What is your favorite movie.

What is your favorite movie?
Most people have a favorite movie, so say what your favorite movie is and if you want why.

The next person adds by saying whether they saw it or not and what they thought about it, and then saying what their favorite movie is ... and so on and so on.

I will start...

My favorite movie is an old one: It is from the 80's and its called Blade Runner, a movie about a world where the Tyrell Corporation creates Replicants, (AI's) which are "more human than humans" Based on the novel: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick.

I love this movie because it is timeless, it looks like it was just made last year. The themes are universal themes, no matter who we are, we all have the same questions about life.

I haven't seen either of those movies... my favorite is Maleficent, I just never get sick of it, and I've seen it so many times I can recite it word-for-word

Sanssouci 01-02-2017 09:44 PM

Pride and Prejudice
Jane Eyre
Sense and Sensibility
Harry Potter
Meet the Robinsons
Despicable Me

Sanssouci:
Wow! that is an impressive list of favorites.

Smoreo: I loved that movie, I couldn't believe how truly good it was!
I should watch it again.

Sanssouci 01-02-2017 11:02 PM

I can never pick just one of anything! I have actually never seen Blade Runner.

Moonshadow 01-02-2017 11:25 PM

I guess it is a movie that had the most effect on me. I remember the opening credits and being overwhelmed with the visuals. I like a lot of other movies, but this one was just special. I have even read the book which is nothing like the movie.

I have to pick an absolute favourite?
Well... Anything from Marvel is an automatic fave for me.
I also ADORE the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies.

The Breakfast Club. I love the message of "we're all a little like each other after all". I loved it so much my senior quote was from this movie.

My favorite movie hands down, is Kung Fu Panda. My second favorite is actually Ever After and my 3rd is The 5th Element.

Hands down Kung Fu Panda is my favorite due to the animation and the story. At first I kind of dismissed the movie because well I have a love hate relationship with Jack Black, however it kind of captures the underdog very poetically. The villain was vastly improved in the second but it was kind of just a nice set up for the franchise. I like listening to the directors commentary about his color theory behind teh animated scenes.

I have a list of favorites.

The Thing, Paprika, Pom Poko, From Beyons, Videodrome, Laura, Day of the Dead, Return if the Living Dead, Hellraiser, Puppetmaster, Shawn of the Dead, They Live, Creepshow, Cabin in the Woods, Invisible Man.

I really love zombie movies but I also love the clarify monsters too. A reason I love Cabin in the Woods is the ref to different horror classics. Plus I love to designs of different monsters. I really love looking at various designs.
