Best Halloween movies of ALL TIME?
 

So, Halloween is fast approaching, and since I don't have cable, I wanna know what you guys think.

Every year, I watch a TON of Halloween movies, spanning from family movies, to horror. I have some of the basics, ya know, like, the Halloween Town movies, Hocus Pocus, all the tum burton films... I'm not a HUGE fan of movies like "Halloween" Mike Myers and such...

So.. any suggestions? And what are some of YOUR favorites?

I LOVE Hocus Pocus XD I haven't seen it in years, but it was absolutely the first thing to come to mind when I saw the thread title. I don't really like all-out horror movies either and have a really low gore tolerance...

I just love Halloween! Scary movies are the best! I haven't really had the time to watch any on the tele yet, but I do hope to soon!

I love hocus pocus but not as much as Halloween tree. I loved that cartoon!

xD I like watching Hocus Pocus and even though it is not a Halloween movie, I like watching The Witches well most Ronald Dahal books made into movies creep me out. >.> Especially the old willy wonka, but the witches is more appropriate for Halloween.

Oh, I love the book The Halloween Tree... I remember that I saw the movie but I don't really remember it very well. The book is Ray Bradbury though, who was just an amazing author.

I noticed that Netflix has Dracula: Dead and Loving It on their list of "Halloween favorites". I used to watch that with my friends all the time when we were teenagers XD It's a stupid, STUPID movie but it's pretty hilarious too.

Especially if you can get the special edition with the short, "Vincent."

i watch some of the older movies that are black and white. pretty much a horror film junkie in october the rest of the time i don't really watch horror movies.

Every Halloween I watch "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Obviously TNBC, but it's been said many times. I've watched it every year since its 1993 release, without fail.

Can't say I wasn't disappointed with that one a Lil bit.

Only reason I forgot, is because Zane usually has all our movies ready for us for the month. An its not one of my moms favroites, just myself, Zane, and my sister. xD;

I would do terrible things to Tim Curry if he dressed like that.

I need to watch that show again. I've only seen it once, though a local theater here does to the whole dress-up, toast, fancy show thing. Not sure I'd ever be brave enough to actually go.

Nightmare before christmas is the first one i watch, then i watch the either the halloween movies or friday the 13th movies. i then inbetween watching those i watch some of the cartoon movies like scary godmother 1-2, dear dracula, and the halloween tree.

Some of my favorite movies to watch around this time of the year would be... Fright Night, Grotesque, Grave Encounters, Greystone Park, REC, The Devil Inside, The Shine, The Innskeeper, Hostel, Don't be Afraid of the Dark, Black Christmas, and I found a new movie that I found out about last week called Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. I found out this movie was actually really good.

Speaking of Tim Curry, has anyone seen The Worst Witch? XD It's actually pretty terrible but Tim Curry has this ridiculous scene where he sings an also-ridiculous song with hilariously awful bluescreen effects.

in the movie vampires suck the part were jasper look at bella and see's her head as a giant hamburger.
