I logged on and there were items in my inventory >v>
Are they something everyone gets{New User Freebies, Milestone Set?} or is it because I was here for the closed Beta?

They are items from both the closed beta and opened beta. users that participated have been given items for participating. Some of those items will be sold later in the yearly shops. So it's pretty much a freebie.
