Mind Critiquing My Website?

So, in my web design class, we're working on creating this Ultimate Fitness website. My website is coming along nicely, and even though my teacher says it's looking good, I'd like some opinions from people that aren't in my class.

Note : the Contact Us, Resources, Class Schedule, and Nutrition within the Fitness Tips page do not work.

So, how do you think it's coming along ?
I want honest opinions here.

The set up is very nice. The link's are all easily accessible. I'd say thus far you have a nice looking site in the works.

One thing I would suggest is going over each page of the site thoroughly, looking for typo's. Maybe have a friend double check it as well. I only began reading the "About Us" section when I found a small error:

"Our membership packages are flexible so you can sgn up for a shorter term and not be locked into a long-term commitment."

I'd also suggest you read through the site aloud so you can hear how professional or otherwise the structure sounds. (You're going for a professional tone, yes?)

Those are the only suggestions I really have. The site itself looks nice~ Thus far, it seems quite well done. :)

I think it is nice looking but where it says "Our Class Schedule is now online" that part is running over on the right and I cannot read the end of the words or see all of the picture that is in that frame. I am using Firefox. Also the type on the right where it says VIP Pass, VIP is hard to read that font and also it looks busy over the picture, not sure what that is a picture of actually. But the 50% off type font, that is hard to read. And I think you would do better if the type on the sides did not have to be read sideways I am thinking. Where it says Ultimate Fitness at the top there are some words right under but they are running into the bottom of Ultimate Fitness. You should put a tad bit of space so that "The Ultimate Health and Fitness Center" does not run into the type above it. The colors you selected are nice and warm and energetic. I like the gradient that you used, looks excellent.

Over all it looks good nightmare, I am a little excited to see stuff from you coming out because I know Illusions keeps trying to get us to hire you, though we can't til you are 18 or older.
But I do see a few problems with the website that may not be your fault but im not sure. The Free trial/member pass things, are very hard to read. As is the white text on the black right below the header. The header also took me a minute to read, which on those its mainly because the background 'noise' on the images. I am not sure how I feel about the side way labels, they are actually the hardest thing to read. On the bottom, you could put all that information into one column rather than splitting it. I would put the address etc on top and then the copyright and your name below that but it could be done either way.

I on the other hand really like the over all set up of the site, but I would switch the information text and trial/member passes. The scroll bar being in the middle looks very awkward.

I can't change anything text wise. xD
But I do have a bad habit of typing too fast. |D

I've designed this more for chrome,
and have yet to try it in firefox.

Next November I'll be 18, so I'll try to make sure I have a
good understanding of what I need to know before then. ~
As for the passes, I was thinking the same thing ..
But when I asked my teacher, he said it was fine. x __x
Hence why I decided to come ask for some opinions.
