Pirates of The Carribean 5?

I saw on IMDB that there will be a POTC 5 (and a rumored 6th). But what else is left to really make a movie on? They did leave the thing about the son of Will Turner hanging. There is also the issue of Barbosa vs Sparrow; Does the legend between them continue?

What do you think?

Arikana 11-18-2012 02:16 AM

The Turners are out of the series. Period.
I doubt William and Elizabeth's son will be involved in any future ones.

Regarding the fifth movie, "PoTC 5: Beyond The Seas World", but what it'll be about?
*shrugs*
They'll probably just take pirate stories from history and use those as a basis for future movies like they did with PoTC 4: On Stranger Tides.

Hehe this is what I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65NkAKfB3BY

"You know that feeling you get when you've done three huge movies and a franchise and your really excited to do a fourth?... I don't have that feeling."

Well I have no idea what its about but no doubt my friend will want to see it.

POC is actually based on an old Book series I can't quite remember the name of it, But I read it when i was 16-17 and there is alot more they need to mention..

Here it is i believe not sure..

Actually, if you read, or even scanned, that Wikipedia article, you'd see that the movies aren't based on it. The books were written after the movies and they take place in a time /before/ the first movie. It's basically about Jack Sparrow /before/ he became a captain and a pirate. :3

It was based on the concept Disney came up with for one of it's rides......if I remember right. Or something like that....Disney spawned the original idea.

Anyways, wouldn't mind seeing another one when it came out, just curious what they would make it on.

I agree, Alpha. I'm just curious as to what we'll go on as the next adventure. The first movie was based on the ride at the Disney park (I forget which park has it though). I'm just not sure where else they could go with this line.

The only reason I suggested that the son of Will Turner takes part is because at the end of one of them, it shows Will returning to Elizabeth and the child ten years later, standing at the edge of a cliff. It would be odd that they wouldn't eventually bring him back in because of that scene. Usually companies don't put them in for no reason.

It could just be to close up that specific storyline. Show that there's more than one reason for Will to return to Elizabeth. One he didn't know about at the time.

owo

We'll see how it turns out though....

It does sound decent.

Curse it being so far out. I want to know now.

On Stranger Tides was based on a novel that did not have Jack Sparrow in it but apparently the scriptwriters figured they could adapt it to fit their established world/characters. I have neither read the novel nor seen the movie though.

I loved the first one, liked the second a lot, and felt the third was... not terrible, but didn't live up to the expectations of the second. (I mean, they never really even explained why Barbossa was back from the dead beyond a really vague "Tia Dalma did it I guess", and all the stuff in Singapore ended up being totally pointless...)

I didn't really intentionally avoid the fourth one. Just never got around to seeing it.

Seems like it could certainly be interesting, now a matter of seeing how well they follow through on it.
