Woopsy no one else is laughing. . .
So I went to see the movie Soul Surfer with my mom and sisters tonight and there were a few parts of the movie where I was giggling. Not laughing right out but the people around me could hear. The one time struck me the most because the entire theater was so quiet. Dx
And this is a serious movie it's kinda bad to be laughing. Though I really did like hte movie and it made me cry more then laugh thats for sure. Has something like this happened to you? |
It's happened to me before. I think part of why that happens is because those who go and see it think "Oh this is such a serious movie, I can't show any emotion except sadness otherwise people will think I'm insensitive." Which is just so bogus since we all have emotions.
And I also think that other people felt the SAME way you did. I know I do. ^^;; |
that happened when i saw the 2nd(as in attack of the clones), when anakin was saying how he slaughtered all the sand people there was this kid up front laughing his head off
|
Dx that was so not funny Anakin is such a dink I don't see why Padme likes him. . . So sad when he killed the younglings I would got up and slapped that kid who was laughing is he laughed at that part.

And old friend, her boyfriend, and I all went to see Ultraviolet in theaters and at the scene where the main character gets shot, the boyfriend jumped out of his seat and practically pissed his pants from the loud bang. He and his girlfriend burst out laughing, totally ruining the sad/serious part of the movie ... for the ENTIRE audience x.x

I had it a lot of times that I laughed at parts of movies where I shouldn't laugh. Original ways to die is always a good one to make me laugh
|

I wouldn't worry about it to much. People have different ways of reacting to movies, and different senses of humors. You just saw something that was funny that someone other people didn't get. That's okay. I mean, when we went to the theater to see Hamlet my friends and I were probably over excited when they decapitated his head, but I don't care. It was fantastic.
|
Hmm not that I can think of right now. I know I laugh sometimes during serious moments of death as a means to relax and actually convince myself of humor in the situation. Battlefield LA and um..what is that movie with the alien invasion and bright blue lights?
|
When Sweeny Todd was released my friends and I went to see it, every time someone would fall and break their necks I couldn't help but laugh. It was absolutely horrid. |
oh god, I do this allllllll the time, the more inappropriate the time to laugh the louder I seem to be. Recall in the Titanic when the guy 'pings' off the propeller? Yeah, that was me howling with laughter in the theater. Know in Tangled where Flyn and 'punzi are having their moment? Me, giggling in the chair. I really, reeeeeeeally find the 'dramatic tension' moments of most movies to be silly, and so I laugh. I've been glared at by other theater patrons, staff and friends...but my bff laughs at the same stuff I do so we often just giggle together.
|
Faxing, I do the same thing! I just can't help but start laughing uncontrollably when that part of the movie comes up! I think what makes it worse, though, is that I sing "A Little Priest" while I'm cooking XD If I'm lucky, sometimes I can get my brother on Todd's part.
I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2 once, and I couldn't help but start laughing my head off when the giant squid pulled that ship under. The guy sitting next to me gave me this horrified look and said, "How is that funny?!" |
*cough* Why...no I didn't laugh my head off when I saw the Twilight and got glares from all the insane fan girls... >.>;
|
Fizzy xD
That had to be uncomfortably traumatizing though. -pats head- |
Holy hell it was!! D: lol they threw popcorn at me TT-TT I thought they were going to kill me!
|
I've done this plenty of times. It kinda happened the most when I was in school and watching movies. Heck sometimes I laugh for no reason and people are like "whats your issue?" lawl. :P
