a hand to help the green haired elf up. "I wasn't paying attention... That was my fault. Are you okay?" |
Kate nodded at the sight of the now human kanon and giggled as she patted Kanon's head. "You look cute, You'll fit in just fine! Shall we make our way to the Castle now? I mean of course if you're still wanting to follow little ol' me around." Kate winked at Kanon as she giggled and made her way toward the drawbridge once more.
Jace smirked at the remark not even giving her the courtesy to look at her,"Simple you are the child and I am the Mature adult, And unlike you i know when to watch my mouth, Lest it get torn out by such a magnificent Dragoon like myself." Jace stood up and pulled his lance from the ground looking still away from the girl "Now move along little one before i decide to pull your voice box out from where it now resides." |
A dark grin comes across Lei's face hearing that but she had no interest in taking it any further, "Your just as blind as the rest of our race, you think just because someone is different than you in opinions, they are not the same. Cause of that, I feel nothing more than pity for you." she turns to continue on her way before pausing, "And I'm not a child, I have seen more of the darker side of this life than you will ever see, I simply choose not to get involved in human affairs anymore. Or maybe next time before you pass judgement, you will try to get to know your subject a little bit better, cause other blood mages would not be so willing to walk away from this as I am."
With that, Lei continues toward her destination, not caring what the dragoon thought of her response, like it mattered one bit to her. She had spoken the truth, besides Ele and the other races she interacted with only when she had no choice than to enter a village to sell her medicines or gather supplies, she was pretty much a loner. No one had ever taken the time to understand Gypsies before and she didn't expect that change, her scars were not ones that were on her body that just healed as time went by. No, her scars were on her soul and that took longer to heal.. |
Kanon looked at the women nodded. "I will follow you, if you do not mind." she said with a smile. "I still do not really understand what is happening but I would like to travel with someone I know, that is kind enough to put up with me." she said walking with the older women.

Elneri shrugged "It's fine" she smiled, she knew she was giving off a carefree attitude, it was what she wanted, she liked it when people underestimated her. They would normally think she is a child or liked to be one. Elneri was going to speak, but, Lucifer spoke next "Why else would we be here wasting our time?" Elneri frowned, he was so unsociable, except to her, and she understood somewhat of why. "Throne challenge" Elneri smiled as she stated the obvious. Lucifer raised an eyebrow, like 'oookay' kind of look. Though she wasn't as annoying at first as Elneri had been, Elneri would refuse to leave him alone, and that's how they stayed friends thought out their travels.

Jace smirked and laughed even more knowing that he had pushed her buttons,as she walked away he looked directly at her with a ignorant look amoungst his face. "Thats right women, Know your place make your way back to the kitchen." Jace spun around and began walking the other way towards the main city and where he was told the crowd was at.
Kimiko giggled and shook her head in disagreement at the statement about putting up with her. "What do you mean? Your not intolerable at all, Its actually kind of fun to be your little tour guild to the world anyways" Finally made it to the edge of the bridge and looked over at the guards. "Hey me and her are going to the castle for the event is that okay?" The guard grunted and nodded as he swung his arm toward the drawbridge as if offering to let them go down it. "Thank you!" Kimiko said as she giggled and walked down the Drawbridge toward the Castle, Soon, the task would be started and this place would be a full out war. A war for the Crown.. |
