If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
So. I was suppose to go to Japan and it looks like I won't be able to afford it. :(
Such is life. SO! Cheer me up! Tell me where you would like to go!!! And maybe even why and all that stuff. <3:p-grin: |
Murren is superb! As is the Hawk Castle, and the Ice Caves...
*Now out to work till midnight* Edit: Okay...not quite (10:30) Murren is a city so high in the Swedish Alps that you have to take a cable car up there. It is a small village with no cars...reminds me a bit of a nice college campus. Above there, there is a rotating restaurant that was used in the James Bond Movie: On Her Majesty's Secret Service The Ice Caves are a wonderfully beautiful formation that are dying in accessible number due to global warming and irresponsible tourism. And the Hawk Castle was where I discovered a love for Falconry... As for new places I'd love to visit...hrmm... The Incan Ruins, The Amazon, A growing list of abandoned parks and centers, several castles in the UK, umm... this list could take a lifetime... |
Iceland, in specific, Reykjavik. I heard it's the human rights capital of the world, not to mention, it's drop dead gorgeous. Picture included.
I suppose I'm biased though. I've been told everything I know about Iceland by an Icelandic politician. :P |
Haha the all seem so wonderful!

Everywhere. No? That doesn't work? Okay, how about Middle Earth?
Still no? How about Arborea? No? Aww, what do you mean those aren't real places? Fine, how about taking a shuttle and just traveling through the universe? No? ....Man, you guys are boring. |
...They killed the space program :p-cry:
Also, tis better to aim for what is practical. I spent too much of my life being bullied for chasing dreams. |

Also, I aim for both. |
*Shrugs* I used to, but I try not to believe in dreams these days. They hurt.
People no longer want to explore space, and the government cut heavily from it. It was a dream of mine to go out and cultivate on another planet or moon. I even made plans for it. Farms on the moon - the only issue would be water. |
I would love to go to Equestria, if we are going that far. Also The Ivory Castle and The Goblin City.

I don't think that it's people no longer want to explore space. But they are spending way to much money on war related stuff and not space. Thanks government! ... dirty bastards....

I'm sorry you're unable to go to Japan. I remember you really wanted to go there.
I really would like to travel to parts of Europe. I really would love to go to Finland. My fiancé and I want to go there for our honeymoon when we get married. Sadly that trip will be sooo expensive. But we're planning on having a very budgeted wedding ^^" We both like the music and would like to see the country. And possibly meet up with someone I know. I also would like to go to Sicily. My mom's family is actually from there. My grandfather and his brother and sister are all first generation born here in the US- my great grandparents immigrated here. I would like to at least see around the area my ancestors come from. |
Serena, You world trip sounds fun!
I might get to go to Japan... maybe. |
For trips that I might actually do, I would like to see Scotland and Moscow, and perhaps more of Norway and Germany (missed Linderhoff Castle). Reykjavik would be neat, and flights to Europe used to stop there for a few hours, but apparently not anymore.
For interests sake, I would like to see some of rural China or another Asian country. I like to see Sennefer's tomb in Egypt but I really don't do well in the heat. There is no particular fantasy world I'd like to go to, as they all seem full of dangerous things, crazy people, and too many near end-of-world experiences. ;) |
Can I add to mine?
The Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the ocean, where fish the size of buses wait in the shadows. Saturn's moon, Titan, where I could observe the rings in a resourceful (if hazardous) landscape. Jupiter's moon, Io - 2010 (sequal to 2001); 'nuff said. Ruins of cities around the US. Alaska - I have a bit of the dream of McCandless, but noted: Alaska in Spring has death to bring. ...and all the others mentioned before... ...and Japan (and Thailand...and Singapore)...most people I like have come from either California, or one of those countries. |
When can I take my RV trip around the United States?
