So many gay friends. LOL

During my high school year, I found out that most of my friends I hangout with are bi and gays. Trust me, there are a lot of them!

It is kinda shocking and I'm kinda laughing because it is a queer thing. It is like everyone I know are gay. ♥

I found that happened to me in high school. All of my friends ended up being gay, or bisexual. Which was really ironic because I'm queer and have known since I was about 15 or 16.

Now that I'm in college most of my friends are still LGBTQIA. Just this time I get to choose. I still have straight friends, however, I see them less often then I see my queer friends. It has nothing to do with sexuality, at all. If anything its because I'm in the LGBT Center or the Pride office. I would like to point of that one of my biggest supports in my life, happens to be a straight mother of a 3 and a half year old.

A lot of my supports come from my straight friends as well, including straight guys at school! Some of them actually want to hit on me *cough* If you know what I mean. Some think I want them, but heck no. I am really picky!

I know what you mean. Though me and my straight friends joke around all the time. I'm a safe person to flirt with or if they've had a bad day and they need a cuddle buddy.

And my straight friends are AWESOME for speaking up for my rights when I can't. Not saying that my Queer friends don't speak up for me, in fact, the people that I trust most to bail out of a bad situation are my queer friends.

hmm I seem to befriend gay people and yet the straight (guy) friends I make are more strongly against homosexuality. Not actively against but they think it's disgusting. Two ends of the spectrum.

I'd have to say that I hang out with a lot of gay, bi, and straight people equally. My best friend is also gay so we tend to be with other gay people a lot. x3

I knew a couple of people in my high school class that were homosexual, none that I've found out after graduating. Then again, I have no contact with my ex-classmates since I hate them and wish to never see them again 8D

On high school, there was only 1 guy who was openly gay. The complete school knew it and no one cared. Some people of another school found out and wanted to beat him up. My complete high school defended him and we all kicked their asses

Hardly any of my friends are gay or bi, however pretty much all of them accept my own pansexuality without any problems :3

Thats awesome! I wish more high schools were like that. =D

During School for me one of my friends (she was kinda the leader of the group) told everyone she was bi. Theeen everyone started saying they were bi. One kid even told us he was gay even though he was dating a girl like a month before. (He thought it was "cool" to be gay.)

Now when this all happen I prided myself on being straight but okay with everyone else being who they are. However I ended up falling for one of my close friends who was a girl... And let me tell you, being Mormon and being in love with a girl was hard..I'd didn't tell anyone till senior year..x.x

Anyways after school end half of my "Bi" friends turned out to be straight and got married. =.=;; It kinda pissed me off because it was hard for me to come to terms with that part of me...
Man sometimes I'm too open lol

Desmond 04-09-2011 04:06 PM

I know what you mean. Most of the "Bi" friends that I had in high school ended up straight. None of them have gotten married yet, so, it's gonna be interesting when it's time for my high school Reunion. ^^;

Out of everyone I knew in high school that considered them "queer", only about 6 of us still consider us "queer" out of like 20. So, I understand that part.

There are actually a lot of gay guys in my school and so many more closeted, as my best friend would know personally. xD The funny thing is, I don't really get along with most of the gay guys in my school that are openly gay. This one kid in my school, I'm pretty sure he is gay, but isn't out of the closet or it isn't a known thing. I've known him since Elementary School and my suspicions keep rising. Gaydar goes BEEP BEEP BEEP!

It was a small school and every one knew each other. A lot of siblings and cousins. If you touched one of them, you had every one on school angry

That's how mine was. Except for a few people, I grew up with everyone I graduated with. It was a very small high school though. Three different towns and my graduating class was still only around 120. ^^;

It became so well known that by the time the senior trip came no one was batting an eye to me rooming with the same sex. I voiced the concern because I was terrified of making someone pissed off enough to hurt me and I didn't want to make someone uncomfortable as well. The president of my class just kinda blinked at me and said don't worry about it.

Man, was I over reacting. ^^;;;

My high school was in a city, with a lot of small towns around it. From my town, there were only 1 girl in my class, my brother and me. My graduation class had around 100 people in it and we had one the biggest classes of the complete school.
