I need help naming my puppy!

So there's this dog that I want. I'm not necessarily adopting him, but I would like to.
So even if I don't, I at least want to give him a better name because he's my foster dog. His name right now is Scout and I just don't like it. So I'm looking for something a bit more creative.

A little bit about the dog:
He is a male 2 year-old Australian Shepherd.

I'm looking for CREATIVE name.
Preferably something that has to do with Australia.
Please do not suggest Max, Buddy, Sam, Bailey, Bella, etc. Although those names are nice, I'm looking for creativity.
I work at a dog daycare/boarding facility and I'm looking for a name that no other dog will have.

So, thanks guys! I can't wait to hear what you come up with. <3
If I decide to use a name you suggested, I may just give you a little prize! o: <3

What's his personality like? If I knew a little bit about him I could help you come up with a snazzy name. ^^

Also, he's adorable. Be careful, I might snatch him away! XD

If he is two years old, wouldn't he be adapted to his name already? He's not a puppy anymore.

you say Australia and the first thing I think of is sidney, the second is Bruce, and the 3rd is Squish XD.

Well... I hear Australia and think of Vegemite (thank you Ashy >>)...but I doubt that works for a name... Maybe "Mighty"? Gah. I suck at naming :x

he's so cute sorry i don't have any good name suggestions. How about Shigure!

Nanka; He is a recue, and has only had the name Scout for a few months. There's nothing wrong with re-naming a dog at any age. Most people actually will recommend it because it's a fresh start with a fresh family because in most cases, previous families either abused or abandoned the animal.

Desmon; He's really high energy. He loves to run around, play with toys, play with dogs. He's also a reallllly big cuddler and loves sitting on my lap.

Poggio; Yeah, I thought about those. I know real people with the name Sydney and Bruce though.

Duchess; Yeah, I thought about that, but I couldn't make it sound cute enough. xD

Fey; I loooove Fruits Basket. <3 But that's not Austrailan-sounding.

Hehe Shigure <3

I don't know anything that sounds Austrailan... Austin would be a pretty name though :3

why not call him bandit? the original settlers of australia were criminals exiled from England.

also Australian shepherds are not actually from Australia, they're a mainly American breed that originated in...I wanna say the scottish highlands but I may be wrong...western Europe thought

Mhm.... High energy, likes to cuddle, likes to play with other dogs and toys... mhm....

How about Nemo? I know that Nemo is a fish, but, it fits and I highly doubt that you're gonna find a dog named Nemo. AND it's kinda Australian if you think about. Nemo has the accent and lives off the coast of Australia. ^^

I think I have a nice name for him:
Kaib or Kabe :3

but you decide, ano-chan!

I AGREE WITH NEMO!

it's very cute >w< And is Australia related!

Misericorde 04-29-2011 07:39 AM

How about Deogi? [Dee-oh-gee]
It's a play on words. You're basically spelling dog, but it's a creative name.

Nanka 04-29-2011 01:28 PM

I don't know why this makes me think of Australia, but the name Chomper comes to mind.

Booga 04-29-2011 02:41 PM
