Links on the homepage.

I'm often having an issue with the links on the sidebar on the home page....they take me to this:

Quote:

Espy, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Could someone help with this, or....is it just me?

The event forum got archived away so you can't get to those threads anymore. We haven't updated the news yet.

I can get to the threads via the archive forum in the index, Coda. Are we not supposed to have read-only permissions there?

When I tested it, the link that didn't work was the event announcement from the announcements forum that was recently pruned?

Coda 10-05-2010 08:53 PM

You're... completely right; that IS a publicly-visible section of the boards. And in fact that link works for my test user AND when logged out, so... this IS a puzzle. Which link isn't working?

Edit: Oh, yeah, the grand opening contest winners thread IS over in the admin section for our reference.

Thanks for the clarification, Coda. Sorry I wasn't more specific. XP

Is the link over here supposed to not work too...?

The grand opening quests and contests are over. If you haven't seen the winners yet, check out the announcement thread.

That thread has been moved to a section of the site that we do not have permissions to see, Espy. Therefore, the link won't work for us. :3

Coda 10-05-2010 09:01 PM

That's the link that I said doesn't work, yes. The "Toamna Festival" link should still work.

Sei 10-05-2010 09:04 PM

Every link on that page, minus the one noted, works here, Coda. :3

Ah, okies. Sorry >.<
