And hello there Rose. I'm actually rather thrilled as this is my first event so far on Trisphee.

Hullo :o.

Yes I was also away from Trisphee for awhile due to a number of things, a little bit more busy IRL but also bought a Kobo reader... and... actually did a bit of reading (imagine that).

Poggio 05-16-2012 11:11 AM

A kobo reader? Is it like a nook?

-finds herself a bit of Jasmine tea-
So speaking of tea theres this site where you can make your own blends of tea.

Yup it is in the same family as a Nook or a Kindle but cheaper than a Nook and freer, format-wise than a Kindle. I bought some books on Google books because they were cheaper there than in the Kobo store. I can't sync my place when I do that, but I can still read them on the reader as well as on google books. One of the things I think is cool is that it keeps track of your reading stats - how long it takes you to read a book, your average time per session, how many books you've read - and gives "achievements" and also the ability to post to facebook a certain line and commentary, or share your achievements, etc...

I'd be weirded out by that... I need to be able to smell and taste the tea, the descriptions by themselves don't really give me much of a picture of what it would be like, but... It is still a cool concept. There isn't a Teavana nearby, haha.

Oh so sorry my dear guest, it seems I need over night or early morning staff it seems.

I get into so much trouble at Teavhana. I want to try everything, and my stomach does not like everything. XD and my friend would read fanfiction on her Kindle, that is all I would use mine for.

I would buy the ones that I somewhat know what they taste like, like I am looking at the Jasmine balls. I like Jasmine tea a lot.

:D Maybe, though possibly just early morning staff since we all seem to hit the hay at the same time.

femme gauche 05-16-2012 11:46 AM

I bought and read all three of the Hunger Games books in the space of a week. Well, a week and a half, because it took me a little longer to get through the first one (just because I wasn't reading as much/didn't have the opportunity). That's fast for me. Haha. But I have 'bought' a bunch of free, public domain books... Charles Dickens, H. G. Wells, Arthur Conan Doyle, and the like. I rather like Sherlock Holmes. I haven't read most of the books that I've purchased yet, but I did read The Princess and the Goblin, before which point I hadn't even realized was anything more than an animated movie.

I don't know about staff... to be honest I don't pay that much attention to those htings, as long as there's someone to talk to xP.

And my experience with tea is limited. I mean, greater than your average American I'm sure, as I've still a variety in the cupboard which do get used, but I still don't know a whole lot when it comes to describing certain 'types'...
