The Perks Of Being A Wall Flower?

So I've dorkily made a summer reading list, and The Perks Of Being A Wall Flower is on it! I've read the description and it sounds good, but I was wondering what anyone who'd read it thinks of it.
Was it good, bad?
I'm curious as if it's worth buying, since I've got a list of things I'm planning on purchasing, and I don't want to waste money on something I'm not going to enjoy reading. D:

If you didn't think it was good, could you maybe recommend some books that are? : D

I haven't read it.
Actually I haven't read anything in a while.
Soo.
Maybe I'll pick it up and read it if it sounds good~

I've seen the anime and the live action versions, but haven't seen the whole series

MuseSick 07-28-2011 09:51 PM

Oh really Echo? I had no idea it was anything more than a book. I mean I assumed it'd be a movie maybe, since it sounds like movies already made like Ten Things I Hate About You and such. xD

And Ash, you really should! : 3 xD We can read it together, and have dorky book discussions.

uhm, echo, I think you're mistaking the title with either The Wallflower or soemthing else, this book wasn't made into anything yet, it's slated to be made into a movie next year....

MuseSick 07-29-2011 12:00 AM

That would make sense.. xD
I mean I haven't read it yet.

Have you by any chance Fey? ^ ^

Fey 07-29-2011 10:18 AM

I have not, though it's on my friends reading list, I'l poke at her and see if she's finished it yet

MuseSick 07-29-2011 10:34 AM

Ooo, that'd be awesome 8D
I'm really looking forward to reading it.
Since- I don't usually read highschool drama anything..
Aside from 13 reasons why~
Which is about a girl who leaves tapes after her suicide, to each person explaining why, and a boy listens to every single one of them, and finds out why- because he never did anything too her ect. xD It was really good.

I read the book and really enjoyed it. It was odd and unique, but pulled that part off well. The book was heart-wrenching for me. I think anyone would at least benefit/take something away from reading it, even if they didn't like it.

Not read it but I have heard of it before. I'm not sure where exactly. I've created several sheets of paper with a books list that I inevitably lose. >=|

So now I have an electronic one on my computer. Will you share with me your list? I wanna add some x3 One on the list, and now on my phone, is Pride and Prejudice. I haven't read far cause it was hard to read the first page. Interestingly though Prince by Machiavelli was what pulled me away from trying and it's even less in English than that.

By the way thanks for adding another movie to my movie list. ;)

Oh hi! Sorry for the late reply guys!

Well Jurinjo!
I'd say I- Well I lost my list D:
But you should definitely check out!!

The Book of Awesome (It's a silly book you can pick up whenever)
Across The Universe
Candy Darlings (Sick and twisted, I'm going to start reading it tonight!)
And the Angle Riots
as well as
13 reasons why and the Perks of Being a wall flower.
All books I loved when I read them, or am going to be reading :D
