when bad things happen

i'm told there's no shame in asking for help.

so. hey. hi. sup, losers.

my little sister is lowkey one of the most important people in my life, even though i never talk about her around here. honestly, i don't talk about my personal life around here a lot, but here we are.

yesterday (or some recent day past, depending on when your eyeballs are seeing this) her fiance was in a bad accident. a 2 ton safe fell on his foot and crushed it beyond the point of saving. they're a young couple just trying to get by and in no way have the finances to deal with this situation, and while family on all sides is helping to do what we can, i'm sure most of you guys around here know that medical costs are no joke.

We've got a fundraiser set up if anyone does happen to have anything to spare.

if not, that's cool. just carry on. things are rough all around. i just figure if i can help them even a little by posting here, it would be wrong not to.

I would help if I could but as it is I have no income myself. I have just gone through back surgery and am struggling hard. I don't even have the money for meds. I am so sorry to here about your issues. I hope everything turns out okay for her and for you. My best wishes to all three.

update for anyone interested, boyo is at home, staying with his dad until he's recovered. my sis is a disaster right now, but he's doing alright. i haven't seen it, but i hear the wound is as clean as anyone could hope for and the surgeon did a top tier A+++ job with him.

Yay for a good surgery! Hopefully the physical therapy goes smoothly, too.
Good vibes to your family, Gallabro.
