Nintendo Announces a Pokemon Fighter!

Those who watched the Pokemon Origin trailer may have noticed a quick shot of two HD pokemon, (Lucario and Blaziken), Nintendo recently announced that they're working on a Pokemon fighting game!

This was my first guess when I saw it but I didn't expect it to be right. Apparently the game is also a crossover, Nintendo said a while back that they're interested in doing more of these when they announced Fire Emblem X SMT but I don't know what it's a crossover with so we'll see.

In the meantime what playable pokemon do you want to see? And what franchises would this be a good crossover with?

I'd love to see my favorite pokemon ever, Tyranitar, but I kinda doubt that, my other favorite, Zoroark, would be a more likely choice.

As for other franchises, my first guess is Street Fighter.

Nintendo hasn't announced anything yet, Gamefreak (The company that makes all the Pokemon Games) said that the HD shot of Lucario and Blaziken was conceptual meaning it was like the Zelda Wii U Tech Demo, they were just showing off what a HD Pokemon game would look like.

But Nintendo DID register the trademarks of Pokken Fighters, while we still don't know what this is, we do know that Gamefreak was opened to the idea of doing another crossover with a different game because of how well Pokemon Conquest turned out. Or this could easily be a independent game entirely. We still don't know if Pokken Fighters is a actual fighting game, for all we know it might just be some weird gimmick that doesn't relate to a tournament fighting game in any way.

Ah, it seems I was misinformed. Still an exciting thing to think about.

It may have been Pokemon X and Y that you saw? Cause that is a "crossover" with Pokemon stadium.
