White Cliffs of Dover

He could hear the rumbling of the thunder in the distance, and a glance to the sky earned him a flash of lightning that tore the sky in two pieces as if it had been dropped and shattered like a piece of glass. In a moment the sky righted itself once more before the tremble of the resounding thunder tore him in two instead. Already the waves were growing strong and could be heard as well as seen as they crashed against the rocky cliffs that peaked out into the ocean, which only deflected the water as a white mist.

The multitude of sounds that echoed through the air and over the sea sent a rough shudder through him, and it nearly made him drop his plate into the sink or to the floor where it would have broken as the sky did, though it would not be mended. He made the decision that he would finish up the dishes before the storm got any worse lest he break any of the dishes or leave any soiled ones in the sink to be cleaned once the rain passed.

He nearly jumped out of his skin as he felt the soft caress of his cat winding between his legs in a search for food or attention, and he could only assume both with the soft meow the older cat gave him. Looking out the windows once again to see the thousands of ripples that bounced off of the surface of the water as the rain began to fall, he decided to batten the window down with the old weathered shutters before closing the window and seeking refuge with the cat in the old cellar.

littl3chocobo 10-23-2012 05:30 PM

this day is the day

he knew it was time, for a turtles life he had been waiting for the slow branch of his fins to split and the fine membrane over his eyes to thin so that the deepest plunges were no longer allowed and he was stuck in the shallows with the other adolescents all of whom like he were waiting to go into the next stage of life and mingle with the airbreathers before ascending to adulthood. he could feel the disturbance of the underworld as he descended into the light and noise of the surf below. it was time

Honey 10-24-2012 01:47 AM

He was hardly able to keep the cat with him before she spotted a mouse skittering across the floor and he was left to his own devices to wait out what he felt was going to be a long afternoon. From where he sat he was able to see the light of the midday sun that inevitably shone through the clouds to some degree, even in a storm such as that one. As it fluctuated while accommodating the rivulets of water that ran across the window’s panes, he could only figure the storm was still in full swing.

The sound could still be heard, even the shutter of thunder making its own impact in the small space, and the gentle pattering of rain could be heard overhead and it left him wondering whether or not the cellar was beneath the house or his garden. This, of course, led him to grow worrisome that he left a window open upstairs, and leaving the cat to herself he climbed the stairs to worriedly check the windows.

Checking had become worth the bother as he saw one of the windows open a smidgen while the shutters had become unhooked and batted around uselessly in the gusts of wind. in a hurry, he rushed over to close the shutters when his attention was no longer focused on the spray of water that threatened to enter his home, but the pale body that lounged in his garden while he seemed to be singing.

“Sir,” The other seemed to absorbed in the sweet lyrics that fell from his lips, and he could admit he did not particularly wish for the other to cease his singing either. However, more pressing matters were at hand. “Excuse me!” He howled out that is rang above the sound of the wind and song, “it is storming, you should not be outside!”

littl3chocobo 10-24-2012 04:01 AM

only a few high bars were wove into the music of the water that beat hard across his bare shoulders before he found his human and still singing he turned towards it to catch it in his song

Honey 10-24-2012 04:30 AM

He could feel a chilling shiver down his spine as the other turned to face him, and he was unsure if it was the chilling look of the nearly white eyes, or the high pitched notes that the other sung to him. Neither he wanted to believe, and instead of letting his mind fall susceptible to such things that hardly seemed real, he credited it to the mist that now had his clothes were now heavy with the rain that blew through his window and the ocean's gust made him freezing cold.

"You're an idiot, you know that?" He questioned to the other, but he hardly thought that the strange man was so much as listening to him. "If you're not going to make an effort to get out of dangerous weather you can go find someone else to pity you and shelter you from the storm."

He found the other to be close enough that if he stretched out his arm he could touch, and while at first it was entirely against his best judgement to touch a naked man inside of his garden who was truly beginning to look like someone without their mind, he reached anyway. It was credited to the water that his skin was so slick, but being able to get a hand on the shoulder, he gave a little shake to keep the other from singing.

littl3chocobo 10-24-2012 04:36 AM

the touch was a warmth like pain and comfort and he was pulled from his enchantment as much by the feel of it as by the arm that pulled him. as he was dragged from his place he stared up at his human and let the image imprint upon his mind

Honey 10-24-2012 05:17 AM

He easily could have done without the staring, but as the other seemed so oblivious to the fact that he was being rescued by a storm such as that he figured that it would not matter. What did matter, however, was the fact they were both dripping wet, the stranger more than himself, and for the sake of his floors, the boy worried.

Battening down the shutters and the windows he took a once over of the man, finding him completely bare--much to his chagrin--and so pale he would have assumed he'd never seen the sun, but took the step of holding out a hand to signal to the other to remain where he was. "Stay," He made eye contact in hope that the other could understand him, and when he was self satisfied that he thought he got his message across he left the strange man to scrounge up a few towels.

littl3chocobo 10-24-2012 01:43 PM

it was so dry down below the water before but now it was as if the world had gone inverse and the strange sensation left his skin in tingles. he waited however for his human to return and did not balk or flee as it worsened the dry with it's cloth. he did his best to allow it and instead took the abuse as proof of the stories of his elders that spoke of times when they too walked and lived with their human hosts until they time came for them to return

Honey 10-24-2012 04:23 PM

The other had not spoken a single word, and thus far it was fine with him, but he was truly unsure if he should have invited the man into his home or not. Dropping the towel he used on the other to the floor, and using his foot he began sopping up the remnants of the storm while he could begin to feel the cling of his shirt to his soaked chest.

"What is your name, and why were you out in the storm like that?" Picking up the towel he found his floor to be dry enough, and he used what dry part he could find to dry himself as best he could. "This isn't just a misting, it's worse then that."

littl3chocobo 10-25-2012 12:08 AM

he was not sure of a name just yet and so said nothing. it was not that he had not thought of one, he had many he liked and most were quite nice in his own feelings but none seemed right for what his human would fall for and without any certainty he had nothing. carefully however, in a manner he had practiced he rolled his shoulder and slid several of his finger through his locks and stared in his most alluring fashion at the human

Honey 10-25-2012 11:31 AM

The look reminded him of what some of the people in town gave him when he was running errands and the like, and so he was unsure how to feel when it was a complete stranger giving him the same look. He decided that it was not right, and he contemplated the man that stood in his living room. "Can you even speak, or are you only humoring me by listening to me ask all of these questions?"

littl3chocobo 10-25-2012 11:44 PM

it was a nice choice and one he had not contemplated. shrugging he said nothing, it was not that he could not speak but if he said nothing then it would be nearly the same thing until he was ready to come up with a name for the human

Honey 10-26-2012 12:21 AM

He was not kind in his staring at the man while he tried to gauge whether he understood or if he only knew how to shrug. With his eyes narrowed and eyebrows furrowed together he decided on the former before he gave a shrug of his own before he stalked off towards his bedroom to rid of the towels.

"You are too big to fit in any of my clothes, and I am being kind letting you stay here through the storm," He deposited the towels in a hamper before he tried to rummage through his drawer of undergarments to produce a pair of boxers that were much too big on him. "You can stay the night, or at least until the weather blows over, but tomorrow you can go into town and maybe find someone you know." Stepping free of the bedroom, he flung the shorts at the man, "I would ask you where you are from, but you do not speak."

littl3chocobo 10-26-2012 12:35 AM

he was distracted from the words as fabric was flung at him and confused he watched it fall to the floor though when it had settled he merely stepped over it on his way to the human. if he only had a night to figure out how to bewitch then there was little time to waste standing

Honey 10-26-2012 12:52 AM

He watched with partial curiosity and distrust when the clothes were ignored and left on the floor, and as the man approached he was left taking a step back before the distance was closed and a forceful hand on his shirt brought their lips together in a crushing kiss.

Hands lifted to press against the smooth, bare chest in an act to push the stranger away, but the kiss felt so good and the lips tasted delicious with the way they tasted like the sea. For a moment he allowed himself to melt against the other, but when he realized who the other was and where they were he jerked back and shoved the stranger away.

littl3chocobo 10-26-2012 01:02 AM

he was certain he was swaying the human until the creature stopped responding and attacked him. as he was pushed back he felt a pain and his new legs betrayed him. as he fell a surprised bark left him and he bounced against the ground. looking up he gave the human a plaintive look

Honey 10-26-2012 01:09 AM

In and of himself, he was shocked that he had used such strength to push the other away, but he countered his own emotions with the fact that the stranger would not have known it was coming. Self-consciously he crossed his arms over his chest and turned away as his cheeks burned in shame.

"You don't just go up and kiss someone like that..." He caught another glimpse of the pitiful look he was being given, and tensing he could begin to feel himself feeling sorry. He tried to keep himself offended as he spoke. "Look, it isn't every day I have someone in my home who forces themselves on me. Even if you don't speak you should know better."

littl3chocobo 10-26-2012 01:34 AM

he was confused. kissing was one of the swiftest ways to sway a human and he had been told often what power the mouth contained. still he had nothing to say though. to defend himself would be to give himself away and he had no wish to do that. reaching out he sought out the fabric and held it aloft

(he will try again and better though from the floor XD)

Honey 10-26-2012 02:57 AM

He remained torn over his reaction to the man, and as the boxers were lifted he took it as a flag of surrender. He stared for a moment to see if the other was in earnest, and when he decided he truly was sorry he closed the distance between them. An arm outstretched to take the silky fabric proved to be just enough that the other needed to take a hold of his shirt once more, sending him into awaiting arms while those same salty lips pressed against his own.

His attempts to struggle free from the arms were fruitless, their meager appearance doing them no justice for the strength they held beneath him, and instead he was forced to succumb to the kisses until he felt that he actually desired more. Like jelly he oozed into the lap, allowing his body to fluidly come to rest against the other's while the lips began to trail away, leaving him with the salty aftertaste on swollen lips. Running his tongue along his plump bottom lip to taste the other again, he could feel those same lips on his neck instead, and relaxing against the body he let out a soft murmur. "What are you doing to me to make me want this so bad?"

littl3chocobo 10-26-2012 03:02 AM

he almost did not hear it's words, lost as he was, in the delicious taste of the sweet flesh. lightly he licked at it and finding his hunger moved nibbled on the spot he had found before he could remember he was not to eat the human yet. pressing a kiss to the spot he twisted his face to meet the human's and have a low purr of pleasure

Honey 10-26-2012 03:12 AM

The vibration of the purr sent a shiver down his spine, and he had to keep himself from pressing any closer despite his desire for more kisses. "We shouldn't be doing this, I don't know you." He was not entirely positive he said the words for ow quiet they were among the silence of the house and the dying storm outside, but he looked into the eerily pale eyes before he shuddered again. "You should let me go."

littl3chocobo 10-26-2012 05:01 AM

he finally found a reason to speak though he had no wish to do so just yet and so the 'why' did not leave his lips, instead he tried to convey the question through coquettish looks and a soft hum

(if you can give him a good reason he will though if not you will get words)

Honey 10-26-2012 03:19 PM

The arms remained wound around him, keeping him resting there despite his not entirely subtle hint that he should be freed, and when they other silently questioned why his shoulders rolled into a shrug. "You are a strange man I found in my garden during a storm, you do not know who I am, and we have been making out on my floor. It is not something I do with anyone, stranger or otherwise." His arms found a place to rest on their side of the other, and pushing up he tried to gently free himself without having to shove the man instead.

littl3chocobo 10-26-2012 09:17 PM

it made sense and led him to believe he had found a defective human to learn from. letting his arms fall free he allowed it to escape his hold and stand free. offering a sad look he stood as well though he did not move after. even if his human was broken he would at least try to give it a chance, it tasted quite good afterall and there was a fair chance if he had to start over the next would not be so desirable to eat after

Honey 10-30-2012 08:02 PM

What he was expecting he was unsure of, but as they both stood he could not help but taking the moment to look at the bare body just in case he would not see it again once morning came and the other left. he was left with desirable feelings, but he could not act on them.

"You can sleep on the couch there," Lifting his hand he loosely gestured to the piece of furniture in conversation, "I can fetch you an extra blanket from the linen closet. You ought to put on those boxers I gave you. You know, since you're kind of naked."

littl3chocobo 10-30-2012 11:40 PM

he looked over to the strange nest when it was painted to though it did not look like anything to sleep in but when the fabric was once more brought up he paid no more mind. his knowledge of how to apply the fabric was at best lacking and he had been told many times not to do things that would give him away, instead he remained still and staring in the hopes that the human would understand he would not

Honey 10-31-2012 10:35 PM

It felt as though it were nothing more than the two of them staring awkwardly as the silky fabric laid on the ground and neither moved away nor closer. Unable to look at the eerie face with those pale eyes, he turned away and started for the closet just outside of the kitchen. "You are a strange man. You do not speak and do not clothe yourself."

"If I were crazy I would think that you do not know how to dress yourself, but that is merely me being silly."
From the closet, he gathered up the small bundle of a soft, yet heavy blanket that assured nothing but warmth from it's tight woven pattern that made it as beautiful as it made it warm. "I believe the rest of the night, the storm will calm and this weather is only good for reading and sleep. Here." He offered the smooth fabric with a look that did not give much of his emotion away. "I will be down the hall, all the way at the end, and the bathroom is the first door on the right. You can get me if you need anything."

littl3chocobo 10-31-2012 11:18 PM

this time the human waited until he had taken the fabric though this one was less complicated than the last and he managed to manipulate it so that he had it around his shoulders. in that time the human had thought to leave and quickly he followed after

Honey 10-31-2012 11:39 PM

Upon crossing the doorway into his room, with slight effort to close the door behind him at least a smidgen, the boy stripped away his still wet and itchy clothes until he was merely wearing his boxer briefs, and he remembered how chilly is still was. In a fluid motion, he moved forward to delve underneath the soft comforter that was still mussed as it laid atop his mattress.

He was followed by another body that dipped the bed ever so slightly, and his mind first went to the idea that his cat had come up from the cellar to sleep as well. "Did Aces want some lovin's before bed? You did really good catching those rats in the cellar- oh my god, you are not my cat!" The sensation of a warm thigh against his own made him nearly jump out of his skin and out of the bed as he turned to find the man having followed him. "What the fuck! You were supposed to be sleeping in the living room!"

littl3chocobo 10-31-2012 11:42 PM

the words confused him at first though as it's volume rose he felt compelled to let go of the fabric and cover his ears with his hands. it did not feel good at all and he closed his eyes as well until it stopped

(he looks to be in a lot more pain than he is but that is because his face was so blank before)

Honey 11-01-2012 12:25 AM

The image of the face contorting into a look of sharp pain, and he took a moment to breath out his surprise and frustration already forming with the strange man. He waited patiently until the hands dropped from fragile ears and the pale eyes opened to look at him again. "Why did you follow me into my bedroom? You were supposed to sleep on the couch, not in my bed." For a moment he stood and stared until he remembered the other did not speak, and instead he shook his head. "I forgot you do not talk. Did you not want to sleep in the living room, or is there another reason that you followed me?"

littl3chocobo 11-01-2012 02:23 AM

even if he was speaking to it he could not find a way to articulate that his reasons were both a mistrust of the nest he was offered and a desire to be by the human's side but neither were why he followed. blankly he stared and hoped that it did not ask anymore questions he could offer no answers to

(keep chatting and it is molesting time to hush you up)

Honey 11-01-2012 03:39 AM

It was another moot moment of staring as neither of them spoke and he was left trying to decide how to respond. Looking around he deemed that they were alone, and turning back to look at the other, the boy furrowed his brows. Squinting his eyes in an effort to seem scary, it only ended in him looking squished and blurrier, and he decided against trying to look intimidating again. "I am going to so find my cat before I go to bed, but you should really go lay on the couch. The only one who shares my bed with me is Aces."

(He will turn and leave the room without saying much more.)

littl3chocobo 11-01-2012 03:47 AM

he did not understand who aces was and was not certain it was not whatever the 'cat' was. making sure to take the fabric as well he slid from the human's nest to follow behind

Honey 11-01-2012 03:59 AM

Only a step or two down the stairs and he could hear the echoing squeak of the weathered boards of his new ghost, but he did not turn around to confirm his thoughts. The swish of the blanket as it lightly lipped over the edge of the stairs was enough for him, and so attention was focused on the search for his original friend instead. A soft coo of the name produced the showing of green eyes from beneath an old shelf, and continued coaxing produced the feline who was proud and eager to be petted.

The ball of fat and fur was scooped up in his arms as he turned to find himself looking at the man since he followed, and looking between the cat and the other, he decided there ought to be an introduction. "Stranger, this is Aces. Aces, meet the stranger." he stretched out his arms as best he could without jostling the cat too much, but it proved to be fruitless as he saw a tongue flick out to lick at a hungry maw before a sharp claw slashed out for green tinged skin.

littl3chocobo 11-01-2012 04:02 AM

whatever it was it sent a shock of fear through him which was quickly validated as it attacked him and a burst of pain went through his exposed hand. jerking back he let out a hiss of his own

Honey 11-01-2012 04:18 AM

The stranger showed a face nearly prepared to fight back with the cat for its assault when he looked at him, and clutching his cat closer he turned away while he tried to decide how to play the median. Already he was questioning his choice as he felt sharp claws digging into his arm and the spit of the hissing cat that he could feel against his cheek. "Come on, play nice, Aces. And you," Prying the cat free of his arm, he tossed her to the ground where she skittered and disappeared into the heavy cover of shadows that stretched across the ground with a feral growl and another hiss, "Go upstairs before she tries to give you more than a scratch. Go." Waving his arms, he ushered the other towards the stairs.

littl3chocobo 11-01-2012 04:21 AM

there was little need for it to wave it's arms at him and without any further hesitation he let the fabric fall and fled up to the safety of the human's bed though he keep his ears tuned for the unexpected return of the aces-cat

Honey 11-01-2012 09:25 PM

Luckily, in his momentary pause at the stairs to fetch the blanket from the floor he was not ambushed by the cat--though he did not linger on the stairs and impatiently fled upstairs to avoid more than the scratches he earned on his arms. As a last minute thought, his mind fled to closing the cellar door so as not to have any midnight attacks, but he decided against it, and instead nudged the door shut just a smidgen before fleeing for the bedroom.

Upon entering the dark room, he could make out the other hiding beneath his comforter, and calmly coming over he reached for the edge of the blanket to pry it away. "She is not usually so mean, but she managed to get her claws into you. Let me see your hand. I can give you some band-aids to fix it up."

littl3chocobo 11-01-2012 09:42 PM

he did not understand what that meant but that he was no longer being threatened by the small beast was enough that he complied and held out his arm for the human to see
