Dragon Age
Since I didn't find any topic about this awesome series. :3
I started with playing the second game, and was blown away by how well written it was. My character was a female Hawke rogue that used bows, and I romanced Fenris. [mrgreen] When I played the first game, I noticed how much had developed - one of my biggest peeves is that your character NEVER talks in DA:O. Romanced Alistair on a female, elven mage. Yup, I had all three things against me, haha. xD I killed Zhevran. D: Second playthrough of the second game, I was a male warrior, tank spec, I LOVE tanking, omg. Romanced Anders, who is such a sweetie! <3 I am currently playing Inquisition; Female elven rouge with bow, romancing Blackwall. Got Skyhold a while back. I love this game because there is so many options to what you can do! :D |
My laptop can't handle Inquisition (or Mass Effect 3)
I liked Dragon Age: Origins a good deal. (Very much a fan of the Dalish) ...Accidentally killed Leliana. The whole "Ashes" quest...I thought I was doing the right thing by keeping folk from plundering a sacred relic during war time. (I mean, it wasn't going anywhere...so we could easily come back for it...and do you know how much data was lost because military took artifacts/fossils that were safe where they were?) |
My laptop is too bad for the game as well, but I seem to do just fine. I am glad as long as it works. xD
I've only played Origins once, sadly. I like it alot, but I have yet to experience the DLC. Speaking of, I need to get all DLCs to all games! Yes, I want as much as possible, moahaha. xD She can die? :o I must explore this! If I kill her in Origins, maybe she will magically come back Inquistion? She is in DA2 a bit in the end... Oh well. xD I won't question the logic in DA. 8'D Here are my Warden Niendra. She's a female elf mage. My Female Hawke - Aleena Rouge with bows My Male Hawke - Ethan Warrior with sword and shield (I love tanks) My Inquisitor - Ellana Female Dalish Elf |
This is literally my favorite rpg of all time. Just saying xD

Right? :D It's so awesome!

I have an unhealthy obsession with this series, But I remember when I first bought DAO a little after it came out, I wasn't putting to much faith in it, because at the time I had seen some really low budget rpgs that had come out that were sort of disappointing... I WAS SO WRONG THOUGH. I love everything about this game series, From the story, to the gameplay, All the way up to the designs and lore.

I kinda liked Dragon Age: Origins but shutting their main forums down left a bad taste in my mouth.
|
I was not aware that they did that. :(
Also, hi there! |
Hi~
I'm still trying to figure out how to play mages, lol. Need to find a guide elsewhere, me thinks. |
Oh, yeah...you sort of have to switch characters, so that you control/lead with the fighter, then switch back to your main/mage. Pausing to setup a plan helps...
|
Depends on your team and what it lacks! The mage fills thr void
|
I'm trying to learn how to combine spells.

I, too, started with DA:2.
I think I played through as a mage, and wanted to romance Fenris but boy does that guy hate mages and I didn't really build up the romance too much so he didn't love me unless I sided against the mages at the end. ;u; I went back and tried to play DA:O, but gosh does Archer suck on there. I ended up just modding the crap out of it, and that basically ruined it for me. xD I think starting with 2 in general ruined DA:O. I have Inquisition on XBOX 360, but haven't played much of it, tbh. I went to the first huge map area, where you are in the wilderness-y place and gotta get to the castle but there's a ton of those stupid demon-summon things... I've just had a hard time understanding how to upgrade/craft/party build/party structure, etc. with it so I've lost interest in it a lot, sadly. Overall, I do love the games. They are just a bit too complicated for me at some points. |
