No base Avatars are Legal?

The people always in the left hand corner, and on the home page as well. I was curious as to who exactly are they?

I was also curious if it is not accepted that you make an avatar without a base. I was toying around with that on my mule even though the majority of items cannot be worn when you do not have base it's fun for me to try out the challenge that poses.

The people are future shop NPCs, I think.

That what I surmised too. But I'd really love to know for sure...and maybe a name and/or their bios? <3

Pandora (In the Green, we get to wear her clothes) is a shop NPC. The rest are story NPCs. The chick in the blue is Trisiana, the guy in the red is Marcus. on the home page, the girl in the front is Sarya (you're wearing her sash right now), the girl in purple is Eliza, and the guy in brown is Vayne. We don't know a lot about them yet. Eliza is a child mechanic genius.

ooh thanks Lucid -nods- :3
Out sheer curiosity (which is probably annoying) how do you know this?

ps I love your avatar color choice <3 Over all I rate it 8 cause it's cool but I feel like it's missing something =( (other than the unimportant nose xD)

Lucid: 10-08-2010 02:12 AM

because they're all right here! XD
We got a couple plot teasers during closed beta, but I never saved them so all I have to go by is my memory. I have a pretty good knack for remembering a lot of the information though.

ugh facebook
Pandora is looking pretty sexy though rawr >w>

ooh I can't wait to see them implement a story with the NPCs! >w<

The no base thing has been in and out of debate. Not all of our items look good without a base because when we started the site we did not have the coding to have one item on two layers. It caused a problem. That being said we will be implementing this soon but with all the items we would have to pixel more to it would be extremely hard for us to redo them. So its a possibility in the future but for the moment it is not.

I wouldn't ask the staff to try and make old items look good without a base =O All that other stuff I couldn't understand I'm assuming is where you were explaining why some stuff couldn't be equipped? -rhetorical question-

I was just curious if I could anyway so I guess for the time being I can that's a nice thing to hear. =) Thanks Fenris and Lucid ^_^

Actually I think you can equip unisex stuff without a base. But because you have no gender some things can't be equipped.
