I am extremely homesick for Ireland and I just listened to a folk song about my situation (living abroad and being homesick for Ireland) and that was not the best idea because now its 10 times worse. Lol.

I think I've heard a song about that, but I can't think of it. Irish music is very nice.

I'm...often homesick for places I've never been. Not sure how exactly that works, but it does. Ireland is one of those places.

At least it might've made you feel better that it's a shared experience--homesick for Ireland that is?

...I never get homesick, I think. I always figured that my home was wherever I was so long as I was alive '_'.

So do you feel a sense of belonging wherever you go, or nowhere you go, or an I misinterpreting? :o

Hmm, actually, I've never thought about belonging. Maybe it's my home life, or my far flung moving as a kid (born in Canada, 4 years in China, rest in America), but I've always felt like I was a sort of wanderer that was fine in any place but never really belonged anywhere.
