Default How long does it take you? #1
To name all fifty US states that is!!
And done by yourself, though the occasional help from a friend or two for those few tricky ones escaping your mind is fine. Just absolutely no online help!!!

It took me around one and a half to two hours to name all fifty. @_@ And it left my brain sooo tired. But I did it! :D
And I didn't even grow up learning any of the fifty cause I was never taught it in elementary/secondary school since I'm from Canada. So I feel really proud of my accomplishment. >w<

So how long did it take you?!? :]

Haven't tried yet? Then why not do it now to test your brain out? ^_^

Idk, but I had to do it in school for a quiz so I know I can do it and in a fairly short period of time XD

I got to 45 states in 8 minutes, but am missing the last 5 but I think I could get them if I just applied my mind to it.
I used to have a sig. Really.

Ho dang. That's good.
I wish I was that good at it.

I am sure you could memorize them but I have to ask...why? :) Oh I just remembered Minnesota. Make that 46.

I can name like 4 ._. /fail Scottish kid.

I was in a contest to name and point to them all on a map when I was in 7th grade, my best time was 8 seconds. >_>

I had to learn them in grade school in 6th grade
learned them in alphabetical order
just timed myself 30 seconds

I'd have to say good job Arikana
I wouldn't of tried learning them on my own like you did

there was a song my class learned to help us remember it though
called: Fifty Nifty United States
Default #9
Is that the one from the animaniacs.

I would have to look at the map and then Ill know the states

Mmm...I probably would be easier for Americans. But it was killer for me. ;_;
Why do you guys even need fifty states? Us Canadians only have ten provinces and three territories... >.>

I don't know why. I live in America and I don't know why. I think it's because of the territories the land went through (ie wars and money) in which it made borders.

Mmm... That makes sense. Though it was still super annoying to figure out the final ten which took 60 to 90 minutes while the first forty was done in about half an hour. >.>

If I really needed to know I could google them. Haha I just did, but my husband and I first got 49 of them. I think if our lives depended on it we would have come up with Iowa eventually.

yeah it can be annoying to remember them all

reminds me when I was little I had someone tell me that the state I was born in didn't exist

yeah had to learn them hmm I stumbled on a few when I tried saying it fast guess I need to look over them again
Default #15
Nope not the animaniacs one
that one isn't in abc order and includes capitals which the one I learned was just the states
animaniacs one is silly
Default #16
No idea, probably a while, since I'm Canadian too.

We tried that once in English class in high school and we were missing one and couldn't think of what, then we kidnapped a teacher passing by and he figured it out in like 2 seconds. (Indiana, haha.)
