Wacky Avatar Issues

Hi, sorry to bother you all but I am having avatar issues. I go to my Avatar page and Edit Avatar and here are the issues:

1. Sometimes I click on an item and all I get is the word "loading" and that word never go away and the item poses never show up. When this happens I have to exit and go to the forums and give it some time and then I can go back and load the items.

2. Sometimes when the "loading" issue happens it then drops some of the equipped items that have been put on the avatar but not been saved yet and I have to put those back on.

3. Today, just now, all of the base items dropped off and so I will now have to go and re-equip these spontaneously un-equipped items.

Again, this only happens to the un-saved avatar that I am working on. Is this just the way it is and I will need to save in stages, or is this wacky?

Browser: Firefox
OS: Windows Vista (but it happened on my Wdo 7 computer too)

Edit:
1. It was ONLY Event items that dropped.
2. I decided to save the avatar in case it went wacky again so actually it was this avatar that I was working on.

I get this kind of 'wacky' experience with trying to make a "next" avi...
Thought I was alone. XD and I would usually do the same thing to try and fix it. Refreshing the page while you're editing them doesn't help as well.

Ok so I am not alone. So that says a lot actually. Do you use firefox too?

I use google chrome...but I experienced it in Firefox and even in Opera.

You have to give the avatar editor a little time between having the items on to hitting save. You can find a more detailed answer from Coda here.

And on the loading issue you don't have to leave and go to the forums, you can just hit the refresh button and it should start loading properly. I think it's an issue with the server not always responding quickly. Oh I found a quote from coda from another thread.

I've had the same issue lots of times, but it seems to be only on certain days. it will happen multiples times in a day, then not for another 2 weeks o-o

I just waited patiently for the loading. I figure the more you kept on clicking or trying to force the issue, the worst off it gets.

Yeah what Lancelot said, in peak times or when new items are released there's a higher strain on the server because of all the people in the avatar editor. Just give it a little to load and it should eventually. Patience is key :D

Thank you for your suggestion Ashy, I am patient so that is not the issue. I have had the problem when there have been relatively few online (5 at one point). Not sure what to make of that. Anyhow, your comments are appreciated.
