Things to Talk About While Sitting in Class
You know, when you're at college in class and supposed to be paying attention?
Yea well I can't read any of the shit my professor sticks on the board so I've decided Im'a fail, and talk to you as I do so. You ever slack off in class? |
... I was drawing while in class... I never paid attention in physics... and still passed with a B
|
Well I hate learning how to read music. It's the most boring thing ever. And it's been what's on the board since this semester started.
So boring. So.. boring. |
Music? understand I am in Jazz appreciation... I dont get it at all when he gets to the technical stuff
|
I'm just not a fan of learning music, listening to it, yea.. reading it.. nah..
|
I like listening to it but jazz... it puts me to sleep... and then he gets all technical and I try not to pass out.
But on to happier things... |
Still learning to read music, there are no happy things. ಠ__ಠ
|
What type of class is this?
Cause I learned to read basic music in band. |
Introduction to Art. I joined for the art. Not the reading of music.
|
Music is a form of Art... but making you read music... Icky.
Some people can't read music well it all gets jumbled to them. |
I've never taken any sort of music class aside from band in junior high. I suck at sightreading music so I quit. :B I was pretty good at understanding the technical concepts when I took piano lessons as a kid, but reading the music just screwed me over.
I play Pokemon when I'm bored in class. Sometimes actually going through the game, but usually Battle Tower stuff. Grinding through a bunch of battles doesn't distract me completely from the lecture, so I find I absorb enough information to get by. Much more than I would taking a nap, at any rate. |
I was just playing some minecraft. xD
|
I had a class a couple of years ago about using electronic resources for library research. The class was in a lab, it was really easy, so I just messed around on Gaia most of the time >.>
I'm currently grinding my way through a Master's degree in Library Science, but I sort of suspect it's mostly just going to leave me with a lot of student loan debt... |
I've had classes like that. Freshman year I had a two-hour block world history class at three in the afternoon on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. When it became inevitable that I would always sleep or draw through the whole class, I stopped going. I passed the class in the end, but just barely. If you're motivated enough to keep up with the material outside of class, you can afford to goof off a bit during lectures. I'm not really like that, at least ninety percent of the time. :/
I used to play violin and percussion in high school orchestra and band, respectively. I also played in college pep band and concert band during my first year. And I never learned how to sightread. I am an incredibly slow reader. I ended up memorizing all my music. It was pretty manageable for, like, bass drum, but I never really got a chance to develop as a violinist, even though I played for six years, because every time I practiced, I just focused on memorizing my music and didn't get a chance to work on my technique. It also doesn't help that I skipped sixth grade and missed the training year for middle school orchestra. :/ |
As an undergrad I wrote a LOT of dirty fanfiction in class... well, and other stuff. But mostly dirty fanfiction.
|
I always draw in class. Occasionally I fall asleep...that used to be every single Calc class in my junior year.
