Syndrone is finally gone.
 

Pretty sad, I enjoyed that site I went there right after Ernya died.
I am happy here, but I did check in on Syn at least once a day. I am sad that we had such hopes when it was sold, and the new owners just dropped it. I do want to thank Yuki the Meddler (if any of you know her tell her Moonshadow will miss her) for keeping an eye on it for almost a year.

Its been expired for over four days though.
Last time it expired it was renewed almost immediately. I've tried loggin on and my virus protection won't let me anymore.

Yeah, it's still there, they just haven't fixed the SSL certificate. If they did, it would be pretty clear evidence Emilio still exists, after all.

I don't think Yuki can get another certificate, though.

Is it bad that my first thought was a relieved "well it's about time"...?
I really wish that the site had owners who actually cared, the avatars and color options were/are pretty nice.

I'm not going to chance going on it. So unless they get the certificate renewed then its gone for me. Kaspersky tends to be very strict with that kinda stuff.

Apparently Yuki the Meddler is running the site alone. I was surprised to see they're the one dealing with spam as well; would be better if there could at least be a mod for that.

Yuki added Narche as a mod, so she's capable of adding people for that, but she can't do anything outside of forum posting related things, so I suppose she doesn't see much point in adding more people.

I see. Have they been releasing updates like new DIs and stuff? Because I can't remember the last time I saw a set release. Or even an avatar of the month thing for that matter.

Nope, not a single thing. That's not Yuki's stuff. She's basically a top-level moderator. From what she's said, I don't think she can do anything other than moderate and post announcements.

At the very least, she is (quite sensibly) unwilling to do anything without any kind of input from the owners of the site.
