Late Replies
Have you ever been on a site that you kind of go one every once in a while, but generally just ignore until you're too bored to not go on it? That's how I am with facebook and apparently my boyfriend's sister likes to complain that I reply to her messages... a month later. -coughs-
Any of you guys have this problem? I have this problem with a lot of things. Woops. |
I have the problem on it on several sites, that's why I now in general stick to mmo's
On things like that, I solve the problem by just not replying. :P

Its like that with an rp I have. I love it and will never get rid of it until it fully died and I no longer talk to said person. Though because of life and stuff we get a post in once every three days to a week... its life though some times it happens.
I need a rp to be honest, the others I have I'm caught up on and now bored with itchy fingers.
Haha, you actually just reminded me to check FB.
Yes. Actually, the only other Avatar sight I joined...I lost my password and the lack of a community there for newer people...I just never went back. |
Every staff member can probably tell you I reply slowly and usually hours or days after I get a message BI
Lol it depends on what I'm doing at the moment. If I'm really into the thread I'm posting in, I'm usually waiting on other people to pick up the pace. But if something else comes up or I've lost the mood to post, I'll be a little late. :P So I try not be angry with people who take a while to post. Because I've done it too.
I usually reply fairly quickly unless I get in a certain type of mood...then I just stare at it, wanting to reply, but lacking the motivation to .-.
Wow, it's great (well, not great, but...) to know I'm not alone in this. xD
I'm not surprised, some people do have problems with motivation and sometimes they find it difficult to reply to something. They they generally feel bad for holding someone up because of 'their fault' but it isn't their fault. I feel that way sometimes when I lose the muse to go on with something.
I'm generally quick with my replies.
But I do understand and experience random moods where I just don't feel social. I guess it offsets the other moods where I just seem to keep talking. xD So it's good to have a balance in social stuff I guess. x3 |
That's why I gave up Facebook, for the most part. I rarely went on it, and if I did, it was just to read my newsfeed and see what everyone else was up to. Rarely did I message anyone and even more rarely did I get any replies. I try to stay fairly active on places that I frequent, so I'm far more active here than any other forum.
I am like that with social media. All the important people in my life can find ways to get in contact with me. I can not keep up with face book or a blog I just forget about them some times until I need them.
Yeah it's a motivation problem plus social anxiety. I ALWAYS have ideas in my head so there is rarely a situation I don't have something to say. But I might not feel motivated to post right then so by the time I am motivated time has passed and I'll feel bad about posting. That's when anxiety kicks in because I'm trying to motivate myself to reply and rationalize it's not too bad if I reply now. But then I get all self-judgmental about what I'm saying and how I'm saying it. Like am I funny enough, am I weird, or just plain stupid? I usually decide on the last thing and never post. My name would be on like everything if I didn't have that anxiety.
I have a ton of ideas, but I need to organize them...
