Default Exchange your food #1
The exchange will now take any item you've gotten from this event, and give you a different random item from the event!

It was an unfortunate oversight on my part that prevented that until now, but at least this oversight also prevented the items from being exchanged for non-event things, so you didn't miss out.

Also! There might be a use for a few spare food items next month, we'll see...

-dunks in some items-
The only thing is, no screen shows up to tell me the item I get after I put in an event item. The items do exchange though.

Default #3
...? Really, that's odd. Lemme see if I can pin down why that happened.
Default #4
Hah, woops. Neglected to actually commit adding the message to the response, which meant you got the item, but the exchange didn't know what to tell you so, it shrugged and went back to its desk.
Default #5
Yay it works now! That was fast thanks! I got some event items I didn't have :D

Default #6
Oh? What is happening next month I wonder!
Default #7
Posty posty! I'm hungry.

-Noms on Ginger's tasty-looking Green- You are very well-dressed, yes. Your green looks tasty. XD
Default #9
Next month???? Hmmmm maybe snowfood snowmen :)
Default #10
Now that the event's ended... Is it possible to get other things when trading the event stuff :o?

Default #11
The exchange is still set to exchange foodfight for foodfight.

Typically, I don't switch that out until the next event rolls around.

Might consider changing that policy, though.
Default #12
Ohh okay, but it'll start giving different stuff eventually :D!

Default #13
Yup! Only the current or most recent event items exchange among themselves. After a new event comes up, past event items end up in the same pool as RIGs.
Default #14
When I think about it, maybe having event items stuck together after the event is a good thing, since it gives hope for those who have event items to find missing ones, but more than that it keeps those items in the exchange longer after the event?

Still, how does it work? Does it give a random item that people have tossed in, or is it special in just tossing out random things? If it's the first way, then does that mean you have to throw in a bunch of event items at the beginning of an event?

Default #15
The exchange works entirely based on the inventory of a specific user. (A user I added expressly for that.) So, yes, I generally add a bunch of event items to the inventory at the beginning to ensure it works.

It does a bit of a lookup to decide what an item is. If it's one of the shop freebies, it won't let you exchange it, and if you donate it, it deletes it.

If it's a shop item (in common shop & costs something), it'll swap it with a different shop item. ...I honestly can't remember offhand if token shop items are lumped in with that or not. They might be.

If it's a donation item (costs runes), it won't let you do anything with it.

If it's in the currently specified event item set, it swaps among those.

If it's anything else, they swap among themselves. That means RIG, event, and game items are treated the same.
Default #16
Ohh that's really cool! It's like trading with another user every time the exchange is used! I wonder what that use is :o?

What's a RIG..?
