Before I Die I Want To ______
Now I'm not sure if this goes here, but I thought it would be interesting to have a thread like this. I came across a link on Stumble the other day and it got me thinking.

Death is all around us, and no one knows how long they really have. The Website above talks about a chalkboard in New Orleans where people just write what they want to do. " It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget what really matters to you. When Candy lost someone she loved very much, she thought about death a lot. This helped clarify her life but she struggled to maintain perspective. She wanted to know what was important to the people around her. So with help from old and new friends, she turned the side of an abandoned house in her neighborhood in New Orleans into a giant chalkboard and stenciled it with the sentence “Before I die I want to _______.” so anyone walking by can pick up a piece of chalk, reflect on their lives, and share their personal aspirations in public space. Before I die I want to... be happy.

Before I die, I want to be able to check off a list, knowing that I sent every day in conscious memory at least trying to bring a spark of joy to the lives of the people around me. It's my only job: Laughter. So, I just want to make someone laugh, every day, until I laugh myself to that final sleep.

Ive actually seen one of those walls. And my and my best friend wrote on it.
I said that before i die i want to meat my grandchildren. She said before i said i want to move out. I think this is a really cool idea! |
I know this sounds like a cop out, but here is my go at this:
Before I die I want to live Before I die I want to love Before I die I want to see Before I die I want to be Before I die I want to breathe Before I die I want to sow... I want to cry, I want to laugh, I want to shout, I want to pout, I want to clench my chest to feel this pain that wallows up inside. Before I die... I want to exist... Because to me, that truly is the thing that I want to be. |

I want to stop letting myself be pushed into the middle of things. I want to stop holding everyone else up when they only let me fall. I want to love, one man, for the rest of my life. |
