I haven't posted in one of my threads for over 24hours and I would like to bump it to try and get it active is that legal? I don't want to break any rules. >.<

Is it a shop, quest, art thread? if so you can as long as you don't just say "bump" :3

I dunno, this may be a difference in moderation style but if I were modding a section and someone posted DK's suggestion I'd be considering a lock. Posting in a thread that's fallen inactive means you need to put some actual content in the post; asking other people to come up with content FOR you isn't productive. (We do tend to be more lax about this in hangout threads, but if the thread actually has a topic that's a different matter.)

Also keep in mind that you can't have three posts in a row unless a substantial amount of time has passed since the last post. The definition of "substantial" depends on the section and the context.
