Your Heritage, what is it?

What is your blood heritage that makes you? Doesn't need to be very anally specific down to the hundredth percent.

For Example (a fact example):

I'm mostly German (I think it's West German I need to ask my Dad on that), Portuguese, Dutch, Wales, Welch, and less than 1% Native American (Sioux Indian Tribe).

What's your heritage?

According to my mom, I am German, Czech, Scottish, and whatever the Hell Scott's Irish is supposed to be. I don't really know how much of what is in my blood, other than my great-grandmother was Czech.

Echo-chan713 02-16-2011 06:20 PM

From Scotland and Ireland

I'm about 1/4 Korean, 1/4 Native American, and the other half is mostly Scottish, but probably has some other stuff in there that I don't know. It's the Native American and Scottish-mix that shows up in me more, even though the Korean blood is so purely Korean, I'm distantly related to an old Korean emperor.

I had a German great-grandmother (one of our ancestors was a duke who built a cathedral that I think is in Austria) and some Irish, English, and Cherokee blood. On the other side of my family, I'm descended from an English knight and have some Scottish ancestors.

I'm mostly Irish and welsh on my mom's side. I call it's Isle-ish since here family tree is from all over the British Isles...

My dad's side is Polish and Serbian.
That's it really...

Don't take this as a weird thing, but I envy people who have a varied heritage....

Supposedly I'm Taiwainese (meaning, descended from the CHinese people who moved to Taiwan several generations ago...) because that's what's been written down, but I could be part native Taiwanese (like, aboriginal Taiwanese?). No one knows for sure whether the records are true, because, you know, some ancestors faked their heritage to be able to proudly proclaim shit.

Not too much going on on my side.

Echo-chan713 02-16-2011 07:52 PM

There's nothing special that I'm related to like high royalties.

My great grandfather got marooned by the navy in World War 1 in New York City because he had Turbirculoisis from Germany so he lived in the basement of a hospital with no education and doesn't know how to speak to the Americans for a long period of time(cause well, he only spoke German)

Then he learned the language and being taught by the nurses and doctors and became a voulenteer at the hospital for German immagrants.

Pikal 02-16-2011 10:01 PM

I'm a mix Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Native American, French, and probably a smidgen of everything else somewhere along the line.

Nicole 02-16-2011 10:22 PM

Native american shows most in myself... but other then that a white mutt. I don't know much cause my mom is adopted and my father's family cut ties with mine.

Yommy 02-17-2011 12:14 AM

Well I only know a little about my dads side, my family never talked about their heritage much. According from my dad though I am a very small amount Cherokee Indian and mostly Irish.

Sabrehagen 02-17-2011 02:41 AM

I'd say it's 70% Scottish, 20% Irish and 10% German from what I can tell. Well, the more well known parts.

My last name is Scottish. The rest of me is English, German, and my grandmother was French Canadian with a line of Native American ("American" as in the continent, not the United States: they were Native Canadians. xD) but I really haven't traced my genealogy back to specifics. All I really know are surname origins.

Echo-chan713 02-17-2011 03:06 PM

My last name is German for "people who are disticted as the maker of collars or the people who are famous for wearing them"

So I'm a pet by name XD
