Hai, everyone!

I'm new, I literally just joined maybe 15 or so minutes ago... been getting used to the site, specifically the Avatar thing. This site was referred to me by Squid (who's also new), and it seems pretty interesting, and the people seem very nice, helpful, and welcoming, so I'm excited to become a part of the community.

My eyes.....!!!

I didn't read it (sorry, bright text like that on white background hurts my eyes) but I'm assuming given the thread's location it's a newbie.

And is cyan really that bad for the eyes? :c Is DeepSkyBlue any better? I was used to using cyan on an older forum I used to frequent, but it did have a darker background...

I guess I'm just getting old.

Yellow is the worst. x.x
It hurts my eyes worse than any other bright color on a white background.
But I wasn't meaning for you to change colors if you really want to use cyan! ^-^;

Wow, yellow is frickin' terrible. Just wondering, but is there an option to change the site color scheme to compensate for the terribly clashing colors on the white background?

And maybe I'll just fluctuate between deep sky blue and cyan depending on mood or level of laziness. :P

Is there also a smiley/emote button or something, or a chart somewhere where it lists all of them, like deviantART?

1 being the smallest and you can just work yourself up the list.

There are Post Icons (when you don't use the Quick Reply) at the bottom of the Message area that you're typing in but they're currently having a Throw an Emote! "An Emote Contest" to get some actual Trisphee themed emotes for the users. I have to go to my photobucket to use mine.

Oh, yeah, I saw those ones, but also saw your Photobucket fire emote thingy and thought there were more. I also noticed in the help forum that they're going to possibly add more emotes, but I had no idea they were actually having an emote contest. That's pretty cool, I may look into that.

No problem! My emote post is here if you want to use them.

Just right click the icon, click "Copy Image URL" and just put it between image tags.

DeepSkyBlue definitely works a lot better. :3 Cyan just doesn't contrast well with white. >w>

Yeah, I'm kind of noticing the difference between cyan and deep sky blue quite a bit... maybe I'll just experiment with colors and see what looks nicest for my signature and things like that.

Your name is also a maroonish color, Arikana - that means you're a moderator or administrator, right? I thought for a second that you could have custom color names.

Also, excuse me, Obsidian (love the name, by the way); I'm probably gonna abuse your smileys because I love them.
