Holiday season means...new swag!

I got Splatoon (among other things) through this, and good lord it's excellent. Its miiverse integration makes me want to draw again, too.

I'm curious if anyone else plays it. :D

I haven't bought it because it lacks local multiplayer, which makes it COMPLETELY worthless to me -- two of the players I would want to play with live with me.

But I've played the Minecraft map and it's a lot of fun. XD

It does have local multiplayer, actually, but it's only 1v1.

I don't particularly like playing competitive games against my wife. ^^() It's much more pleasant to play cooperatively with her.

I wanna play it! But I have zero consoles whatsoever, minus my DS.

I didn't have a Wii U until this week. My parents gave me cash and said, "buy what you want." I bought that. :P Have Splatoon, Hyrule Warriors, and Mario Kart 8 now. Will get smash at some point, too.

Nor what name I'm adding. my miiverse name is "Tohopekaliga," though. (Granted, in game it says Tolin, because that's the name of my Mii)

A splat fest is 2 teams against each other, but it has a theme to it. So Halloween was ninjas vs pirates, 2 weeks ago was Christmas themed so naughty vs nice. And you get Super Snail Shells to upgrade your gear. SO some gear have 1 skill slot, but the max is 3. Use a super snail and it will go up by 1.

Yes they do. It happens on weekends ususally once or twice a month

I will agree that the lack of local multiplayer did slightly ruin this game for me on a bunch of different occasions. I understand why the game can't technically support local 8 player (people peeking onto the other person's screen when they're hiding, small screens for getting up to 8 players and so on.) Granted this could be remedied by adding CPU's in the game so the game can still be 2 player with one person on the Wii U tablet and the other person on the TV.

I've grown more detached with the game because the game has become very unbalanced as of late, granted I haven't played since October so I should come back. There was such a golden time of balance a few weeks after the game came out, but I think the problem came along once newer weapon types were released then the team decided to tweak the original weapons rather then just tweak the new ones that came out to fit in with the rest.
