yeah. my accounting class this semester is, like, the first time I've ever not had a chance of getting an A in the class. XD
well, I still have a chance, but I've been doing so bad on the 5-point quizzes, I don't know how I'm going to manage the big exams.
professors get paid to teach, not to coddle kids. if I was a professor I wouldn't want to change the way I like teaching just to suit the needs of part of the audience. and that's why I'm not going to be a college professor.
yeah, accounting is hard not because of the subject matter, but because I'm responsible for listening to my lectures at home on my own. so I usually turn it on in the background while I'm drawing or on Trisphee. :D so I don't pay as much attention as I would if I was in a regular classroom. >.>
and that's exactly my problem. :D I just don't want to sit there and listen to it because it's so boring. I can play it at 2x speed, but he still talks too slow!
I wouldn't call 90% 'part' of the student body though ^^;
And yeah, I can multitask just fine, but I couldn't listen to a lecture while doing something else. That only works for me if I'm, for instance, painting while playing a workshop -on- painting :)
but Battle, if a teacher teaches best through one method, and not nearly as good through another, it might be even worse on the students because it's not the teacher's strong point. it's like a marketing professor trying to teach a spanish class. just because the student might be better at spanish than business doesn't mean the professor should have to change anything, or that teaching the class in spanish will help at all.
