I got bit by the Lurk Bug
I see so many posts I want to respond too and I even have PMs to respond to. Subjects I should be bringing up with friends...but I can't bring myself to really talk. Yesterday it was to some random threads that meant little to me at the time. But I still can't really talk. Chances are I still won't once this thread is made but I at least got this far typing once i realized this would make worthy subject.
So anyone else ever get bitten by the bug? D= How about any defense or cures against its poison? |

I get hit every once in a while by this bug. I just lurk in my charity. =/ watching people posting in a spot i am familiar with brings me back

╔═════════════════════════════════╗ (｡◕‿◕｡) I'm always bitten by this bug. I still haven't found a cure for it. I lurk and try to find a place to post but am too afraid to post somewhere and unsure where I should post at all. It's an annoying habit I have and I wish it would go away. I love posting here. I wish you the best of luck overcoming this disease. The only thing I can think of is go somewhere you feel safe. A thread that makes you completely comfortable and force yourself to make a post. I tend to get a nibble from that guy after I am gone for a couple of days. I come back and feel like it would be awkward to re-insert myself into conversations. Then I realize that without talking I won't get funds, and well, I need more funds. So I force myself to comment on at least a few threads I've been in before, then it gets easier to go to others.

I get bit by the bug when no one is on here as well as there isn't an open discussion or time to pop in a thread

I'd more likely say I get bit by it a lot along with other bugs *glares at this spider in my room*
but anyway if I really get it bad I just randomly go post in game forms for a while before I get up to being able to post other places, I'm someone who rarely posts anyway so game forms are helpful even if the gold count is so much smaller there, it sometimes helps me that or just telling myself, that I'm fine and not to worry so much |
JuJu I happen to Lurk and try to post with both my jobs I need to show people I am alive that is how I get around it but sometimes if I feel like not posting I will wonder around and see what happens looks for a place to jump in.

I tend to lurk on most of the forums I join. The bigger the board, the lesser the chance I'll actually post. I'm meh about initiating conversations with strangers and big crowds in Real Life too, so I just lurk.

I usually just lurk unless I feel I have something to contribute to a conversation. I'm like that offline, too.

There are some days I just feel like reading conversations. No particular reason. Sometimes I just jump in spontaneously.

It really depends on how I feel. Lately I have been signing on, checking for someone, then vanishing again... -sigh-

I've been only replying to comments on my profile and my role-play. I don't go anywhere else. xD I should really help keep the site active. |
